Historically, this yacht was the Royal Yacht of the GRIMALDI Family of Monaco, built by and for Princess Grace and Prince Rainier III. SPIRIT L was originally built by CCYD in Venice, Italia, in 1984 as ‘STALCA II’ to the order of HH Prince Rainier III of Monaco and his American actress wife Grace Kelly for sailing with their three children: Stefanie, Albert and Caroline. From their combined names, came the boat name STALCA. Since our acquisition and subsequent complete control of SPIRIT L, we have full reconditioned and painted her 26m (85′) hull to the deep midnight blue.

ACCOMMODATION

SPIRIT L interior layout sleeps up to 8 guests in 4 spacious cabins, 1 Master Suite, 2 Twin Cabins and 1 Bunkbed Cabin. She is also capable of carrying up to 4 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed yacht experience. Timeless styling, beautiful furnishings and sumptuous seating feature throughout to create an elegant and comfortable atmosphere. SPIRIT L's impressive leisure and entertainment facilities make her the ideal charter yacht for socializing and entertaining with family and friends.

Also, we provide many water sport activities such as jet skis, sea bobs, paddleboards and many more for you to explore!

Since our acquisition and subsequent complete control of SPIRIT L, we have full reconditioned and painted her 26mt (85′) hull to the deep midnight blue.";s:9:"yachtPic2";s:80:"https://www.centralyachtagent.com/yachtadmin/yachtlg/yacht7401/7401brochure2.jpg";s:10:"yachtDesc2";s:11:"Main Salon ";s:9:"yachtPic3";s:80:"https://www.centralyachtagent.com/yachtadmin/yachtlg/yacht7401/7401brochure3.jpg";s:10:"yachtDesc3";s:13:"Dinning area ";s:9:"yachtPic4";s:80:"https://www.centralyachtagent.com/yachtadmin/yachtlg/yacht7401/7401brochure4.jpg";s:10:"yachtDesc4";s:3:"Aft";s:9:"yachtPic5";s:80:"https://www.centralyachtagent.com/yachtadmin/yachtlg/yacht7401/7401brochure5.jpg";s:10:"yachtDesc5";s:9:"Sun Deck ";s:9:"yachtPic6";s:80:"https://www.centralyachtagent.com/yachtadmin/yachtlg/yacht7401/7401brochure6.jpg";s:10:"yachtDesc6";s:12:"Double Cabin";s:9:"yachtPic7";s:80:"https://www.centralyachtagent.com/yachtadmin/yachtlg/yacht7401/7401brochure7.jpg";s:10:"yachtDesc7";s:12:"Double Cabin";s:9:"yachtPic8";s:80:"https://www.centralyachtagent.com/yachtadmin/yachtlg/yacht7401/7401brochure8.jpg";s:10:"yachtDesc8";s:21:"En - suite facilities";s:9:"yachtPic9";s:80:"https://www.centralyachtagent.com/yachtadmin/yachtlg/yacht7401/7401brochure9.jpg";s:10:"yachtDesc9";s:10:"Twin cabin";s:10:"yachtPic10";s:81:"https://www.centralyachtagent.com/yachtadmin/yachtlg/yacht7401/7401brochure10.jpg";s:11:"yachtDesc10";s:0:"";s:10:"yachtPic11";s:81:"https://www.centralyachtagent.com/yachtadmin/yachtlg/yacht7401/7401brochure11.jpg";s:11:"yachtDesc11";s:0:"";s:10:"yachtPic12";s:81:"https://www.centralyachtagent.com/yachtadmin/yachtlg/yacht7401/7401brochure12.jpg";s:11:"yachtDesc12";s:0:"";s:10:"yachtPic13";s:81:"https://www.centralyachtagent.com/yachtadmin/yachtlg/yacht7401/7401brochure13.jpg";s:11:"yachtDesc13";s:0:"";s:10:"yachtPic14";s:81:"https://www.centralyachtagent.com/yachtadmin/yachtlg/yacht7401/7401brochure14.jpg";s:11:"yachtDesc14";s:0:"";s:10:"yachtPic15";s:81:"https://www.centralyachtagent.com/yachtadmin/yachtlg/yacht7401/7401brochure15.jpg";s:11:"yachtDesc15";s:0:"";s:10:"yachtPic16";s:81:"https://www.centralyachtagent.com/yachtadmin/yachtlg/yacht7401/7401brochure16.jpg";s:11:"yachtDesc16";s:0:"";s:10:"yachtPic17";s:81:"https://www.centralyachtagent.com/yachtadmin/yachtlg/yacht7401/7401brochure17.jpg";s:11:"yachtDesc17";s:0:"";s:10:"yachtPic18";s:81:"https://www.centralyachtagent.com/yachtadmin/yachtlg/yacht7401/7401brochure18.jpg";s:11:"yachtDesc18";s:0:"";s:10:"yachtPic19";s:81:"https://www.centralyachtagent.com/yachtadmin/yachtlg/yacht7401/7401brochure19.jpg";s:11:"yachtDesc19";s:0:"";s:11:"yachtLayout";s:82:"https://www.centralyachtagent.com/yachtadmin/yachtimg/yacht7401/7401brochure88.jpg";s:18:"yachtFullEbrochure";s:48:"http://www.cyabrochure.com/ebn/2395/pdhaX/7401/3";s:14:"yachtFullRates";s:48:"http://www.cyabrochure.com/ebn/2395/pdhaX/7401/4";s:14:"yachtOtherToys";s:204:"1 Tender Brig F330HT with engine Yamaha 30 HP <br /> 2 Seabobs F5S Basic Yellow CM <br /> 1 Jobe Binar Towable 2Ρ<br /> 1 Jet ski sea-doo spark 900HO ACE 2UP<br /> 2 SUP<br /> 1 inflatable banana";s:19:"yachtOtherEntertain";s:0:"";s:16:"yachtCommunicate";s:0:"";s:15:"yachtSummerArea";s:6:"Greece";s:15:"yachtWinterArea";s:6:"Greece";s:12:"yachtShowers";s:1:"3";s:15:"yachtWashBasins";s:1:"3";s:10:"yachtHeads";s:1:"3";s:18:"yachtElectricHeads";s:1:"3";s:14:"yachtTpInHeads";s:0:"";s:15:"yachtSampleMenu";s:8301:"<p style="text-align: center;"><em><u>&hellip;Spirit L Week menu&hellip;</u></em></p> <p><em><u>Breakfast Choices</u></em><em><u>:</u></em></p> <ul> <li>Eggs selection<strong><em>: </em></strong><em>Omelet with cheese and ham, fried eggs, or scrambled eggs. </em>(Upon request)</li> <li><em>Croissants</em></li> <li><em>Bruschetta with avocado and poached egg</em></li> <li><em>Fresh fruit platter</em></li> <li><em>Cheese &amp; cold cuts platter</em></li> <li><em>Marmalades, Cream cheese, butter, honey, peanut butter.</em></li> <li><em>Cereals, oats, yogurt.</em></li> <li><em>Fresh Juice or Smoothies, Green Tea, English breakfast tea.</em></li> </ul> <p><strong><em>&nbsp;</em>Chef&rsquo;s note:</strong></p> <p>Every day according to our guest&rsquo;s schedule, will discuss our daily menu so I can accommodate your taste and preferences. Most expenses are deducted from an Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA), a fund that is added on top of the charter price. The expenses, such as provisioning, fuel, marina fees, are deducted from the APA. Spirit L

