$1.6 billion dollars to fund Texas Instruments’ new facilities, thousands of jobs expected

SHERMAN, Texas (KXII) - This exciting news for Sherman, TX and the entire Texoma region is what Sherman Mayor David Plyler calls a “generational change.”

“Yesterday, I received a call from Washington, D.C., from the commerce department, indicating that TI had received a $1.6 billion grant from the chips act,” said Plyler.

The grant is to fund three new TI wafer fabrication facilities , two of which are in Sherman (SM1 and SM2) and the third is in Lehi, Utah.

“This grant is split between Sherman and their facility in Utah that’s undergoing construction just like the one here,” said Plyler. “We’re so grateful not only to the commerce department, but to senator Cornyn, who actually was one of the authors of the CHIPS act.”

Plyler says it takes a lot to run these two facilities, which are expected to produce millions of processing chips.

“Not only are these engineering jobs and high tech production jobs, but of course they have security, cafeteria, custodial, they have all these other jobs that go together to provide this working facility,” Plyler said.

Sherman’s two working facilities will be designed to support a sustainable future for both the environment and its employees.

“They’re able to get a job with good insurance and a good salary and childcare and things of that nature,” said Plyler. “It’s going to make a huge difference in a lot of citizens’ lives.”

Plyler says developments like this in Sherman help set the booming city apart from other metros like Dallas, TX. A small town feel coupled with a company that’s been here for over 90 years, reasons Plyler says opportunities are endless here.

On Tuesday, News 12 covered the tortilla chip production coming to town and Plyler says the addition of food manufacturing in Sherman helps the town persevere through economic highs and lows.

“Diversification in your industrial parks is a good thing,” he said. “It kind of gets you through dips and valleys and different economic forecasts throughout the ages.”

Optimism persists for future employees as jobs are steadily heading to Texoma.

Texas Instruments awarded $1.6 billion in CHIPS Act funding for domestic silicon production

It expects three new plants to create over 2,000 manufacturing jobs in utah and texas..

Texas Instruments is the latest recipient of CHIPS Act funds . The 2022 law, signed by President Biden to boost domestic silicon production in the face of increasing Chinese chip imports, will award TI $1.6 billion in grants. The company will also receive $3 billion in loans and tax credits that could amount to $6 to $8 billion.

The effort is expected to create over 2,000 US manufacturing jobs at Texas Instruments’ new plants and “thousands of indirect jobs” for construction, suppliers and supporting industries. TI says it expects to receive another $10 million to fund workforce development.

TI’s grant money will go towards three chip fabs already under construction in Texas and Utah. The plants will produce 300mm silicon wafer chips under the bill’s $2 billion minimum set aside for legacy chips. The CHIPS Act primarily focuses on cutting-edge silicon, like those increasingly used for AI . TI’s production will go towards less advanced processors for things like smartphones, appliances and national defense. GlobalFoundries was awarded $1.5 billion for legacy silicon production in February. With Friday’s awarding of funds for TI, the government has now met its minimum quota for legacy chips.

Bloomberg notes that China has recently boosted its investments in legacy chips. Along with creating US jobs, the CHIPS Act was designed to curtail China’s influence as silicon becomes more of an essential global resource. Other recipients include Intel ($8.5 billion) , TSMC ($6.6 billion) and Samsung ($6.4 billion) .

Texas Instruments said it will spend around $40 billion in Utah and Texas, including two more factories in Sherman, TX. However, those aren’t expected to be operational until after 2030. For the CHIPS Act, the Commerce Department prioritizes projects that can be completed by the decade’s end, leaving those delayed plants without federal funding.

The $280 billion CHIPS Act passed in 2022 with 64 votes in the Senate and 243 in the House. The bill included $39 billion in subsidies for domestic chip manufacturing, 25 percent tax credits for manufacturing costs and $13 billion for workforce training.

After the bill passed in 2022, Biden said it would “strengthen our national security by making us less dependent on foreign sources of semiconductors.” He noted that it included “guardrails to ensure that companies receiving tax payer dollars invest in America and that union workers are building new manufacturing plants across the country.”

Inside the superyacht for history buffs with nearly $1 billion to burn.

It’s for the ultimate seafaring sports fan — and history buff.

