How to Buy a Yacht in GTA Online

To buy a yacht in GTA Online, you need to open your phone, head to the internet, then to vehicles and transportation. Click the “Galaxy Super Yacht” banner, pick your yacht, and set your options. Then click “Buy Now,” and you will immediately receive a notification and a new contact. Once you get the notification, head back out to the free roam lobby to get another notification about your chopper (if your yacht comes with one).

What Can You Do With Your Yacht?

Besides having a helicopter, watercraft, and a bedroom, there are other things you can do with your yacht. For example, you can move the yacht around the coastline, though you can’t actually drive the yacht itself sadly. concert updates from rockstar for gta online there’s no shortage of new content and interesting things to do join me then as we look at the luxury yachts in gta 5 online before we dive in if you’re new to the channel we do how-to guides news and giveaways so consider subscribing and ring the bell to stop today so first things first why on earth would you want a yacht well there’s a few core reasons the luxury heli so depending on your budget your new yacht might come with a helicopter which can be called for a small cost they have a very specific spawn point so they’re not quite as convenient as a sparrow or the oppressor but they’re still very nice some watercraft so that’s a few jet skis and a lovely power boat all of which are stationed off the back of the yacht an additional spawn point so unsurprisingly the yachts have a bedroom so you can spawn in and this can be handy if you have businesses near the southwestern coast or you want quicker access to the los santos airport anti-griefer measures so the yacht comes with a neat defense system that gives you a safe haven it has a couple of caveats but it’s a great way to deal with vehicle-based idiots access to exclusive missions the yacht gives you access to facility specific missions they’re designed for noobs and can be done completely solo and of course it’s a hell of a flex i mean it’s a nice facility to have and one of the most expensive things you can buy in the game so it is a cracking way to show off right we have three different options to choose from with the yachts starting with the orion at 6 million which is a 210 footer and it comes with a single helipad a small two-person canopy runabout and a jet ski the pisces at seven million dollars also a 210 footer but this one comes with two helipads a swift deluxe helicopter the big car speeder which is arguably the best boat in the game a dinghy and two jet skis and a hot tub and finally the aquarius at eight million even now this is the same size and birth as the other yachts 210 feet and has two helipads a hot tub and a dinghy the same as the pisces but comes with the super volito carbon and the toro as well as four jet skis so i’ve gone for the aquarius here but only because it was on super special if i was paying full price the pisces at seven million dollars is a better buy in my opinion the speedboat and their helicopter that come with the pisces are much better and really how often are you using four jet skis at the same damn time next up is the trim chrome is included but you can step it up with gold fittings for an additional seven hundred and fifty 000 lighting and color scheme next now again there is a free option but you can pick from the eight available which will set you back anywhere up to 600 grand sticking with the aesthetics the paint job is next starting with the white paint job and grey trim included and with 12 options ranging in price up to 650 000 and the final option is your flag and yacht name both of which are included in the original price so your minimum out of pocket on this one is six million which gets you the base model yet and nothing else if you have around 8 million to spend though the pisces with a few aesthetic upgrades would be the go right once you’ve decided on your model find somewhere safe open your phone and head to the internet then to vehicles and transport docts and click the galaxy super yacht banner pick your yacht and set your options click buy now and you will immediately receive a notification and a new contact close out of the internet by hitting the x up the top right and you’ll see a new notification with the yacht icon top left as well as a new message from the captain of your new vessel after that you can head back out to the free roam lobby and you’ll get yet another notification this time about your chopper if your yacht comes with one and i’ll cover how to call that in in a bit right so once you’re ready head over to your new yacht and take a look around and after you’ve had a bit of an explore head to the helmets where the captain hangs out and into the yellow marker to start yacht missions there are six missions in total and depending on your skill with a chopper a boat and a firearm they’ll take you between eight and twenty minutes each to complete and typically pay between twenty and thirty thousand dollars each which means an absolute minimum of 200 missions or 27 hours to break even if you go for the absolute cheapest option and get the maximum payout every time honestly though it’ll be more like 300 missions and 75 hours of grinding at maximum difficulty to get your money back so great flex rubbish investment you do get this sweet captain’s outfit though which is nice oh and there’s a few additional things you can do with the yacht which can come in handy too firstly if you’ve gone for the pisces or aquarius you can call in your helicopter and to do this open your phone and go to contacts toggle down to the captain and give him a call once he picks up select request helicopter which will set you back a thousand dollars now this is a little old school so the chopper will spawn in in one of a few dozen places around the map which was great back in the day but it is pretty inconvenient if you’re used to a sparrow or a mark 2 oppressor but anyway once it’s spawned in you’ll see a new chopper icon on the map head on over and you’re good to go while we’re on the captain’s phone you may have also noticed a few other options you can use this same menu to call in your premium boat which will again spawn somewhere up the coast oh and you can also request a personal vehicle or your next job too should you feel so inclined the next thing you can do is move the yacht around the coastline now again this is a little old school so you can’t actually drive the damn thing sadly it’s not the kasaka but you can have the yacht quick travel to different locations in the lobby or be it at a particularly ouchy cost of 25 grand a throw to do this head to the helm on your yacht and stand next to the captain to trigger a button prompt in the top left of the screen click the button noted and bring up the location menu then you can cycle through the locations until you’ve found the one you’re after your defenses and management is next now to access these you can be anywhere on the yacht or anywhere outside in the free roam map head to the interaction menu that’s m on your keyboard the double squares on your xbox or swipe for your playstation scroll down to services and galaxy super yacht from there there’s a few things you can do to skipping the defenses for a moment we can set up who has access to the boats jet skis and the chopper if you have one we can also change who can access the yacht itself and we can set the type of clothing that people wear in the hot tub if yacht has one finally let’s scroll back up to defenses when these are on and don’t forget to set your exclusions but when these are on any player in the free roam lobby in a vehicle will be targeted by the defense systems oh and this also takes care of guided missiles from the casa too but there’s a rub it’s only players in vehicles if someone swims to yacht they won’t be targeted and will be able to board the vessel so it’s great for mark to inject griefers but not so good for people who are just running around being a pain in the backside oh and one more thing with the defenses when they’re on no one can draw a weapon no one it’s great because you can’t have a griefer come in and For any of the below boats you are interested in purchasing, you will need to access the Dock Tease website on your phone in Grand Theft Auto Online.