Historically, S/Y Spirit L was the Royal Yacht of the Grimaldi family of Monaco, built exclusively for Princess Grace and Prince Rainier III. To the order of HH Prince Rainier III and his wife, American actress Grace Kelly, the yacht was built by CCYD in 1984 in Venice, Italy. Initially, the yacht was named “STALCA II”, after the initials of their children (Stefanie, Albert, Caroline).

Since its acquisition by L World Yachting in 2021, it has been fully refitted, reconditioned and her 26 mt hull has been painted to the deep midnight blue. L World Yachting is a high-end yachting firm based in Athens Greece that provides top notch services from yacht chartering and brokerage, to management and construction. Our goal is to offer you the ultimate luxury yachting experience and most memorable vacations, employing a 360-degrees services approach to fulfill all your yachting needs.

Since 2017, the company has been established as one of the leaders in yachting in the Greek market for its experience, professionalism and deep knowledge of the market. We are happy to share with you our relentless passion for the sea and help you discover the Greek island treasures.

The twin cabins are forward of amidships to port and starboard respectively. Both have 2 single beds, storage, and an en-suite bathroom with a sink, toilet and shower. The bunk bed cabin is forward of the twin cabins and has a bunk bed and storage. It shares bathroom facilities with one of the other en-suite cabins.