A lavish superyacht designed to resemble a centuries-old galleon — and featuring full-sized basketball, tennis and handball courts — is being pitched by a California ship designer.

Steve Kozloff’s The Galleon involves eight decks boasting hoards of extravagant goodies that can be custom-arranged for buyers — who are wealthy enough to foot its roughly $750 million price tag.

The striking nearly 525-foot luxury ship, complete with four massive sails, could hold up to 200 guests and 150 crewmembers, Kozloff said.

“I liked the style of the Old World galleons, especially the glass work at the stern,’’ the ship designer told The Post on Tuesday. “I wanted to imitate that feature.

Illustration of The Galleon.

“Plus, I want to encourage the cruise industry to be more green,’’ he said of the yacht, which would have a hybrid diesel-electric engine in addition to its sails.

1.6 billion dollar yacht

The ship’s planned features include the sports facilities, plus a pair of swimming pools and two “lazy rivers.”

It also includes a helipad and 4,500-square-foot hanger for high-flying guests, not to mention room for six speedboats, four submarines and other smaller watercraft.

Illustration of The Galleon.

Additional onboard entertainment could be found at the ship’s cafe, bar and restaurant.

Kozloff said the price depends on how far buyers want to plunk down on the yacht’s interior furnishings, adding that it would take about $750 million for it to be “properly outfitted.” He said the masts alone cost around $140 million.

The Galleon is considered an “explorer’’ yacht, meaning it could cruise the world at more than 20 mph with a steel hull able to cut through ice floes.

Illustration of The Galleon.

Its length is 70 feet less than the world’s longest yacht, the Azzam, which is reportedly owned by royals from the United Arab Emirates.

The Billion Dollar Superyacht Business Is Booming

By Corina Pons (Reuters) – When Chinese billionaire Jack Ma took a trip to Spain’s Mallorca island last month, much was made of it being his first foreign foray since a 2020 fallout with regulators had clipped his wings.

However, Ma’s sunny sojourn on his newly-built 88-meter (289 ft) cruise boat Zen – estimated to be worth $200 million – also put a spotlight on a global trend: the return of the superyacht.

As the number of billionaires grows and COVID-19 has added to incentives for avoiding crowds, the multi-billion-dollar global luxury boat industry is rebounding fast after near-paralysis at the onset of the pandemic.

Related Book: Grand Ambition: An Extraordinary Yacht and the Millionaire Who Can’t Really Afford It by G. Bruce Knecht

“2021 is significantly outperforming any of the last 12 years,” said brokers Fraser Yachts.

Sales of luxury vessels longer than 30 meters (98 ft) rose over 8% in the first nine months of 2021 from the same period of 2019 pre-pandemic, according to industry publication the Superyacht Group.

The cost of a superyacht can range from $10 million second-hand to $600 million new, industry figures show.

Over 200 new ones hit the water for the first time this year until September, up from 165 in the same period of 2019, the Superyacht Group said.

Some 330 have been ordered to be ready before 2023.

“Some have seen that their ultra-rich friends who own yachts had a nice time during the pandemic, while they had to lock themselves at home,” said Pepe Garcia, chairman of Spanish shipyards MB92, the world’s leading superyacht refit firm.

“I think this phenomenon is going to last for a few years.”

MB92’s Barcelona shipyard is full to capacity with boats measuring up to 180 meters. Around 1,000 workers paint, fix engines and perform other maintenance for owners seeking to have them ready for the year-end Caribbean season.

The company’s commercial director Txema Rubio said as much as 10% of purchase value tends to be spent annually on maintenance and refits.

And with the number of billionaires soaring to 2,755 – 660 more than a year ago according to Forbes – there is clearly money washing around, even as campaigners decry the impact of private yachts, jets, and space travel on the environment.

‘ALL YOU NEED IS NOW’

Italian yacht builder Ferretti’s order book exceeded 900 million euros ($1.04 billion) in January-September, well above 2019’s full-year 691 million euros.

“There is a beautiful song by Duran Duran called ‘All you need is now’,” mused chief executive Alberto Galassi. “The pandemic has taught us how fragile our life is. Postponing is no longer an option for those who can afford it.”

At Azimut Benetti, another Italian yacht builder, the order book tripled to 1.2 billion euros by August from a year earlier, with U.S. clients driving the demand.

