Ein weiß-grünes Absperrband verwehrt den Zugang zur Luxusjacht „La Luna“, die im Hafen von Porto Cristo im Osten Mallorcas schaukelt. Die spanische Kripo hat das Schiff, das einem deutschen Multimillionär gehört, an die Kette gelegt. Ermittler suchen seit Tagen an Bord Beweise für den schweren Verdacht, dass dieses hochmotorisierte Nobelschiff vor der Küste fahrlässig und mit hoher Geschwindigkeit ein kleines Fischerboot rammte. Dabei wurde ein 20-jähriger Mallorquiner getötet.

Das Unglück ereignete sich bereits am vergangenen Freitagabend (23.08.) gegen zehn Uhr, als die Sonne schon untergegangen war. Guillem Comamala war mit zwei weiteren Familienmitgliedern in einem kleinen, weißen Holzboot in einer Bucht namens Cala Bona beim Angeln, als eine große, dunkle Jacht heran rauschte. Das tonnenschwere Motorschiff erwischte die kleine Nussschale am Heck, dort wo Guillem neben dem Außenbordmotor und Steuerruder saß. Der 20-Jährige war sofort tot, sein jüngerer Bruder und sein Onkel überlebten leicht verletzt.

Die Motorjacht hielt nach dem Crash nicht an, sondern setzte ihren Weg fort. Die Hilfe kam dann von einem weiteren Fischer namens Andreu Pascual, der mit seinem Boot in der Nähe war. „Ich hörte plötzlich Schreie in der Dunkelheit und bin dorthin gefahren.“ Pascual brachte die Verletzten sowie das Todesopfer an Land. Dank der Aussagen der Überlebenden entdeckt die Polizei am nächsten Morgen im nahen Hafen Porto Cristo die schwarze Luxusjacht „La Luna“, auf welche die Beschreibung der Zeugen passt.

Wie die Inselmedien unter Berufung auf die Polizei berichten, ergaben die weiteren Ermittlungen, dass dieses rund 20 Meter lange Motorschiff tatsächlich am fraglichen Abend in der Nähe des Unglücksorts unterwegs war. Doch bei der Befragung des Bootsführers, so heißt es weiter, habe dieser erklärt, dass er das nur 3,5 Meter lange Holzschiff weder gesehen noch einen Zusammenstoß bemerkt habe. Die Kollision ereignete sich in der Dunkelheit, rund zwei Kilometer von der Küste entfernt. Handelt es sich also um einen tragischen Unfall?

Übler Verdacht: Fahrer könnte betrunken gewesen sein

Die spanische Kripo scheint derzeit eine andere Hypothese zu verfolgen. Denn andere Bootsführer sagten aus, dass die unter deutscher Flagge fahrende Edeljacht „La Luna“ in den Tagen vor dem Unglück mehrfach durch Rücksichtslosigkeit gegenüber anderen Booten, durch überhöhte Geschwindigkeit und durch gefährliche Manöver vor der Küste aufgefallen sei. Deswegen ermittelt die Polizei nach dem Unglück nun wegen des Verdachts der fahrlässigen Tötung, der Fahrerflucht und der unterlassenen Hilfeleistung.

Zudem wird berichtet, dass der etwa 35 Jahre alte Sohn des deutschen Bootseigners am Tag des Unglücks am Steuer der „Luna“ gesessen haben soll. Er habe an diesem Tag mit mehreren anderen Männern und Frauen eine wilde Party auf der Luxusjacht gefeiert. Es handelt sich um ein Schiff des Typs Riva 66 Ribelle, die neu rund vier Millionen Euro kostet. Fast 21 Meter lang, fünf Meter breit, mit drei bequemen Schlafkajüten und mit zwei gigantischen 1550-PS-Motoren, die das Schiff auf eine beachtliche Höchstgeschwindigkeit von 68 Kilometern pro Stunde bringen können.

Am Tag der Tragödie soll auf der „Luna“ viel Alkohol geflossen sein. Ein anderer Jachtbesitzer, der das Schiff in der nicht weit vom Unglücksort entfernten Bucht Cala Agulla beobachtete, sagte über die Situation an Bord: „Ich glaube, die waren alle betrunken.“ Dieser Augenzeuge berichtete, dass das motorisierte Beiboot der „Luna“ mit Vollgas durch die Bucht gerast sei und bei haarsträubenden Zickzack-Manövern beinahe ein anderes kleines Schlauchboot mit zwei Jugendlichen gerammt habe.

Polizei auf Mallorca ermittelt fieberhaft

Weitere Einzelheiten wurden von der Polizei zunächst nicht mitgeteilt, um die Ermittlungen nicht zu gefährden. Demnächst wird ein Untersuchungsrichter entscheiden müssen, wie das Unglück zu bewerten ist und ob tatsächlich Anklage gegen den deutschen Bootseigner oder seinen Sohn erhoben wird. Mallorcas Regierung forderte unterdessen eine rückhaltlose Aufklärung. Inselpräsidentin Marga Prohens sagte: „Wir wollen, dass die eingeleitete Untersuchung der Sache auf den Grund geht, um zu klären, was wirklich passiert ist.“

Zudem kündigte Prohens schärfere Kontrollen in den Häfen und vor der Küste an. Vor Mallorca kommt es immer wieder durch rücksichtslose Motorboot- und Jetski-Fahrer zu gefährlichen Begegnungen. Vor einem Jahr war eine spanische Urlauberin am Strand von Alcúdia im Norden Mallorcas beim Schwimmen von einem Motorboot überfahren worden. Die Frau wurde schwer verletzt: Die Schiffsschraube trennte ein Bein und einen Finger ab – der Bootsführer, der mit Vollgas am Strand entlang raste, flüchtete und konnte bis heute nicht ermittelt werden.