Galaxy Super Yachts

The yachts available in GTA Online are a bit different from the other boats. They are the most expensive living space you can buy in the game and are among the most highly-priced items of all items in GTA Online. There are three models you can choose from:

• The Aquarius – $8,000,000
• The Pisces – $7,000,000
• The Orion – $6,000,000

All of those prices are just the starting point too. If you want to add more to your yacht, you can be looking at up to $10,000,000 for your purchase.

Longfin – $2,125,000

The Longfin is a speedboat that has a bit of a unique situation. If you want to purchase it off the Dock Tease market, you can buy it right away for $2,125,000. However, if you complete The Cayo Perico Heist Finale as the Heist Leader with it as your approach vehicle, you will unlock the trade price of $1,593,750, so you get a bit of a discount.

After the yachts and Longfins, the most expensive boats go into standard pricing models without any discount opportunities.

Despite its hefty price, the V-65 Molotok isn't all that different from other, cheaper jets in the game. While it is durable and very good at defense, it lacks the speed and maneuverability needed for intense combat.

Buckingham Swift Deluxe - $5,150,000

Modeled after the real-life AgustaWestland AW109, Bell 222, the Buckingham Swift Deluxe is a luxury gold-plated helicopter that cannot be sold or modified in the game. The aircraft can be purchased from Elitas Travel, and, fittingly, it does not come with a discount.

More for show than functionality, the Buckingham Swift Deluxe is akin to the basic Swift aircraft in the game. While it has greater agility and higher take-off speeds, the frame is slightly weaker and can incur more damage. As such, it's really only for the bored players who have tons of cash to burn and want to try something new.

Mammoth Tula - $5,173,700

The vehicle is ideal for racing and fighting at once, and can be purchased at Warstock Cache & Carry or at a discount by completing the related Special Work Vehicle Mission.

Upgrades to the basic Ruiner model include an overhauled interior, increased acceleration, rear-wheel drive, and a 5-speed gearbox. But strictly looking at ROI , a yacht probably isn‘t worth the huge investment. The specialized missions are cool, but won‘t come close to making back your millions.

There are a variety of different scuba suits available at Ponsonby's in Grand Theft Auto Online, 22 to be exact. Each suit variation comes in a different color and consists of a matching jacket equipped with a rear oxygen tank and a mask.

Of all the scuba suits, the most expensive is the tiger scuba suit, which you can buy for $163,000 . This price doesn't seem too bad in comparison to the cheapest one, which is $155,000 for just a basic scuba suit. That said, it seems worth it to spend the extra $8k for the cool tiger pattern.

Deadline Suits - $200,000

In 2016, Rockstar released the Bikers update within new adversary mode challenges. With this update also came the Deadline Biker Deathmatch series. Deadline consists of 4 players riding Nagasaki Shotaro bikes, bypassing each other, leaving a light trail that causes a player to explode once they collide with said trail.

