South Jersey Yacht Sales was originally established in 1980 in Cape May, NJ by then owner Dick Weber. The goal was to establish and maintain a first class yacht sales organization that could satisfy a consumer’s need for superior sportfishing boats. Dick brought aboard acclaimed product lines and combined them with a talented sales and support staff to form the cornerstone of his company.

In 2016 Dick had decided to retire from boat sales and sold South Jersey Yacht Sales to its new owner George Robinson. George having been an avid fisherman and boater for over 40 years comes to South Jersey Yacht Sales with a passion and desire to make South Jersey Yacht Sales the premier dealer for both new and used boats. He brings energy and enthusiasm from his love of boating to his new business.

South Jersey Yacht Sales proudly has six locations to best serve our clients. In October 2020, South Jersey Yacht Sales purchased what was formally known as C-Jam Yacht Sales and Marina in Somers Point, NJ which houses a showroom, full-service yard, 40 slip marina, and lift well with haul out capabilities up to 70 tons. Along with the purchase of C-Jam Yacht Sales and Marina came their facility in Egg Harbor Township, NJ which houses our subsidiary Chart House Marine Electronics & Outfitting, another service building, and a winter storage yard. Our office in Cape May, NJ is located at the premier Canyon Club Resort and Marina, a full-service boating facility. Our Point Pleasant location was added to help better serve our customers located in the central and northern parts of New Jersey. We also recently established an office at the Brielle Yacht Club. This location puts us in the heart of the sportfishing community in central and northern New Jersey.

Finally, our location in North Palm Beach, FL allows South Jersey Yacht Sales to establish a brokerage presence in Florida and help better service our North / South clients. South Jersey Yacht Sales has an established sales team comprised of 10 salesmen all with plenty of experience within the industry. Our sales team is backed by a listing administrator, two closing administrators, and an extensive service team to assist throughout all phases of the buying and selling experience.

Right Whales in Canyons An abnormally high number of North Atlantic Right Whales (NARW) have been spotted in and around the Northeast canyons from the Hudson up to Block canyons. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has used airplane surveillance and other assets to identify the whales and believes they are present due to a high level of food in these areas. We are advising mariners to be particularly vigilant while operating in these waters. If whale(s) are seen, mariners are asked to provide a wide berth. For the latest information about the location of the whales, visit whalemap.org. Viking hopes that by sharing this information, we can help protect the whales and increase navigational safety. The effort also shows how communication and technology, in this case, the use of airplane surveillance, can be used to track whales and decrease the risk of vessel strikes. We strongly support the use of technology – rather than speed restrictions – to protect marine mammals and improve mariner safety. NOAA realizes this is the height of offshore pelagic fishing in the Northeast and MidAtlantic, with many tournaments planned, and therefore wants to raise awareness about this unusually high number of NARW. NOAA is posting information on its Instagram and Facebook, and the U.S. Coast Guard is including the information in its Local Notices to Mariners (LNMs) on channel 16. NOAA information designates two 15nm x 15nm square voluntary slow zones in which the whales have been spotted. Viking is not endorsing these slow zones. However, we do want to make owners and captains aware of these whales for safety reasons. NOAA (which plans to conduct weekly aerial surveys for the next seven weeks) will keep boaters informed through its social media and other outlets. Right whale sightings from Maine to Virginia can be reported to (866) 755-6622 or to the Coast Guard via channel 16.

We are preparing our 39’Yellowfin to be the Grand Marshal’s boat hosting an ESPN analyst and th 35’ INVINCIBLE BOATS catamaran to host one of Philadelphia Eagles favorite players in Saturday’s Night in Venice parade. Work continues however with several high profile jobs. Note the flag on the Estrella 😎.

Welcome to our Somers Point Service Center. While transiting from Marathon Fl. to his summer home in the great lakes, our newest transient client needed our help. With really bad weather offshore, this client decided to come inland. An unfortunate grounding for him, but thankful for our friends at Sea Tow for recommending he come to our facility. With driving rain & 40 knot NE winds yesterday, we were ready to perform the emergency haul in our new lift well & 70 Ton lift. Our team performed a prop switch, checked for proper operation and any other damages, and completed the work in short order. And another Seakeeper Ride installed in our service facility by Dynamic Stabilizers. These automated trim stabilizers have caught the attention of many center console owners. Our new 30’Jupiter Marine has them and I am completely impressed on the performance.

Just another update on the new headquarters and showroom in Somers Point. We selected in slab heating to provide a consistent heat as well reduction in energy.

Yesterday marked the beginning of a very exciting journey. Our old yellow showroom is officially coming down! We could not be more excited about what is to come in the next 9 to 11 months. Stay tuned for perodic updates.

Welcome to the big dig in our Somers Point NJ Marina. We plan to have 6' of water at MLW in the slips and 10' at MLW in the main runway leading to the lift well. If anyone dropped an expensive Rolex or other fine watches or jewelry in the water here, I suppose it could be found at the sod facility in a few weeks.

The work continues on the replacement of the outer breakwater. The team at Channel Marine Construction are doing phenomenal work.

When it comes to efficiency, our service team is ahead of the game. Being able to effectively maneuver bigger boats in smaller spaces thanks to our new remote-operated trailer, we have been able to increase our yard capacity by 10%. Additionally, being able to move boats in and out of the enclosed service bay in a fraction of the time compared to traditional methods, our service technicians can work faster and reduce the overall downtime of each boat. Preparing for this weekends cold weather, the South Jersey Yacht Sales & Service Center has been working long hours to pull slip holders and late season fishing boats out. At the same time, work continues on the new marina break water. Channel Marine Construction crew has the most difficult work, but is proceeding nicely. This investment will help protect our nice marina and your nice boats.

South Jersey Yacht Sales, New Jersey’s premier dealer of luxury sportfishing vessels, announces the Grand Opening of their new showroom and yacht sales offices in Cape May County. A culmination of nearly two years of planning, design and construction, the nearly 12,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility is located at 680 Bay Avenue in Somers Point, just a mile from Great Egg Harbor Inlet, and features energy efficient construction throughout with floor space to display center console vessels up to 60’. Somers Point is the epicenter of boating in Cape May County and this new showroom offers a convenient location for South Jersey Yacht Sales to provide sales and service for their premium brands including Albemarle, Invincible, Jupiter, Sea Pro, Viking, Valhalla and Yellowfin. Additionally, the new showroom houses South Jersey Yacht Sales corporate offices and Atlantic Horizon Capital, the financing arm of South Jersey Yacht Sales. Clients can also get expert advice and outfitting of their vessel by Chart House Marine Electronics and Outfitting. The showroom’s vast floor space also provides display areas for premium marine products including Seakeeper and Seakeeper Ride by Dynamic Stabilizers. Plans also call for hosting a series of seminars on fishing, electronics and other boating related topics during the year. A Grand Opening for the public is scheduled for Sunday April 14th from 11:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. when visitors will be able to meet the entire sales and support staff. 

Adjacent to the new showroom, South Jersey Yacht Sales Service Center’s newly renovated service administration building and client experience lounge with its 40-slip marina offers service, maintenance, repair and upgrades for vessels of all types with haul out capabilities up to 70 tons as well as Yamaha and Mercury service by certified technicians. Mobile service vans provide “on location” service from Sandy Hook to Delaware Bay.
