By the late 1960s, Hatteras offered a full line of models including the Hatteras 50 MY, the largest production fiberglass motor yacht then available.

As industry demand grew for bigger boats, Hatteras rose to the challenge, expanding the Hatteras sport fishing fleet from 50′ boats to 90′ convertibles.