“The real boom started last spring,” said chief executive Marco Valle, adding that clients also sought larger boats.

The yacht sector is one of a few winners in the post-lockdown era. By contrast, just half of large cruise ships had returned to the seas by September under strict anti-COVID measures, the Cruise Lines International Association said.

Despite fears of contagion and extra COVID-related costs for travel, appetite remains high.

Spanish-based travel group Amadeus said cruise demand is on the rise for 2022.

Renting a super-yacht is also an option – if you can afford it.

A one-week luxury charter for up to 12 passengers in Greece or Italy can cost between 300,000 and 500,000 euros, two market sources said. On board facilities include spas, Michelin-level dining, watersports instruction and fitness classes.

In another popular destination, Croatia, around 433,000 people enjoyed a yacht charter holiday this year up to mid-October, 88% more than in 2020, according to the national tourist board.

The boom has plenty of spin-offs.

Refitter MB92 is seeking to expand to the Middle East and the Americas, while its Barcelona neighbor, Marina Port Vell, will build 23 new berths for superyachts.

European investment fund Squircle Capital has stakes in both companies, attracted by the sector’s high margins and evolution.

“We believe there is a very clear tendency of growth and transformation,” said its founder and director Jose Caireta.

Chipmaker Texas Instruments to receive up to $1.6 billion in funding from US

1.6 billion dollar yacht

The United States is trying to boost domestic output and reduce reliance on semiconductor hub Taiwan through the CHIPS Act, which was passed in 2022 and can provide $52.7 billion in subsidies for chip production and research.

It awarded nearly $20 billion in grants and loans to Intel, and $6.1 billion in grants to memory chipmaker Micron Technology earlier this year.

"This $1.6B will go a long way in helping Texas Instruments stay competitive," said Kinngai Chan, senior analyst at Summit Insights Group.

"While TI doesn’t play in the cutting-edge process node, mature-node (a less advanced technology) is still very important for the US semiconductor industry," Chan said, noting China was also spending on mature nodes, which represent about half the global chip demand.

Texas Instruments is benefiting from a rebound in demand for its chips, used in everything from smartphones to cars. It topped quarterly earnings estimates last month.

Have you ever wondered what it’s like to own a billion-dollar yacht ? The sheer opulence and extravagance of it all just boggle the mind, doesn’t it? From the Eclipse Yacht to the 715 Million Dollar Yacht and even the top 10 yachts under $1 million, there’s no denying that the luxury yacht market is a fascinating one to explore.

1.6 billion dollar yacht

But what does 1.6 billion dollars even look like? Who owns the billion-dollar yacht, and is it really worth it? In this blog post, we will delve into these questions and more, exploring the world of high-end yachts and what makes them so coveted. So sit back, relax, and let’s set sail on this journey together.

The 1.6 Billion Dollar Yacht: Is It Real

Rumor has it that there is a 1.6 billion dollar yacht in the works, and the internet is buzzing with excitement and speculation. But is it real or just a figment of someone’s imagination? Let’s dive into the details and see what we can find out.

First up, let’s take a look at what we know about this supposed 1.6 billion dollar yacht. According to sources, it will be over 700 feet long, have 11 decks, and feature not one but two helipads. It will also have a swimming pool, a theater, a casino, and accommodations for up to 36 guests and 60 crew members.

Now, onto the big question: who is behind this massive project? The rumor mill has been churning out names left and right, including Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos, and even the Sultan of Brunei. But as of yet, there has been no official confirmation of the owner’s identity.

The Skeptics

While the idea of a 1.6 billion dollar yacht may sound exciting, there are plenty of people who are skeptical that it’s actually happening. After all, even the most luxurious yachts in the world rarely exceed $500 million in cost. Some industry experts have even gone so far as to say that the whole story is just a PR stunt.

The Verdict

So, is the 1.6 billion dollar yacht real or just a rumor? The truth is, no one knows for sure. Until the owner steps forward and confirms the project, we can’t say for certain whether it’s actually happening or just another tall tale. But one thing’s for sure – if it does exist, it will be one of the most extravagant yachts in the world, and we can’t wait to see it in action.