Light Blue Space Cyclops Suit - $329,980

The Space Cyclops suits were another addition added with the Arena War update. There's not too much to say regarding this suit, as they are actually quite similar to the space horror suits; however, the Cyclops has a mask with one giant eye on it rather than a skeletal mask. The suit features a white full-piece astronaut suit with gloves, white boots, and the classic glass bubble-dome helmet. It may not be the most extravagant suit you can buy unless you're planning to wear it often, but it's still a cool option to wear while you're exploring Los Santos.

Green Martian Bodysuit - $358,000

A superyacht captain shares 3 things people who want to charter a luxury vessel should know

• Vacationing on a superyacht may sound like it's all Champagne and sunbathing.
• But before boarding a luxury vessel, superyacht captain Kelly Gordon advises keeping certain things in mind.
• Yachting is a summer pastime with risks and nuances for clients and crew.

Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez soaking up the sun. Travis Barker and Kourtney Kardashian's wedding . Beyoncé's carefree jump into the ocean.

One of these images is likely what comes to mind when you hear the word "superyacht," a phrase generally used to describe a yacht over 80 feet in length.

While ultra-luxurious vessels are associated with all things carefree, tragic events such as the sinking of the Bayesian superyacht off the coast of Sicily on Monday is a reminder that yachting is a pastime with unique risks and nuances. It's unclear what the protocols were on the Bayesian.

For those keen on the idea of chartering a superyacht, captain Kelly Gordon, 42, told Business Insider there are a number of important factors to consider before hopping on board.

Gordon fell in love with yachting after she stepped aboard a yacht for the first time in her mid-20s.

Hellbent on reaching captain level, Gordon quickly worked her way up the chain of command. She's spent most of her time sailing the Bahamas and the Caribbean and is now based in Florida, where she works as a captain on a 108-foot-long privately owned vessel.

Gordon, who has over 12,600 followers on Instagram , shares three factors to keep in mind before boarding a chartered superyacht.

Think of the process of chartering a superyacht as buying a house

One of the most important things to do when chartering a superyacht is to work with a charter broker, Gordon says.

"The charter manager's job is to No. 1: find you a safe boat," Gordon said, adding that in her experience, "Not all programs put safety as high up on the list as it should be."

She also likes to equate charter brokers to Realtors in that they take on the role of finding you the best option for your taste.

"You find one that you gel with really well and has a good reputation, and then you discuss with them what your budget is, where you want to go, what your activity levels are, what your personalities are like," Gordon said.

Pairing clients with a crew that aligns with their characteristics is a huge part of a charter broker's job, Gordon said.

"If you think about it, you're living with that crew for 24/7, around the clock," she said. "You're not going put someone that just wants to sit and read books all day with a crew that's extremely active."

Find a crew that is competent and prioritizes safety

Charter brokers also help match clients with a competent crew that prioritizes safety.

"I don't know that many people realize just how much their life is in our hands when we cast those lines and we go to sea," Gordon said.

Part of that is having a safety briefing, which Gordon carries out every time she welcomes clients onto a chartered vessel before leaving a dock.

A thorough safety briefing includes informing clients about the location of safety equipment and lifejackets and the procedures for events such as a fire, a person falling overboard, or the boat sinking.

"You should have a safety briefing, and if you don't get one, you should ask for one," Gordon said.

The process, she added, can be different on privately owned yachts, where passengers may be familiar with the vessel.

The Bayesian is a private yacht owned by tech tycoon Mike Lynch; it's not yet known what kind of safety protocols staff and guests were trained on.

Make sure there's a member of the crew on watch 24/7

"A lot of charter guests think when they go to sleep, the crew goes to sleep," Gordon said.

But that shouldn't be the case, she added. "You want to be on a boat knowing that someone's up, because if the weather changes or the anchor starts to drag, you need somebody that's up and ready to go and get everybody else to handle it."

Among the biggest weather risks are tornados, which can be extremely difficult to predict and prepare for whether you're on land or at sea.

"I'm from the Midwest, where tornados pop up," Gordon said. "It's hard to see a tornado coming, and if you do see it coming, the tornado goes where it wants to go."

Most often, that leaves people near the weather event with just minutes to ready themselves, which is even trickier "in the middle of the night."

While rapid changes in weather are tough to contend with, Gordon recommends researching the areas you are sailing in beforehand, like you would when visiting a new country.

"It's no different than if you're going on vacation on land," she said. "You want to know where you're going. Don't put that just all on the crew."

While the research doesn't have to be as extensive as the crew should be doing, it's important to still be "responsible for your own self as well as your family and your guests."

