Most rain falls between October and February, giving much of Sardinia a lush and verdant character. Visitors may well experience balmy summer days in March and April, though evenings will be cool during this time of year. The prevailing wind is north westerly, which can be particularly significant on the Strait of Bonifacio at the north of the island.

From the northern coast of the main island cruise about 10 nautical miles offshore toward the spectacular archipelago of La Maddalena. Once your embarkation date is 30 days away, the other 50% is collected for the price of the yacht, plus the APA, plus the taxes due.

Terms of refunds are dictated by the Charter Agreement. Generally, once a payment is collected, it is non-refundable. In certain circumstances, as dictated by the Charter Agreement, credits can be provided so you will be able to enjoy your yacht charter at a future date that is convenient for you.

Delivered in 2013 and fresh from a full refurbishment in 2019, this 65m (213.3ft) yacht has a sizeable 106sqm (1,141sqft) sun deck that guests love, with two lounge areas, one shaded and one sunny, a fully equipped sit-up bar and a large jacuzzi with sun pads aft. Inside, the grand polished steel and leather staircase encircled by walls lined with macassar links the main deck's sophisticated bar and striking formal dining room with the bridge deck's intimate sky lounge and bar.

She welcomes 12 guests in six double cabins, a full-beam master suite on the main deck with study and full-height glass sliding doors opening onto a private breakfast balcony to starboard, a VIP suite on the bridge deck and four lower deck double cabins.

ILLUSION has a top speed of 28kn, cruising happily at 15kn, and her Van Oosannen-designed hull was built for maximum efficiency, significantly reducing fuel consumption and emissions for guilt-free island-hopping. Add Quantum Zero speed stabilizers for comfort underway or while at anchor and you have an unforgettable experience ready and waiting for you.

Le Grand Bleu | The Super Mega Yacht

One of the world’s largest, super-mega yachts, Le Grand Bleu was seen floating off the north-west coast of Sardinia, Italy on August 12, 2012.

She’s big, she’s beautiful and she is estimated to be worth $85-$90 million! I was there to capture her in all her splendid, expensive glory. I couldn’t help but stare at this beautiful beast silently floating in the Bay of Asinara (Donkey Bay) for the entire three hours we were at the beach.

Le Grand Bleu is a 370-foot mega yacht, launched in 2000 and originally owned by American business person John McCaw Jr.

In 2002 the McCaw family sold Le Grand Bleu to Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich. Roman had le grand bleu lengthened ( yes lengthened! cause you know 370-feet is just too small ) and refitted with a 16-foot swim platform! Snap!

Only to have money to burn… guess I gotta work another day 😉 I have been taking the school bus to work, luckily more like a coach and not the tacky yellow buses like home. I have to get my scooter going again so I have more freedom, but a scam where people are puncturing tires and then their partner coming to the ‘rescue’ and charging huge fees to repair it has been going around again. School suggests we use alternate transport until that is sorted.

Haha 370 feet is just too small… only if you’re Roman Abramovich! He gave the yacht to one of his friends a few years ago i think… probably the best gift ever! I wonder if he wrapped it up? Though he now owns the Eclipse which is only 553 feet :O!

Too much for me lol ! I’ll be happy with a gommone 😉

May be worth 90 million bucks, but it looks like a fishing boat turned into a cargo, and that chopper + 2 boats parked on deck.. Ouch.

LOL! I like this yacht, I want to sail around the world and call it my own. I girl can dream, right?

Finally, O'Ceanos arrived on the Sardinian docks, built by the Italian shipyard Mondo Marine, available for charter for up to 12 guests in 7 cabins.

The repercussions of the supply chain

Northern Sardinia and Corsica are confirmed as one of the main destinations for luxury yachts with important repercussions on the local economy. A study by The Europeans House has calculated a value of more than eight thousand euros of the economic impact on the territory for a yacht between 36 and 50 meters.