Eclipse Yacht

If the $1.6 billion yacht is out of your price range, don’t worry; there are other luxurious superyachts to choose from. One of the most impressive yachts on the market is the Eclipse yacht. This beauty measures in at a mere 533 feet long and boasts two helicopter pads, 24 guest cabins, and a private owner’s deck complete with its own Jacuzzi.

A Bit of History

The Eclipse was initially built for Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich and debuted in 2010. At that time, it was named the world’s largest yacht, a title it held for several years until it fell to second place. Despite losing its title, the Eclipse remains one of the most luxurious and impressive yachts on the water.

Features and Amenities

One of the Eclipse’s most notable features is its onboard defense system, which includes missile detection sensors and armor plating. While you might not need defense systems on your yacht, it’s undoubtedly impressive to see that level of security on board.

But there’s more to the Eclipse than security. This yacht also features a nightclub, cinema, sauna, and beauty salon, making it the ideal choice for anyone who wants to live the high life on the high seas. And if you’re worried about staying connected while cruising the ocean, the Eclipse has you covered with its own satellite system.

While the Eclipse doesn’t boast the same eye-watering price tag as the $1.6 billion yacht, it’s still a considerable investment with an estimated cost of around $1.5 billion. However, the Eclipse yacht is undoubtedly worth the investment for anyone who wants to enjoy all the luxuries of life on the water.

In conclusion, if you’re in the market for a superyacht, the Eclipse yacht is undoubtedly worth considering. With its impressive size, features, and amenities, you’ll be living in the lap of luxury while cruising the high seas.

A $715 Million Yacht: How the Other Half Lives

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to own a yacht worth $715 million? Yeah, me too. Unfortunately, my savings account isn’t quite there yet, but that doesn’t mean we can’t dream. Let’s take a look at what makes a yacht worth this insane amount of money.

First things first, the design of a $715 million yacht must be exceptional. With this kind of price tag, you’re not just purchasing a mode of transportation – you’re purchasing a piece of art. These yachts are designed by the world’s top architects and engineers, who spare no expense to ensure every detail is perfect. Trust me, you won’t find any Ikea furniture on board.

1.6 billion dollar yacht

Next, let’s talk about the features. It’s not just about having a nice place to sleep and eat – these yachts come with all the bells and whistles you could imagine. Think multiple swimming pools, a helicopter pad, a movie theater, a spa, and even a submarine. Yes, you read that right, a submarine. Who needs a car when you can go underwater?

Maintenance

But wait, owning a $715 million yacht isn’t just about the initial purchase price. You also have to consider the cost of maintaining it. The upkeep on these yachts can cost up to $10 million a year, and that’s if nothing major goes wrong. It’s a good thing these owners can afford to hire a full-time crew to take care of everything – from cleaning the decks to fixing the engines.

So, who are the lucky individuals that get to call these yachts home? It’s no surprise that the owners of these yachts are extremely wealthy individuals, such as oil tycoons and tech billionaires. But owning a yacht like this isn’t just about showing off your wealth – it’s also a form of escapism. When you’re on board, you can leave all your worries on land and enjoy the peace and serenity of the open water.

1.6 billion dollar yacht

In conclusion, a $715 million yacht is the epitome of luxury. With an impeccable design, endless features, and a hefty maintenance fee, owning one is truly a dream come true for the world’s wealthiest individuals. Who knows, maybe one day we’ll be able to experience it for ourselves – but for now, we’ll just have to settle for daydreaming.

How Much is 1.6 Billion Dollars

Billion vs. Million

First things first, let’s get one thing clear: 1 billion is not the same as 1 million. Not even close. 1 billion is equivalent to 1,000 million dollars. That’s right, three zeros extra. So when we talk about a 1.6 billion dollar yacht, we’re talking about a yacht that costs the same as 1,600 million dollars. Mind-blowing, huh?

What You Could Buy With 1.6 Billion Dollars

So what could you buy with 1.6 billion dollars? For starters, you could buy at least 30 private islands in the Caribbean, each with their own luxurious villas and breathtaking views. Or you could treat yourself to a fleet of over 20 private jets, each with your own personal crew, fully stocked bar, and Jacuzzi. Feeling flashy? How about a solid gold private jet instead? Yep, you could afford that too.

