North america, the mediterranean, the caribbean, south america, client testimonials.

Very rarely do I get to have such phenomenal experience with anyone in the boating industry… But the experience with Paul–Cross Chartering Yacht Transport was nothing short of spectacular. The timing, the care, the professionalism…. Makes me wanna buy another yacht just so I can ship it with him haha. Feel free to send people my contact info for referrals. A++++ all the way <3

The team at Cross Chartering Yacht Transport safely and efficiently moved 96′ S/Y Symmetry from St. Thomas to La Paz. This was our second voyage with Paul Haber and his group. Even our grumpy captain was happy, that rarely occurs!

Initially, I received 3 shipping quotes; Paul’s was a good amount cheaper so I was skeptical but man was the experience incredible!!! The attention to detail was beyond professional. Unlike other shipping companies that book you and then you only hear from them twice (loading day & delivery day). Paul has an entire team that was in-touch with me almost daily. He treats your boats like his own and I will never use or recommend anyone but Paul and Cross Chartering!

Professional Yacht Delivery By A Licensed Master Captain

Vessel boat relocation.

Trusted Yacht Delivery is a Florida-based vessel relocation business specializing in navigating the waters of the United Stated and the Caribbean. Whether it’s a motor vessel, powerboat, or commercial vessel, our qualified and credentialed Captains and Crew can safely deliver or relocate various types of vessels to a location that is most convenient to you.

We serve various types of clients, including manufacturers, brokers, dealers, and owners, and we specialize in making vessel deliveries to ports around the Caribbean, the Bahamas, and the U.S. Atlantic & Gulf Coasts. In addition, we can also make vessel deliveries anywhere around the world.

At Trusted Yacht Delivery, we provide yacht delivery and relocation services that are professional and satisfactory. We can also deliver and relocate new construction vessel builds for dealerships and manufacturers, from the shipyard to the point of sale.

One of the most common reasons why vessel and yacht owners are unable to relocate their boats themselves is lack of time. Trusted Yacht Delivery is here for the convenience and peace of mind of boat owners who are too busy to relocate their vessels themselves.

Most of our Captains have thousands of hours of experience in doing offshore deliveries, and some of them have extensive knowledge traversing the waters of the Caribbean and the Bahamas. Many of our Captains also have mechanical degrees, giving them the capability to tend to the needs of older boats that require more mechanical attention.

Want to know more about our yacht delivery services? Please visit our FAQs or Rates/Fees page.

Call our Experienced Team of Captains Today!

Call 855-373-0700 today for a fast and free quote, about the owner.

Captain Dave Subers is a boat delivery and charter specialist with a USCG 100-ton Masters License , as well as thousands of miles of experience. He personally handles vessel relocation jobs, but he also has many licensed Captains, Mates and Engineers available to help with the safe and timely of your vessel.

As a responsible captain, there are two things that he prioritizes in every vessel relocation job his business handles: the safety of everybody in the yacht, and the proper care and protection of the vessel.

Yacht Delivery

Our yacht delivery and relocation services include deliveries to new owners, vessel relocations to new cruising grounds, transfers between dealerships, moving the yacht for the upcoming season, and repositioning for boat shows. With Trusted Yacht Delivery, you can expect that your precious yacht will be delivered to the target location in excellent condition.

Serving the entire East Coast throughout the Caribbean, the Gulf Coast, and anywhere around the world.

Long Distance Deliveries

Long distance delivery jobs are physically demanding and may continue for more than a day, so the Captain will have to bring an additional crewmember with him.

Hiring an extra crewmember can give you peace of mind knowing that your valuable boat will be delivered in a safe and responsible manner. On long distance deliveries, you can expect that your vessel will arrive to you in excellent condition.

A report regarding the overall condition of your vessel will be provided to you upon completion of the boat delivery.

Vacation Yacht Delivery

If you want to make the most out of your vacation with family or friends, have your vessel delivered straight to your vacation destination instead of having to take it there yourself. This eliminates the need to worry about how to get the boat to the desired location and also frees up a lot of your time, allowing you to solely focus your attention on enjoying and having fun. And once the vacation concludes, you can have your vessel safely returned to your home port.

We understand that time can indeed be limited to some vacationers. If that’s the case for you, Captain Dave Subers and his experienced crew can help you out. We will come to your home port and pilot your vessel to your desired vacation spot, giving you the convenient option to book a plane to your destination and arrive there early. After the vacation, your yacht will be safely returned to your property.

