A vast 200-square metre space with Jacuzzi, sunpads, dining area and bar, the Amels 80 Hull #05 sun deck is the ultimate place to soak up the sun. Forward sliding doors offer protection from the elements, making this a fabulous entertaining space whatever the weather, while well-thought-out features such as a dumb waiter and discreet crew stairs to the pantry ensure spectacular service around the clock.

Water-Level Living

The magnificent beach club opens on three sides through the transom door and balconies to port and starboard. With a beach lounge filled with light through the pool above, as well as a wellness spa with massage room, gym, sauna and steam room, this is the ultimate way to enjoy life on the water.

Toy Storage

A touch-and-go helipad on the foredeck and a huge tender garage that holds an 11.5m and 8.5m tender makes sure that whatever the destination, you’ll be able to explore it to the full.

The first Amels 80 makes a splash

The first Amels 80 is afloat! Measuring 80m (261ft) in length, the new hull and superstructure was seen outside of her hull build shed for the first time since the concept was introduced in March 2022. Preparations are now underway for her journey to Damen Yachting's main shipyard in The Netherlands for final outfitting.

This next generation Amels Limited Editions, and the first of the most recent design to be introduced, is on track to be delivered to her new Owner in 2025 as per Damen Yachting’s promise of fast delivery – a trait proven through the legacy of the fifty-plus Amels Limited Editions delivered to date. Since selling the yacht exactly one year ago, the team at Burgess has remained involved in the build process to represent the Owner. 

'The Owner is enthusiastic and forward thinking when it comes to his yachting needs and our team has worked closely with him and Damen Yachting to realise his vision. Taking the Limited Editions platform as a superior baseline the Owner has embellished the design in specific areas making the yacht a truly custom vessel. Damen Yachting's Project Manager, Romke van der Linde explains what this milestone means for the yard and all those involved in the project.  'This Owner is positive, driven and passionate and it is great that we can realise this dream for him and be at the forefront of shipbuilding. What we are creating incorporates over a century of yacht building expertise and the experience gained from the Amels Limited Editions evolution – a process I have always been proud to be a part of. Today is a huge milestone in the history of our Amels Limited Editions and I can't wait for her to arrive in Vlissingen and watch her evolve into the very special superyacht she is set to become.'

Damen Yachting continues to evolve its products and, for many years, has perfected the Limited Editions superyachts and their various sizes and designs. With the classic Limited Edition designs still a firm favourite of many, the range increased in 2019 with the Amels 60 and now the largest Limited Editions yacht to date, the Amels 80.

In keeping with the Amels DNA, designer Espen Oeino created a holistic and modern exterior design. A key factor of the next-generation design is that it features sustainable materials and innovative hybrid technology. 

'The Amels 80 is a design that will not age. Her modern strong lines will look as good in 10 years as the day she is delivered. She is a big ship, full of features, with an impressive interior volume. She is everything and more that you will expect from an 80-metre yacht. There is a sense of scale, and nothing is wasted,' explains Espen Oeino.

Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design is the design studio behind the first Amels 80’s custom interiors, the shape of which will start coming together once the yacht arrives in Vlissingen, The Netherlands, from her build facility in Galati, Romania, for outfitting later this year. In line with the Amels Limited Editions concept, the Amels 80’s Owner has utilised the semi-custom platform and opted for an interior that hosts a personalised layer of loose furniture and decorative elements. 

'It’s a very neutral and natural palette,' explains Paul Costerus, Lead Designer at Sinot.  'Materials are treated so that the natural characteristics remain as pure as possible. The style is distinctive and allows the Owner to customise and add their personal style.'

Other features on board the Amels 80 include an impressive 200sqm (2,153sqft) sun deck, a waterside beach club which opens on three sides with a nearby wellness and spa, a dedicated owner’s deck and huge framed windows for panoramic views on the main deck. The yacht also houses a multitude of watercraft and toys and a helicopter landing area.

The Amels 80, measuring 80m or 261ft, has six decks. She is a big ship, offering plenty of features, with a truly impressive volume of 2,175GT. Designed by the legendary Espen Øino, a designer and naval architect who knows the value of the water like no other. A ton-sur-ton neutral colour palette, with natural stained oak and walnut veneers, natural stones and leathers, has been hand-picked by Sinot to manufacture the interiors.

The yacht comes with the largest sundeck in her class, with an oversized on deck spa, easily accessible thanks to an all deck elevator. The beach club opens on each side, bathed in natural light via the glass-bottom pool while featuring a gym, hammam and sauna. The owner’s deck comes with a forward-facing stateroom with a jacuzzi. The bow offers a multi-purpose area, that can carry a large helicopter or be fitted with a basketball court.

Damen yachting announces the sale of the third amels 80, designed by espen øino, with delivery expected in 2026….

Damen Yachting announces  the sale of the third unit in its 80-metre Amels Limited Editions series, just three months after the second hull was sold. The Amels 80 is the largest vessel in the Limited Editions range that was announced in March 2022, with the first hull sold six months later.

The latest unit, initially known as Project Zurich, is set to be delivered in 2026. The calculated volume is believed to be around 2100GT and will house 14 guests and 20+ crew. While the interiors are confidential, the Exterior design once again comes from Espen Øino .

Jan van Hogerwou, Commercial Executive of Damen Yachting, who worked with the client throughout the sales process., comments: “It is almost a year to the date since we introduced the Amels 80. The fact that we have seen not only positive reactions to the design since the launch but also a strong sales foothold within the first 12 months is a true testament to her modern design and trusted build pedigree. I am very much looking forward to embarking on the build journey with this experienced client.”

Sixth Amels 60 with "striking" blue hull completes sea trials

The sixth Amels 60 has successfully completed her first sea trials following a July launch from Damen Yachting 's facilities in Vlissingen, the Netherlands. 

Commissioned by a European owner, the sale was announced during the 2022 Monaco Yacht Show . She will remain quayside until her delivery later this year.

The unit has seen the return of the design team that worked on the first hull, Come Together , with an exterior by Espen Øino and a custom interior by British studio Winch Design . She has the same distinct windows and exterior styling as the previous hulls while incorporating some key changes – including a "spectacular" colour palette, windbreakers and swimming steps.

"This latest Amels 60 is a wonderful example of our Limited Editions concept," said Damen Yachting’s sales manager Jorrit Pilaar. The yacht has been designed for "worldwide voyages" and will be used as a family cruiser.

The sixth hull in the series is powered by a hybrid propulsion system. It offers 830GT, allowing plenty of space for amenities including a large sundeck, swim platform and unfolding balcony attached to the owner's suite. There is also provision for a nine-metre tender in the foredeck.

According to BOATPro , Damen Yachting has seven yachts currently on order or under construction, including two units in its Xplorer 60 series.