What You Could Do With 1.6 Billion Dollars

If material possessions aren’t your thing, don’t worry, you could still do a lot of good with 1.6 billion dollars. You could fund the construction of hundreds of schools and hospitals in developing countries, providing education and healthcare to millions of people. You could also invest in renewable energy and help combat the ongoing climate crisis. Or you could simply donate the money to charity and make a difference in the lives of countless individuals and families around the world.

In summary, 1.6 billion dollars is a mind-boggling amount of money that could buy you just about anything you could possibly dream of. But in the end, it’s not about how much money you have, it’s about what you do with it. So whether you choose to spend it on shiny toys or use it to make a positive impact on the world, the choice is ultimately yours.

The $1 Billion Dollar Yacht That Only Mr Beast Can Afford

When we hear someone say “1.6 billion dollar yacht,” we imagine a luxurious and massive vessel owned by some billionaire oil magnate or a member of a royal family. However, there is one person who can afford a $1 billion yacht, and he is none other than Mr Beast.

Who Is Mr Beast

Mr Beast, also known as Jimmy Donaldson, is a famous YouTuber who has gained widespread popularity for his comedic videos, stunts, and philanthropy. Mr Beast started his YouTube channel in 2012, but he became increasingly popular in 2018, thanks to his crazy challenges, philanthropic initiatives, and collaborations with other YouTubers.

How Did Mr Beast Become So Rich

Mr Beast has amassed a considerable fortune from his YouTube channel, where he has over 65 million subscribers, making him one of the most successful YouTubers. According to various sources, including Social Blade, Mr Beast’s net worth is estimated to be around $30 million.

Apart from YouTube, Mr Beast has also earned money from sponsorships, merchandise sales, and his subscription platform, YouTube Premium. However, Mr Beast is not one to hoard his wealth and has donated millions of dollars to various charitable causes.

What Would a $1 Billion Yacht Look Like

A $1 billion yacht would be the epitome of luxury and extravagance, something only a select few could even dream of owning. The yacht would be spacious enough to host several guests and crew members, have numerous entertainment facilities such as a cinema, spa, gym, and swimming pool, and be equipped with the latest technology.

Moreover, the yacht would have various specialized interior spaces, such as a grand reception hall, dining room, library, and bar. Every detail of the yacht would scream luxury, from the high-quality fabrics used for the furnishings to its cutting-edge design.

Can Mr Beast Afford a $1 Billion Yacht

Although Mr Beast is incredibly wealthy, a $1 billion yacht would undoubtedly be a significant investment for him. However, given his history of philanthropy and his love for extravagant stunts, it’s not impossible that he might invest in a billion-dollar yacht someday.

Moreover, given Mr Beast’s popularity and fan base, he could potentially earn back the investment through sponsorships and promotions, making it a win-win situation for him.

In conclusion, a $1 billion yacht is something that only a select few can afford. However, with his massive wealth and fame, Mr Beast could potentially be one of the chosen few. While it remains to be seen if he will ever take the plunge and invest in a $1 billion yacht, one thing is for sure – it would be one heck of an adventure to be a part of the crew on that yacht.

Who’s the Mystery Billionaire Behind the World’s Priciest Yacht

When you hear the term “billion-dollar yacht,” the first thing that comes to your mind is, who on earth would spend such a fortune on a leisure vehicle? While the yacht is said to cost a staggering 1.6 billion dollars, information about its owner is shockingly scarce. However, there have been rumors and speculations regarding the real owner of this mind-boggling beauty, which we’ll be discussing in this section.

The Yacht’s Name is ‘History Supreme’

Before diving into the secrets behind the owner of the most expensive yacht in the world, let’s take a quick look at the yacht itself. Known as “History Supreme,” it’s no ordinary boat. Weighing around 100,000 kilograms, it’s crafted from a rare and exotic combination of solid gold, platinum, and various precious jewels. The ostentatiousness is mind-blowing, considering a single anchor alone is said to be worth around $150,000.

The Most Likely Owners – Mystery Solved

Rumor has it that the History Supreme belongs to Malaysian businessman Robert Kuok, but he has yet to confirm the speculation. He was among the richest men in Asia in 2019, with a net worth of $14.7 billion. Then again, there’s also speculation that the yacht might belong to a member or members of the United Arab Emirates Royal Family due to its sophisticated design and opulence. However, no one has claimed ownership publicly.