The Exterior

Above deck, the aft section provides an area for guests to dine alfresco around a large table while shaded by a canvas bimini. There is plenty of space on the foredeck for sunbathing, exercise and observation of local wildlife around the anchorage.

In the salon and dining area, a C-shaped sofa and coffee table are fitted to the port side, while the forward starboard corner has a curving sofa around a circular table. The large windows on all sides of the room let the sunshine pour through, and for shade or privacy in the evenings the curtains can be drawn. The forward amidships section places a twin cabin to port and starboard, then the bunk bed cabin the most forward of the guest accommodation.

Rebuilding Paradise: The Bitter End Yacht Club’s Inspiring Comeback

By: Shannon Sinnard Destinations

Nestled at the northeastern tip of Virgin Gorda in the British Virgin Islands, the Bitter End Yacht Club has long been a premier maritime destination for sailors. For years, this iconic resort has drawn seafarers from around the globe, offering a serene escape amidst the sparkling waters of the Caribbean.

While the term “bitter end” often refers to the final part of a rope or chain, the phrase can also signify reaching the farthest point or the end destination of a long or difficult journey. The founders of the Bitter End Yacht Club chose this name to reflect both its geographical location and the spirit of adventure and perseverance inherent to sailors. For those who navigate to this end-of-the-line point, the BEYC stands as a haven where their journey culminates in beauty and tranquility. And, for many, it has long stood as a cherished traditional stop when exploring the waters of the BVI.

A Legendary Past, a Devastating Blow

In more recent years, the Bitter End’s name has embodied not only a physical destination but also a symbolic one. The iconic BEYC experienced a devastating blow in September 2017 when Hurricane Irma, one of the most powerful Atlantic hurricanes in history, wreaked havoc on the Caribbean, leaving the Bitter End Yacht Club in ruins. The devastation was profound, with buildings flattened, boats destroyed, and the once-thriving resort reduced to rubble.

spirit l yacht

While many Bitter End enthusiasts were devastated to hear of the destruction Hurricane Irma left in her wake, the iconic Bitter End Yacht Club kept its loyal fans updated via its website , detailing both the damage and community efforts to rebuild this beloved BVI institution.

Rising from the Ashes

Having now been rebuilt and risen from the devastation of Hurricane Irma, the Bitter End’s name resonates even more with the idea of enduring and overcoming challenges – much like the sailors who venture to the farthest reaches to get there.

After the storm, the Bitter End Yacht Club faced a long and arduous journey to recovery. But the spirit of resilience and determination among its community never wavered. Fast forward to today, and the Bitter End Yacht Club has not only been rebuilt but has been reimagined, standing as a testament to the power of recovery and the adventurous spirit that made it famous.

A New Era for the Bitter End Yacht Club

The reopening of the Bitter End Yacht Club marks a new chapter in its storied history. The rebuilt resort seamlessly blends the charm and character of its past with modern amenities and environmentally friendly practices. Here’s a glimpse of what visitors can now expect:

State-of-the-Art Marina

The heart of the Bitter End experience, the marina, has been meticulously restored and upgraded, offering deep-water slips that can accommodate yachts up to 200 feet, along with enhanced dockside services. Sailors can enjoy top-notch amenities including electrical hook-ups, fuel, ice, showers, rubbish disposal, and laundry facilities. Additionally, guests have access to the resort’s swimming pool. The BEYC also boasts one of the best deep-water anchorages in the Caribbean, providing many of the same amenities as the docking facilities.

Culinary Delights

Dining at the Bitter End is an experience in itself. The resort’s restaurants feature locally sourced ingredients, celebrating Caribbean flavors with a gourmet twist. Whether it’s a casual beachside meal or an elegant dinner under the stars, the culinary offerings are sure to delight every palate.

spirit l yacht

Adventure and Exploration

For those with a thirst for adventure, the resort offers a wide range of water sports, including sailing, kiteboarding, windsurfing, and snorkeling. Guests can explore the vibrant coral reefs, embark on a deep-sea fishing expedition, or simply enjoy a leisurely paddle around the bay.

spirit l yacht

Environmental Stewardship

The Bitter End Yacht Club has embraced sustainability as a core principle in its rebuilding efforts. The resort utilizes renewable energy sources, practices water conservation, and is committed to preserving the natural beauty of the BVI. Initiatives such as coral reef restoration and marine conservation programs are integral to its operations, ensuring that the Bitter End remains a pristine paradise for future generations.