Vessel Port-to-Port Delivery

For vessels that need to be transferred to a new location, Captain Dave Subers and his experienced crew can handle one-way vessel deliveries with ease. Whether it’s a commercial vessel, a motor vessel, or a powerboat, we can safely deliver it from any port to the boat dock or harbor of your choice.

As a yacht delivery business that prioritizes the safety of his clients’ vessels, we will use near coastal ocean routes for vessel deliveries whenever possible, making every yacht delivery as safe as it can be. Aside from that, we will do our best to move the vessel when the sun is up and select the route that is safest for sailing.

In 2014, Danny graduated from CSU Monterey Bay with a major in Communication and minor in Business. In 2018, he received his STCW-95 “Basic Training” from TRLMI. The STCW 95 (Standards of Training Certification on Watch-keeping for Seafarers) training includes; First Aid & CPR, basic firefighting, personal survival techniques, and personal safety and social responsibilities. In 2022, Captain Danny received his 100GT Masters and spends the majority of his time running charters on large motor yachts in Southern California. Captain Girard has been exposed to a great deal in the three years he has been delivering yachts. He has completed four Pacific crossings totaling just over 11,000nm in total. One delivery from Oahu to Vancouver British Columbia Canada on an XC-50 and another from San Diego to Oahu on a Catalina 380 as well as two passages onboard a 37’ Hallberg-Rassey, one from La Paz Mexico to Oahu, HI and continuing on from Oahu, HI to Seattle, WA (6,030nm). He has also made many coastal deliveries between La Paz Mexico and Wrangle Alaska including the inside passage through Southeastern Alaska. Many of these deliveries were owner onboard and included deliveries from Ventura, CA to Sequim, WA on a Carver 500 CMY and a 46’ Hallberg-Rassey sailing vessel relocated, also with owner aboard, from Ensenada Mexico to Sausalito, CA. Danny, also, has extensive experience serving onboard larger vessels including a Lagoon 620 Catamaran, President 107’ Mega Yacht, and Sunseeker 76’. As of August 2022 Captain Girard has well in excess of 20,000nm at sea. Recently, he completed multiple deliveries between British Columbia and Washington State repatriating USA flagged vessels trapped in Canada due to the Corona virus. A few of these yachts included a Defever 44, Cabo Rico 42 and an XC-50. He has also completed a delivery along the Inside Passage from Wrangell Alaska to Vancouver, BC. Canada as well as navigating in the St. Lawrence seaway and most all of the waters leading into and out of the Great Lakes associated with the seaway.

In total, Danny is approaching 30,000nm at sea and has learned a great deal including navigation, standards for watchkeeping, diesel engine
maintenance and repair, AC/DC electrical, marlinspike seamanship, sail trim, radar ops, and a host of other subjects such as meteorology and VHF/ SAT communications. When you can’t find Danny on the sea, you’re sure to find him on a golf course.