On Luxurious Ibiza, Essential Workers Are Forced to Live in Tent Cities

The Spanish island fills beachfront hotels and glittering dance clubs with wealthy tourists. But its teachers, firefighters and police officers can’t find a place to live.

At 1,900 euros a month, the rent was not cheap. But Alicia Bocuñano still felt fortunate to find an apartment on Ibiza at that price. As a taxi driver pulling 16-hour days, Ms. Bocuñano, a single mother who grew up on this Spanish island, figured that a surplus from the busy summer months might be enough to make the rent.

But her would-be landlord wanted six months of rent plus a security deposit up front — close to €14,000, or about $15,300, in one shot. Though not quite legal in Spain’s tightly regulated rental sector, such demands are common on Ibiza, where wealthy tourists fill beachfront hotels and glittering dance clubs while the people who work in those places — not to mention the island’s teachers, firefighters and other essential workers — can’t find a place to live.

In lieu of a new apartment, Ms. Bocuñano, 38, spent a frightening two weeks sleeping in her car, then three months in a tent with her 10-year-old son, Raúl, by her side, before buying a used caravan in June. For a couple of months, she stationed the Caravelair-brand trailer in Can Rova, an ad hoc village of tents, shacks and campers on the outskirts of Ibiza Town, the island’s capital, just behind a dealership selling expensive powerboats. “When we first came here it was cold,” she said. “Like, very cold.”

Tent cities began popping up here in 2023, but they have mushroomed in size and number this year. Can Rova, the largest of three major camps in and around the capital, was home to some 280 people this summer. On a recent July night, six people and a dog were bedding down on the floor in Ms. Bocuñano’s caravan.

Many Can Rova residents said that, with nowhere else to go, they hoped to stay indefinitely. But on July 31, the police made good on a court order to clear the camp, which had been erected on private land. (The owner is currently embroiled in an array of zoning and legal disputes.) Many said they planned to relocate to one of the other camps, even as those sites lacked the electricity, water and perimeter fence that made Can Rova accommodating.

Ms. Bocuñano was detained by the police during the mass eviction, and may face a fine.

In much of the world, homelessness correlates with a lack of work. But not on Ibiza, where the jobs are plentiful and the booming tourism sector depends on itinerant workers (with varying immigration status). Though seasonal labor has long strained the housing supply for a few months each year, the shortage now looks more structural.

“People who work every day to care for their children have no place to live,” Ms. Bocuñano said.

The rise of remote work and a surge in short-term rentals have erased many apartments from the market, compounding existing shortages caused by land-use restrictions on an island prized for its natural beauty, and by poor public policy that followed the burst of Spain’s housing bubble in 2008.

“It is fundamental,” said Carme Trilla, an economist and former director of housing policy for Catalonia, the Spanish region on “the peninsula,” as islanders are wont to say. “By definition they have to live there, and it’s not only price but also availability that is a problem.”

Ibiza’s deepening housing crisis came slowly at first, and then all at once. The island’s brand — “sun, beaches, nightlife,” as one broker put it — blossomed in the 1960s and ’70s as bohemians congregated on this Balearic Island. The flower children gave way to disco, and bell bottoms were pushed off the dance floor in the 1980s and 1990s by rave culture. By the 2000s, Ibiza had secured its reputation as a mecca for electronic music and luxury escapism.

“It is the only place in the world where you can see the top DJs in the world in top venues every night,” said Yann Pissenem, C.E.O. and owner of the Night League, parent company to Ushuaia and Hi, two of the island’s hottest clubs.

The island’s year-round population of 160,000 is double what it was 20 years ago and growing. During peak summer months, more than a million people make merry on the island at any given time, with upscale tourism putting still more pressure on housing.

Ibiza is an extreme example of a larger phenomenon in Spain, where about 12 percent of the gross domestic product comes from tourism. A recent report found that in 306 cities and towns considered tourism draws, rents are an average of 75 percent higher than the national average — the largest gap ever. Already this summer, thousands of protesters have turned up in other vacation spots including Malaga, Mallorca and the Canary Islands to demonstrate against the excesses of tourism.

Ms. Trilla, who now runs Habitat 3, a foundation that works to facilitate subsidized housing, said that on Ibiza, the crisis has been intensified by a new spate of discount airline connections to European capitals, and by more online platforms renting apartments to foreign visitors. The median price for a home on the island is now €558 a square foot — three times the national average and more than double the average in Madrid and Barcelona.