A Bright Future

From its storied past to its recent resurgence, the Bitter End Yacht Club is more than just a return to business; it’s a celebration of resilience, community, and the indomitable spirit of the BVI. As it welcomes back old friends and new, the Bitter End promises to once again be the ultimate retreat for those who seek the thrill of the open sea and the tranquility of an island paradise in one of the most breathtaking locations on earth.

VIEW THE 360 DEGREE VIRTUAL TOURThe Irwin 54 is one of the most popular sailing yachts over 50' ever built. Find out why

For over 20 Years, the current owner had an open check book tocontinually upgrade and lovingly care for this amazing yacht

Over 250 Irwin 52’s and 54’s were built. First introduced in 1976, The Irwin 52 quickly became the  most  popular cruising center cockpit sailboat on the market.  In 1988, the boat evolved into the Irwin 54 with a major redesign of the hull, deck and interior. “Patience“ is one of the last Irwin 54’s and possibly the best ever built.

The spectacular result is not only a "go anywhere" yacht, but also one of absolute luxury, total privacy and short-handed style.

The current owner decided to remove the Hood Stoway mast and upgrade the mast and rigging to a custom Seldon mast with a hydraulic furling system around 2010. He has an impressive above deck rig that rivals vessels of a much larger size and higher price range. A lot of thought by the experienced owner went into making “Patience” easy to sail by a couple and enhance the performance.

NORFOLK STAR at sail

The must-see sailing yachts at the Monaco Yacht Show 2024

As the excitement for the Monaco Yacht Show 2024 builds, BOAT takes a look at the top sailing yachts that will be making an appearance this year – from the latest launches to the finest yachts currently for sale .

Norfolk Star

Builder: Perini Navi Year: 1996 (2020) Length: 37m

Pedigree sailing yacht Norfolk Star was designed and built by the Italian shipyard in 1996 and had a "multi-million euro refit" in 2022, according to her broker. The revamp included a new main engine room, two new generators, PLC system, Inmarsat VSAT dome, 505 Williams tender, Doyle sails and Reckmann rigging. With accommodation for six guests, the yacht boasts a family-friendly layout comprising a full-beam master cabin on the lower deck along with two twin cabins – with the option of an additional pullman berth.

On deck, guests can benefit from the comfort the split cockpit area affords, where relaxed seating around a circular coffee table awaits as well as a dining area for eight.  The cherry wood interior also welcomes a bright upper saloon with panoramic views and a more formal main saloon with two sofas and dining area featuring an extendable walnut table.

Norfolk Star is listed for sale and will be exhibited by Burgess and Northrop & Johnson.

Builder: Wally Year: 2024 Length: 36.2m

Having hit the water in June this year, the first wallywind110, Galma , will make her global debut at this year's Monaco Yacht Show and is recognisable by her "luminous light metallic blue" carbon hull paint job "that changes slightly as the light hits her". The sailing yacht's naval architecture comes from German studio judel/vrolijk & co , while interior and exterior lines are designed by Wally in collaboration with Santa Maria Magnolfi . The design demonstrates the comfort of a cruising yacht while maintaining the spirit and performance of a racing boat, and is characterised by her 6.9-metre telescopic keel.

Highlights include an 80-square-metre full-beam cockpit with seating and dining for up to 15 people, as well as an open-plan raised saloon. The yacht also benefits from natural light thanks to a skylight that runs the full length of the coachroof. Accommodation on the wallywind100 model can be a three-cabin layout with a full-beam master suite, or a four-cabin standard layout.

Galma will be exhibited by Wally .

Builder: Vitters Year: 2017 Length: 32.6m

Delivered in 2017 to experienced sailing yacht owners, Ribelle has recently joined the market following a refit, which included a repaint of the hull, mast and boom, and a brand new suit of cruising sails. The sailing yacht is built of carbon fibre by the Dutch yard to a design by Malcolm McKeon and can be sailing with a small crew in cruising mode or, thanks to a self-tacking jib, can be transformed into a true racer.

She is a regatta regular and can often be spotted at some of the world's most prestigious events – including the Maxi Rolex Cup, Giorgio Armani Superyacht Regatta, Les Voiles de St Tropez and Palma Superyacht Cup. Her Rémi Tessier interior accommodates six guests in three cabins comprising a master suite, VIP suite and a twin cabin.