“ I crewed for Mark on a delivery from Hawaii to San Diego January 2018. Mark is an excellent skipper, easy to work for, confident and not afraid to make decisions. A winter crossing from Hawaii is challenging and Mark was always calm and prepared. He treated the boat as if it were his own and the owner’s interests were his priority. Mark is fun and easy to sail with. He listens to inputs but is always in command. I would gladly crew for Mark anytime. Steve Weiland
“ We wanted to give a shout-out for Captain Mark Fife and his crew at Attitude Adjustment Sailing! My wife and I shoved off last summer for my dream sail from Anacortes, Washington to Oahu, Hawaii aboard our 49’ Hylas “Lady B”. However, after experiencing a number of days of gale force winds off the coast of California, my wife decided that Morrow Bay was a great spot to jump off and wish me luck with the rest of “my” dream trip. As miracles would have it, Mark was delivering a boat from San Francisco to San Diego and tied up on the dock behind us. I explained to him my dilemma and asked if there was any way his schedule could accommodate a rather sudden 15 day voyage to Hawaii? He took sympathy on me, made a few calls and said “I’ll be back in 3 days”. Long story short, we had a great trip, experienced most every kind of weather and arrived 15 days later to a very happy wife waiting on the beach! Mark was very knowledgeable, calm and he and his crewman were easy to be with. It’s not an understatement to say that without Mark’s help I wouldn’t have been able to realize my dream. If you’re considering a similar voyage, one on a smaller scale or a straight delivery, we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Captain Mark and knowledgeable crew at Attitude Adjustment Sailing! Chris & Barbara Jensen Hylas 49 “Lady B”
“ Even though we have been around boats our whole life, they have been ski boats, smaller sail boats and jet boats, this is our first ocean worthy boat. Being very aware of the potential disasters that can occur with inexperienced boaters who think they know everything, we just didn’t want to fall victim to an unforgiving ocean or another inexperienced boater, of which we had observed many times at the various marinas during our two year search for the perfect boat for us. After getting our boat home, we took the boat out on a small lake and knew we had bought a great boat and we decided we wanted to make sure we got the best instruction about our boat, our boat equipment, ocean boating and navigation and after talking with several possible “Captains”, Captain Mark Fife of Attitude Adjustment Sailing, LLC in San Diego, CA was our choice for sharing our first at sea adventure on our new 2002 Regal cabin cruiser. In the phone calls leading up to our big day, Captain Mark made us feel comfortable and confident in our decision to have him on board for our first ocean excursion. We couldn’t have asked for a better day to have Captain Mark aboard our Head Games II. The weather in San Diego started perfect, sunny and the ocean was calm when we headed out of the marina and to open waters. Upon our return it turned windy and cold in the afternoon, so we had lots of opportunity to learn different scenarios that may suddenly and unexpectedly arise. Captain Mark was professional, thorough and obviously very knowledgeable in all things boating. His attention to details was refreshing and his patience with questions was appreciated. He covered a variety of topics including acceptable boatingetiquette, safe operation and navigation through unknown hazards like crab traps, kelp beds, different colored buoys, proper radio communications, vessel going priority. and rapid change in weather conditions and ocean conditions, etc. Captain Mark is very safety conscious and prior to leaving the harbor he thoroughly inspected the entire boat, from bow to stern. He also imparted some of his navigational charting knowledge that was very informative and will be helpful in the unlikely but possible event of navigation equipment failure. Captain Mark even helped us with proper operation of the head, the anchor and other cabin equipment. He has been available by phone call or text with all of our questions after our private session. We could not have asked for a more comprehensive private instruction and we highly recommend Captain Mark for literally anything to do with boating. He was worth every dollar we paid and then some. We are looking forward to our next outing and session with Captain Mark Thank you Captain Mark! Shadow and Diane
“ I had the pleasure of working with Capt. Fife for the relocation of my 43 foot catamaran from Florida to Hawaii. The logistical challenges of the almost 7500 nm transport were expertly maneuvered by Capt. Fife using his diligence and extensive maritime knowledge. Thus, my M/Y arrived safe and in excellent condition. Capt. Fife was thorough, professional and kept me abreast of all aspects along her journey via phone, text and email. In sum, Capt. Fife has my highest recommendation and would utilize his services again without hesitation. SGD, MD Leopard 43
“ I wish to recommend Mark Fife due to my personal experience with him as a delivery captain during a trip from San Francisco to San Diego. We had normal and some rough weather around Point Conception. All problems were well handled andI felt quite comfortable during the delivery. He also advised me on some well thought out pre voyage planning . After we arrived in San Diego I did ask Mark for some additional close quarter instruction and docking procedures with my new boat . As mentioned, all went well. I would recommend Mark as a Captain, for Deliveries and as an instructor . Henry Givre MD NonSuch 30

Welcome to Yacht Relocation

This is your captain speaking.

Captain Randy Register

Greetings from the Tenna Sea!

I grew up on the Tennessee River and had my own boat at age 10.  That began a lifelong love affair with boats and the water which lead to my owning some 40 boats to this point.  That first 12 foot jon boat lead to numerous bass boats, runabouts, triple digit speed go-fast boats, cruisers, motor yachts, and my largest, personal boat to date, a 58' Hatteras as pictured in this section.

As a testament to my abilities, I single handed that 58 Hatt from Pensacola to Chattanooga a few years ago... on just the port engine.  No bow thruster, no autopilot, just me.  That's over 700 miles, 14 locks, and 1 engine.  This after running the boat another 300+ miles on one engine across the Gulf with a ride along mate from Palmetto to Panama City, then to Pensacola.  It's not something I would recommend, but it is proof that I can get the job done under less than ideal circumstances.

My operating experience includes the entire length of the Tennessee River and its tributaries, the Tennessee Tombigbee Waterway, the Ohio, Mississippi, and Illinois River up to Lake Michigan and Lake Huron.  I've also covered the entire coastline of Florida, both coastal and ICW, The Keys, the Okeechobee Waterway, Kissimmee River, New River, Saint Johns River as well as The Bahamas to Turks & Caicos Islands.  Add to that the coast (outside and ICW) of Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana, Maryland, New Jersey, North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas, Virginia and through New York City to the east end of Long Island Sound.