The Real Reason Why the Owner is Secretive

While it may sound normal for an owner to keep a yacht out of the public eye, staying anonymous in this case is far more important than that. The discrete nature of the owner has little to do with protecting themselves but more with preventing the yacht from becoming a symbol of ‘extravagance’ and the target of global criticism. With that kind of money, owning a yacht that costs billions can be an easy target for curious people who might consider the idea of leveraging the yacht to humiliate wealthy individuals.

Owning a yacht is already a symbol of success and immense wealth. Being able to afford a 1.6 billion dollar yacht like the History Supreme? Only heaven knows the kind of riches that one would possess. The owner’s secrecy adds to the flair and don’t we all love a good mystery? Perhaps one day, the History Supreme’s owner will come out, lay claim to their possession, and allow us to catch a glimpse of the lavish extravagance. Until then, we can only speculate and leave it up to our imaginations.

How Much Does Jeff Bezos’ Yacht Cost

When it comes to yachts, Jeff Bezos doesn’t mess around. His yacht, named the Flying Fox, reportedly cost a whopping 400 million dollars. But that’s chump change compared to the 1.6 billion dollar yacht that’s making headlines.

But Wait, What About the Flying Fox

Let’s talk for a minute about Jeff Bezos’ current yacht, the Flying Fox. This luxurious vessel boasts amenities such as a movie theater, helicopter landing pad, and even a two-story hot tub. At a cost of 400 million dollars, it’s no wonder it’s caught the attention of the public.

The 1.6 Billion Dollar Yacht

Now, let’s get back to the main event. The 1.6 billion dollar yacht is truly a sight to behold. It’s a behemoth of a ship, measuring in at 466 feet long. That’s longer than a football field! It’s set to be the largest yacht in the world once it’s completed.

Who Owns the 1.6 Billion Dollar Yacht

So, who is the lucky owner of this extravagant vessel? Rumor has it that it belongs to a Russian billionaire named Andrey Melnichenko. He’s no stranger to owning some of the most expensive yachts in the world, so it’s no surprise that he was the one to commission this beauty.

What Makes It So Expensive

Aside from its massive size, this yacht is also rumored to be one of the most technologically advanced ships in the world. It reportedly has everything from a laser defense system to a submarine launch system. And then there’s the luxurious amenities, such as multiple swimming pools, a spa, and a helicopter landing pad. All of these features add up to a hefty price tag.

There you have it, folks. While Jeff Bezos’ 400 million dollar yacht may be impressive, it’s nothing compared to the 1.6 billion dollar behemoth that’s taking the world by storm. With its luxurious amenities and advanced technology, it’s a true marvel of engineering. But hey, if you’re a billionaire like Melnichenko, why not go all out on a yacht?

Is There a Yacht Worth a Billion Dollars

When we hear about yachts worth millions of dollars, it’s not uncommon to wonder if any billionaire has ever splurged billions on a yacht. And guess what? The answer is no! While there are some extravagant yachts out there, none of them have ever topped the $1 billion mark.

The Most Expensive Yachts in the World

The title for the most expensive yacht in the world belongs to “History Supreme” worth a whopping $4.8 billion! However, it’s not exactly a standard yacht, as it’s covered in gold and platinum. For those looking for yachts more aligned with the typical sense of a luxury vessel, the “Eclipse” owned by Roman Abramovich is reportedly the most expensive one. Its price tag is around $1.2 billion, which falls slightly short of the magical $1.6 billion figure.

Billionaires Don’t Need Billion-Dollar Yachts

Why don’t billionaires buy a $1 billion yacht? Well, there are several reasons. Firstly, the world’s billionaires don’t spend their money randomly and have smarter investments to make than yachts. Secondly, maintenance and operating costs for these yachts can be quite daunting, and it’s not something any billionaire would want to invest in. Lastly, while luxurious, a yacht priced at $1 billion may be too grand and impractical for regular use.

The Future of Yacht Building

Despite there being no yacht worth a billion dollars, many shipyards are pushing the boundaries of yacht construction to make even larger and more luxurious vessels. With the advancement in technology and materials, we can expect to see some impressive super-yachts in the future. Who knows, maybe one day we might have a yacht worth a billion dollars?