Ribelle is listed for sale and will be exhibited by Burgess.

Dreamcatcher

Builder: Nautor Swan Year: 2024 Length: 28.8m

With her diesel-electric propulsion, the Swan 88 is the Finnish shipyard's first hybrid sailing yacht and is based on an evolution of its previous yachts. Sitting at the entry point to the world of maxi yachting, the yacht was delivered earlier this year and will make her worldwide debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival .

Dreamcatcher has been described as a "no-compromise cruiser with a racer soul" with a draught of four metres, with options for a shallow-draught, telescopic and performance keel. The yacht is also designed for comfort with a maximum heeling angle of 20 degrees and sports "feminine exterior lines" penned by veteran Swan designer German Frers . Her warm, classic interiors have been styled by Misa Poggi with accommodation for 10 guests.

Dreamcatcher will be exhibited by Nautor Swan .

Builder: Baltic Yachts Year: 2018 Length: 26m

Delivered by the Finnish shipyard in 2018, Mini Y is a Baltic 85 model designed by UK naval architect Dixon Yacht Design . Her silver hull and superstructure were built of carbon-fibre composite and the owner opted for a telescopic lifting keel that can reduce the draft from 4.3 metres to 2.95 metres when required. Mark Whiteley Design handled the  yacht's interior décor , with accommodation for up to four guests split between an owner’s cabin and a guest cabin.

On deck, the cockpit has a fold-out table for guests to enjoy, while the helmsman has the choice of two wheels. The guest cockpit can be completely covered for protection while racing, the navigation instruments still visible on the aft face. Mini Y joined the market earlier this year.

Mini Y is listed for sale and will be exhibited by Baltic Yachts and Edmiston.

Builder: Yonca Year: 2019 (2023) Length: 26.8m

Tuzla-based shipyard Yonca officially entered the leisure marine market with the launch of Mishi Yachts earlier this year. The new brand made its debut with two sailing models, measuring 26.8 metres and 31 metres – the first of which is the Mishi 88, which will be on exhibit at the Monaco Yacht Show 2024. Osman Tanju Kalaycıoğlu , Özgür Terzioğlu and Taka Yacht are responsible for the naval architectecture and exterior design, while interiors are the work of Aylin Örs .

The sloop's defining features include a spacious aft deck with a dining space which can comfortably seat ten guests. Offering shelter from the elements, the large cockpit features a carbon composite hard-top aft, while the swim platform has enough room in its back for a 3.5-meter inflatable tender. Accommodation is for six guests across a master cabin and two guest cabins, with further space for the captain and crew.

Mishi 88 will be exhibited by Mishi Yachts.

Builder: Yyachts Year: 2024 Length: 23.9m

German yachtbuilder YYachts is bringing its Y8 model to the Monaco Yacht Show. Javier Jaudenes of Surge-Projects worked alongside the in-house design team on naval architecture to create the model's new silhouette with a Scandi-inspired interior by Danish designer David Thulstrup. YYachts offers four pre-designed interior styles where owners can tailor the saloon area to their tastes.

A particular highlight is the owner's suite, which includes a separate saloon and can be located either in the bow or in the stern with direct access to the cockpit. In terms of technical details, the Y8 features a standard carbon mast, hydraulic main sheet system and all winches close to the helm stations. These features, along with the self-tacking jib and a lack of a backstay, enhance the yacht's performance and ease of handling.

Y8 will be exhibited by Yyachts.

REALISING THE DREAM

Sleek, sophisticated, sailing at its best. The Spirit 46 offers adrenaline, exhilaration, and a love of being on the water.

At just over 14m long with a sleek underwater profile, the Spirit 46 is the ideal yacht for fast-paced racing or coastal day-cruising. The most popular Spirit design to date, the Spirit 46 is a development of several years’ sailing and racing. With a displacement of only 4.5tonnes, she is lightweight and easy to handle. The Spirit 46 is a favoured choice for owners looking for a competitive racing yacht, a simply laid-out coastal cruiser, or elements of both.

There is currently an active community of Spirit 46 racing yachts in the UK and in the Mediterranean, but she can be sailed anywhere in the world. The dimensions and displacement of the Spirit 46 allow her to be easily and economically transported by road or by sea, which opens up cruising or regatta possibilities.