As for personal information, I am a 64 year old, non-smoking, college educated, retail business owner of over 40 years who understands the meaning of customer service.  With that, I will treat your boat as if it were my own, and I will get it from point A to point B as quickly, safely, and economically as possible.  I typically run 10 hours per day, weather permitting, so my clients get a full day's work for a day's pay.  You will never find drugs or alcohol on your boat... unless you left them there. :)

Feel free to contact me with any questions.  When you are ready to move your boat, or if you just need personal instruction on how to operate your boat, I'm your guy.

USCG 100 Ton Master Captain

yacht relocation services

Daily Captain rate is $395.00 per day for up to 10 hours.  We all know situations can present themselves which require running longer or shorter days.  Should it become necessary to run more than 12 hours in one day, any time over that will result in an hourly surcharge of $60 per hour, which is the standard overtime rate of 1.5 x the standard hourly rate.  I will run 10 hours if marina spacing allows it.

Daily rate for a Mate, when needed, is $105.  That makes for a nice tidy package of $500.00 per day, which is what most Captains with even less experience charge for themselves.  I simply enjoy delivering yachts, so there you go.

The above will be in addition to any expenses involved in getting to/from the boat, including air fare and ground transportation.  There will be a travel day before the departure date, and another after.   It is possible that may not be the case depending on timing.  Any delays as the result of mechanical failure, weather or any other situation that has the boat sitting still beyond my control will be charged at the rates above.  I strongly suggest my customers have their boats fully serviced as paying me to sit and watch a mechanic work on your boat just adds insult to injury.  Not only that, you are at the mercy of wherever such a failure occurs.

The biggest culprit I usually experience is water pump impellers.  If you aren't absolutely sure of when they were last changed, and how many hours of run time are on the engines, spend a few bucks and have them replaced.  Sitting is what kills them.

Beyond that meals will also be part of the expenses.  That generally involves sandwiches for lunch, and dinner at a restaurant at or near the marina where we call it a day.  If you accompany me on the trip, you will set the tone for the amount of money spent.  If I (and my mate) move the boat alone, I will happy to offer a flat per diem rate that will preclude any all you can eat lobster dinners.   Not that I would do that, of course, unless you are with me and that's what you order and insist I do the same. :)

What you will find as others before you,  I spend your money as though it were my own.  I will run your boat at hull speed where it is most economical, unless you tell me you want it delivered faster.  I provide for my customers in advance, a comparison of what it will cost to run at hull speed vs whatever speed you choose.

Beyond all the above, most find me an easy person to get along with as I'm not the excitable type.  If you are, bless your heart, I'll be kind.  I tend to look at life on the lighter side, and most enjoy my company which usually results in yet another lifetime friendship.  You will find a copy of my delivery contract that you can read in advance and know exactly how all this works.  It's actually in plain English and doesn't require a law degree to comprehend.

Personal instruction is the same as my daily rate plus travel expenses if overnight stays are required.  There will be no other expenses beyond fuel unless I fly.  The 10 hours start when I leave  wherever I may be and return to whatever point the day brings.

I look forward to serving you.

Randy Register

Rescue Teams Searching Luxury Yacht Hope for a 'Miracle’ but Admit it’s ‘Unlikely Anyone Will Be Found Today’

A rescue operation source tells PEOPLE it's "unlikely anyone will be found during the course of today" as the search continues for the 6 people that remain missing in Sicily following the sinking of the 'Bayesian'

DAPRESS/SplashNews

A rescue operation source tells PEOPLE it's "unlikely" anyone will be found today (Aug. 21) as the search continues for the six people that remain missing after a luxury yacht sank off the coast of Sicily

"There's very much hope for a miracle; everyone expects them to be trapped inside, but the hope is for there to be some form of air pocket," the source says

15 people were rescued in the aftermath of the tragedy, which occurred in the early hours of the morning on Monday, Aug. 19

Those searching for the six people who remain missing after a luxury yacht sank off the coast of Sicily are hoping "for a miracle" amid the rescue efforts.

The Bayesian , a 56-meter (183-ft) vessel, capsized early on Monday, Aug. 19, while carrying 22 people and moored about a half mile from the coast of Porticello, according to a statement from the Italian coast guard previously obtained by PEOPLE.

The search now continues for the missing people on board, but a rescue operations source tells PEOPLE it's "unlikely" anyone will be found today (Aug. 21), "because this yacht is designed differently from traditional ones in that the main cabins are at the stern."

"There's very much hope for a miracle; everyone expects them to be trapped inside, but the hope is for there to be some form of air pocket," the source says.

"There will be searching around the vessel, thinking that, like the cook, someone could be found near the vessel, but that's highly unlikely as well, because after a few days they would rise and float," the rescue operation source adds.