In conclusion, while there isn’t currently a yacht worth a billion dollars, that doesn’t mean that billionaires can’t enjoy luxurious yacht experiences. There are plenty of impressive yachts out there for the taking, and with the world’s richest always looking for the best of the best, it’s only a matter of time before the ultimate luxury yacht comes to fruition.

French businessman, investor, and art collector Bernard Arnault is the chairman and chief executive of the world's largest luxury goods company, LVMH Moët Hennessy – Louis Vuitton. He is currently the third richest person in the world and the richest person in Europe. The French fashion tycoon is one the world's ultimate taste-makers and his ownership of the super yacht Symphony is a proof that he likes the combination of class and beauty which comes with a price. With the billions of wealth he has accumulated over the years, it is not at all surprising that he bought a luxury yacht.

Bernard Arnault is the proud owner of the largest Feadship to be ever made according to the Yacht Habor. The CEO of the French multinational luxury goods conglomerate, LVMH, owns the luxury mega yacht which is worth $150 million. It is not surprising that Bernard Arnault would spend so much for a luxury yacht since he has a stunning net worth of $93.5 billion and currently among the top ten billionaires in the world and recognized as the richest man in France.

Arnault first ventured into the yacht industry back in 2008 when he led the acquisition of the British yacht manufacturer called Princess Yachts. Since then LVMH has been working closely with the world leading brand of custom-built luxury mega-yachts, Feadship. It was in 2015 when Arnault decided to buy Symphony for $150 million. The super yacht has about estimated running costs of $10 to 15 million per year and currently not available for charter.

The Superyacht Symphony comes with eight huge staterooms that can fit about sixteen guests and a comfortable berthing that can accommodate about 27 crew members on board the yacht. It also has a private deck for the owner. It is created to accommodate about thirty six passengers. The exteriors of the yacht were designed by the world class renowned company Tim Heywood Design. The interiors on the other hand were aesthetically designed with the décor of the yacht being done by the one and only Zuretti Interior Design. The Symphony has been constructed by the Feadship at the Royal Van Lent Shipyard as a simple Project 808.

The luxury yacht is currently among the most sought-after private vessels . Bernard Arnault’s luxury vehicle at the sea is far more than par excellence. It is powered by a 2,415 hp Wärtsilä engine which comes with a powerful battery bank and about three generator sets. It also houses the string of amenities of the yacht such as the appointed entertainment areas, the al fresco bar area for parties and events and the state-of-the-art kitchen that is serving stunning decadent French delights. It is also a 101-meter luxury yacht that was built at the Royal Van Lent Shipyard. Symphony has a steel hull that has an aluminum superstructure. The yacht has complied with the amended Passenger Yacht Code (PYC).

The luxury yacht is said to be an eco-friendly yacht which uses a hybrid propulsion technology and powered by a 4x MTU 16V4000M73 engine. Due to the advance hybrid propulsion technology, the yacht can store energy in its battery bank that can work together with its diesel engines. The main engine on the other hand works hand in hand with the generators and modern battery bank that were attached to the yacht. It uses about 30% less than the energy that a normal yacht uses. The maximum speed of the yacht is about 21 knots and the cruising speed is about 10 knots. The Symphony was ranked 50 th out of the top 100 superyacht around the world with a 101.5 meter six deck. The structure of the yacht was made by the De Voogt Naval Architects. The floors and ceilings of the yacht are encased in a light wood panel which was complemented by the w ooden furniture with accents of gold and natural tones .

The Symphony contains luxury features such as the 6 meter glass-bottom swimming pool located on the main deck, an outdoor cinema that was aesthetically placed on the bridge deck and a stunning Jacuzzi on the yacht’s sundeck. The owner’s deck is also equipped with two bathrooms, sauna, forward terrace that has a Jacuzzi as well, a private office space, a spacious lounge and dressing rooms. Since the wife of Arnault, Helene Mercier, is a concert pianist, there is also a piano on board. The owner’s deck also has deck area perfect for lounging with a dining table that can accommodate about 20 people. It also has two elevators for passengers to use and one elevator even features a 15-metre interactive video screen which can play video footages upon the request of the guests.