The repercussions do not benefit the marinas alone, (in this period the cost of mooring for boats up to 55 meters is on average around 3,500 euros per day), but concern numerous services, from hotels to florists, from restaurants to markets. . Record negli aeroporti, il quadro muta, bilancio positivo per federalberghi, meglio dividere, il superlusso e i maxi yacht, la stagione si allunga.

Più turisti in vacanza, ma per meno giorni. E nella Sardegna che registra un boom di arrivi tra porti e aeroporti, la Costa Smeralda e il Nord Est della regione si confermano in testa per il segmento super lusso dove cresce anche la presenza di megayacht.

A tracciare questo quadro è l’analisi della Comunicazione e Centro Studi di UniOlbia (il consorzio universitario di Olbia) sui dati di Sardegna Mobilità pubblicati il 2 settembre. Nel mese clou delle vacanze, negli aeroporti dell’isola sono stati registrati arrivi per 1,440 milioni di passeggeri raggiungendo quello che Uniolbia definisce «il nuovo record storico e superando il dato prima della pandemia».

Gli arrivi sono infatti in aumento del 4,7% su agosto del 2023, del 6% su agosto 2022 e del 3,8% su agosto 2019, quando gli arrivi furono 1,386 milioni. A farla da padrone sono gli aeroporti con 788mila passeggeri contro i 421mila dei porti. La crescita degli aeroporti (del 13,9% rispetto al 2019 e del 9,6% rispetto allo scorso anno) ha compensato il calo dei porti (-6,2% rispetto al 2019 e -0,6% rispetto al 2023) tra Olbia, Porto Torres, Cagliari, Golfo Aranci e Arbatax.

Nonostante la crescita, rispetto al passato, come sottolineano dal Cipnes di Olbia, qualcosa è cambiato. Perché aumentano le presenze, ma si riducono i giorni di permanenza: «Più turisti ma per meno giorni».

A tracciare un bilancio positivo è Federalberghi Sardegna. «Un 2024 che in Sardegna porta a casa delle prime proiezioni numeri positivi anche per agosto - sottolinea il presidente regionale Paolo Manca-. Dopo la crescita dovuta al ritorno degli stranieri nei mesi da aprile a luglio. Ad agosto la Sardegna si conferma regina delle vacanze per i nostri connazionali, con numeri simili a quelli del 2023». Per il presidente «a differenza di altre destinazioni della Penisola, la Sardegna è riuscita, complice un Last Minute che ha riguardato quasi una prenotazione su tre, a confermare i buoni risultati dell’anno precedente. Sicuramente hanno influito i prezzi dei voli low cost sia nazionali che internazionali che ad agosto costavano paradossalmente meno che a giugno e luglio».

C’è chi poi preferisce dividere il periodo di ferie. «Da segnalare il trend di vacanza più brevi, in tanti hanno scelto di fare meno dei classici 7 giorni, spezzando le proprie vacanze in due blocchi da 3-4 giorni alle volte anche nella stessa destinazione, ma in periodi diversi - conclude -. Lo sguardo in avanti ci dice che a Settembre e Ottobre i flussi di turisti stranieri in particolare i centro europei che hanno vacanze programmate nel periodo autunnale, consentiranno di proseguire la buona stagione avuto fino ad ora».

Un aspetto caratterizzante della stagione è il superlusso che interessa la Costa Smeralda dove il boom ha riguardato il ramo superyacht. Solo ad agosto sono registrate 1,8 mila presenze con un incremento del 15% rispetto allo scorso anno. Un dato in linea con quelli dei mesi precedenti che hanno registrato una crescita variabile tra il 15 e il 17% rispetto al 2023. Con le grosse imbarcazioni anche una ricaduta importante per il territorio dato che, evidenziano dal centro studi Cipnes, «ogni super yacht spende in media 40mila euro al giorno».

La prospettiva è positiva anche secondo l’analisi di Uniolbia per settembre e ottobre, dove si prevede un +23% di arrivi e un +17% di presenze rispetto al periodo precovid.