According to Italian media outlets, a man's body was found after the sinking and later identified as the yacht’s chef, per  Reuters .

"It's extremely difficult because while the boat is still intact, the furniture and debris are all over the place, blocking all passages and entrances. So they have to go through the first floor of the galley and go down the stairs at the other end, then travel through the ground floor of the yacht to the other side in order to get to the cabins," the source tells PEOPLE.

Another rescue operations source told PEOPLE that divers' inspection of the wreckage site revealed that the hull of the superyacht is "intact and the mainmast has no damage, at least for the first 50 meters," of the 72-meter pole.

"To rule out structural failures of the hull, marine investigators will have to examine the side resting on the sandy seabed from the inside, but already the hypothesis is emerging that an enormous amount of water entered in a very short time, as this would be the only thing that could [be] causing the hull to rear up which, as several survivors told the investigators, [making] the ship sink in literally 60 seconds," the source added.

Five bodies found, one still missing in UK tycoon shipwreck

Divers searching for six people missing after a superyacht sank off Sicily, including UK tech tycoon Mike Lynch, on Wednesday found five bodies in the wreck, AFP journalists and reports said.

The grim discovery, after three days of intensive searches since the "Bayesian" went down during a storm off the Italian island early on Monday morning, brings the death toll to six -- with one person still missing.

There was no official identification of the bodies but Lynch and his 18-year-old daughter Hannah are among those missing.

The 56-metre (185 feet) British-flagged sailing boat had been anchored some 700 metres off Porticello when it was struck by a waterspout -- akin to a mini-tornado.

It sank within minutes.

Fifteen people were rescued, including Lynch's wife and a woman with a one-year-old baby. But the body of a man, believed to be the yacht's chef, was found several hours later.

Lynch and his daughter, his lawyer Christopher Morvillo and his wife Neda, and Jonathan Bloomer, the chair of Morgan Stanley International, and his wife Judy, were all reported missing.

AFP journalists in Porticello saw emergency workers moving four body bags from boats returning from the sea into a tent on the quay, or into waiting ambulances.

Media reports later said a fifth body had been found but not yet brought to shore.

Firefighters had earlier said that searching the yacht, which is largely intact and resting on the seabed some 50 metres down, was a "long and complex" operation.

Despite eyewitness testimonies that the 75-metre mast had snapped, reports on Wednesday suggested that it too survived the incident.

- Five minutes -

Lynch -- an entrepreneur sometimes referred to as Britain's Bill Gates -- had invited the guests onto the yacht to celebrate his acquittal in a massive US fraud case.

The 59-year-old was acquitted on all charges in a San Francisco court in June after he was accused of an $11 billion fraud linked to the sale of his software firm Autonomy to Hewlett-Packard.

Among the survivors was Charlotte Golunski, board director of a company founded by Lynch, who has described how she briefly lost hold of her one-year-old daughter before grabbing her again. Both were plucked to safety.

Fabio Genco, a member of the Palermo Emergency Medical Services who was among the team that treated the child, described the "apocalyptic" situation he found on arriving at the scene.

"The word that the mother and all the injured kept repeating was 'darkness', the darkness that they experienced during the shipwreck," he told the BBC's Newsnight programme.

"They spoke of about five minutes, maybe from three to five minutes, from the moment the boat was lifted, raised by the waves of the sea, until it sank."

He said the survivors rescued had been in shock: "There were truly apocalyptic scenes where everyone was searching and hoping to find the people who at that moment, were not present or just missing."

All the survivors treated in hospital have been discharged, he confirmed.

- Anarchic sea conditions -

The speed with which the yacht sank, and the fact that other boats around it were unaffected, was extraordinary.

Some key questions remain, including whether the keel, which provides a counterbalance to the towering mast, was down when the storm hit.

Italian authorities have opened an investigation into what happened and are interviewing all the survivors, including captain James Cutfield, a 51-year-old New Zealander, according to Italian media.

The UK's marine accident investigation branch also sent four inspectors.

Matthew Schanck, from the Maritime Search and Rescue Council, told AFP what happened was a "pretty unprecedented", describing it as a "black swan event" -- something that is unlikely, but has a big impact.

UK meteorologist Peter Inness described a waterspout as a "narrow column of rotating air below a thunderstorm that occurs over water".

Like tornadoes, they suck up air in a rotating motion. Many are fairly inconsequential, but some can pack winds of more than 100 kilometres (62 miles) per hour, said Inness.

Jean-Marie Dumon, a former naval officer now with the GICAN, the French maritime industry association, added that conditions with winds of 100kph or more can "create completely anarchic sea conditions which can cause capsizing".