Three-quarters of prospective buyers on Ibiza are looking for a second home, while another 15 percent want an investment property, said Paloma Pérez Bravo, C.E.O. of Sotheby’s International Realty in Spain. So on an island with inadequate housing and limited buildable land, many homes sit vacant for much of the year. And since the pandemic, she added, there’s been more demand from buyers who want to live on the island year-round. “Ibiza is a good investment because the prices never stop rising,” Ms. Pérez said.

On a recent afternoon just before the demolition at Can Rova, residents related stories of crammed studio apartments where people would sleep in shifts on so-called “hot beds” for about €300 a month.

Maria Fernanda Chica, a 34-year-old Colombian who is awaiting working papers, lived in one such apartment while cleaning luxury homes for cash. “I couldn’t cook food when I needed to,” she said of the conditions. “At best I could use the kitchen once per day.”

This summer, she was living in a makeshift structure in Can Rova with her partner and teenage son. Most of the residents there rented plots for between €350 and €450 a month, plus €50 euros for water and another €50 for electricity. The residents were responsible for digging their own septic systems. A good number had built shanties from plywood, shipping pallets, AstroTurf, tarpaulins and other basic materials.

Jonathan Sanchez, 33, and his girlfriend Sandra Velasquez, 41, sleep in a tent among a few dozen others in another informal settlement. Mr. Sanchez, who was born on Ibiza, works construction by day. Ms. Velasquez, a Colombian émigré lacking work documents, works nights cleaning for €7 an hour.

“I don’t even remember the last time I went to the beach,” said Mr. Sanchez on a recent night. His T-shirt said “Ants” — the name of the party that Mr. Pissenem hosts on Saturdays.

The couple charge their mobile phones at bus stops and draw water from a tap in a nearby cemetery. Most of their neighbors are seasonal workers from Morocco who decamp after the summer season. Mr. Sanchez has been in his tent for 14 months. His co-workers have no idea where he lives. “It’s not that I am embarrassed,” he said. “I just don’t want people to feel sorry for me.”

Whenever campers like Mr. Sanchez are forced to move on, the Guardia Civil, one of Spain’s two national police forces, will likely play a role (as they did in the Can Rova eviction). But many of the officers are themselves caught in this housing crisis. At the height of tourist season, there were 17 vacant Guardia Civil positions on Ibiza. Many new recruits avoid work on the island and rotate out when they can find an opening elsewhere in Spain, said Tomas Quesada, a Guardia Civil officer and union representative. Starting salaries are just €1,800 a month, and the monthly €94.63 cost-of-living bonus makes little difference.

“It is leading to the desertification of public services,” Mr. Quesada said. “We have the right to be able to live.”

Nurses and doctors face a similar reality. So do teachers, some of whom commute daily by airplane from other islands to save money. “We don’t have the same level of public services here in Ibiza,” said Joana Tur Planells, a union representative for teachers.

Land will always be limited on a 220-square-mile island, but there is an emerging consensus that government intervention is needed. In the town of Santa Eulària des Riu, where Can Rova was located, City Hall plans to allocate 54,000 square feet of public land for housing construction over the next few years. Policy documents call for increased emphasis on the construction of multifamily dwellings and a crackdown on illegal short-term rentals.

Carmen Ferrer Torres, Santa Eulalia des Riu’s conservative mayor, points to plans to break ground on the construction of 60 smaller rental apartments — a fraction of the units needed to ease the strain.

“These are important, urgent problems with solutions that will take longer than we have,” the mayor said. In the meantime, her party also advocates further liberalizing rental markets, betting that streamlined evictions for scofflaws could free up stagnant housing stock. Ms. Ferrer was on site supporting the July 31 clearance of Can Rova.

But for Ms. Trilla, the housing economist, the big picture solution is clear. “It’s necessary to prioritize public housing for essential workers,” she said, adding that the problem is not just housing but the price of land. Basically, public money is needed to buy private property at market prices.

She pointed to a series of policies in Barcelona, the Catalonian capital, that might ease short-term housing supply, including one that would temporarily loosen zoning rules so officials could break up single-family homes into multiple apartments. Barcelona is also phasing out short-term rentals of the type offered by platforms like Airbnb. They will be virtually banned by 2028.

On the private side, successful business owners like Mr. Pissenem, the club impresario, are wrestling with the crisis. His company has begun helping its seasonal workers find accommodations. “We all need to figure out a way to help the people that hold the island in their hands,” he said.

For now, Ibizans like Ms. Bocuñano wonder where their next home may be. For the first couple of nights after the Can Rova raid, she stayed on a friend’s couch. Her son is staying with her mother on the other side of the island. She was briefly allowed back in to Can Rova to get her personal possessions, including her caravan, but needed to borrow a vehicle to tow it.

From there, she said, “I am going to recover and put the pieces back together.”
