- Moorage fees are calculated on the length of the yacht or slip, whichever is longer.
- The yacht’s length overall is measured upon arrival. This includes all components from bow to stern.
- Our Moorage Credit Program allows you to earn money while your boat is away from the marina.

Vancouver Yacht Moorage
If you approaching Vancouver from the south, you could go up the North Arm of Fraser River to a number of marinas in the Richmond area, and take a bus into the city. If you are approaching from the North, you could tie up at Horseshoe Bay on the north shore of West Vancouver, or at Snug Cove on the south side of Bowen Island. A private foot ferry runs between Snug Cove and Granville Island during the summer months. Or take the BC Ferries from Snug Cove to Horseshoe Bay, then board a bus fro the trip into Vancouver-or as far south as White Rock if that’s where you wanted to go. The Vancouver bus system is excellent and affordable.
The moorage in Vancouver, choose either Vancouver Harbour area or the False Creek area. Each has advantages, and each is good. Once your settled, Vancouver bus system allows you to get around the entire area with minimum delay. A Costco store is located near the northeast end of False Creek at 605 Expo Blvd.
Point Grey. Point Grey marks the southern entrance to Burrard Inet. When approaching from the south, cutting too close to Point Grey risks grounding on Spanish Bank. Leave the buoys to starboard when entering.
Spanish Bank. Spanish Bank is an extensive drying bank off the north shore of Point Grey. the outer edge of the bank is marked with buoys. Royal Vancouver Yacht Club has its main clubhouse and sailboat moorage about 3 miles from Point Grey along the south shore of English Bay. DRY STORAGE
Winter and summer monthly rates for dry storage.
Point Roberts Marina moorage rates for Vancouver vessel owners are in US Dollars based on berth length or vessel Length Over Water (LOW), whichever is greater. Rates for Annual and Monthly are payable in advance and are non-refundable.
Payments made by credit card will be assessed a 3% processing fee.
Point Roberts Marina requires proof of insurance and vessel registration from all Vancouver vessel owners.

Request Transient Moorage
Moorage Application Procedures: Deep Bay Marina acceptance of a completed Moorage Application is in no way an offer of moorage nor an obligation to provide moorage. Deep Bay Marina is a private recreational marina, which may decline Moorage Application acceptance and/or inclusion into any waiting lists. Available berths may be offered on a “first-come, first-served” basis with confirmation of moorage subject to: 1) acceptance of a completed Moorage Application; 2) payment of all applicable fees and dues; 3) confirmation of vessel insurance; 4) duel execution of a Moorage License Agreement. Applications are deemed “active” for 12-months which period may be renewed by written request. Waiting list applicants offered moorage must respond within of 48-hours (two business days). Non-responding applicants – and/or applicants declining a suitably sized berth – will be removed from the waiting list. Live-Aboard and Commercial/Charter Moorage are not available – strictly monitored.

Winter Storage Rates

Effective September 1, 2023. All fees are in Canadian funds and subject to 5% GST. Fees are subject to change without notice.
20% off winter storage fees for Westport annual berth holders.
3 month minimum charge. Winter Storage fees do not include lift, launch, pressure wash, or electrical usage fees. No work permitted on vessels while in winter storage. Winter Storage boats are not permitted to be used as living quarters. Winter Storage is not available May through Aug. All boats remaining in Winter Storage after April 30 will be charged the daily boat yard rate.
Vessels 40′ to 50′ must be blocked in boatyard, limited space available.

Entrance Fees and Monthly Dues
Active Members must be 19 years of age. The total Membership Fee is non-refundable. Applications must include the non-refundable minimum deposit as outlined below. Membership fees can be amortized over four years (see table below).

As of July 1, 2022, the entrance fee for an Affiliate Member is $2,000 + GST. Payment for this fee and the tax is to be included with an Affiliate membership application submitted to the Club Office. The monthly dues are $97.85+ GST. Should an Affiliate Member decide to, they can apply to the Board to convert to an Active Membership. This will allow them to use the outstations and start earning seniority to access Club moorage in the future. They will receive a discount on their Entrance Fee of five percent per year of membership to a maximum of 10 years, plus a credit for the original Affiliate entrance fee paid. The Affiliate membership category is currently capped at 30 members and is currently fully subscribed. Minimum age 16, maximum age 26. Intermediate Members who are also a full-time student are eligible for a 50% reduction of their regular quarterly dues. At age 27, an Intermediate Member is required to become an Active Member. They will be required to pay the current Membership Fee for 27 years of age, less 5% per year for each year they have been a Member, up to a maximum of 10 years. They will also be entitled to a discount equal to all dues paid since they became a Member.

Applicants for Junior Membership must be between 4 and 18 years of age. A Junior Member is an individual membership. For Juniors whose parents are Members, the annual dues are reduced. At 16 years of age, a Junior Member has the option to transfer to an Intermediate or Intermediate Student Member. This change allows the Member to begin accumulating seniority as it relates to the eligibility of a future vessel moorage assignment. If a Junior elects to remain a Junior beyond 16, they will be required to transfer to Intermediate, Intermediate Student or Active when they reach 19 years of age to maintain their Membership. All previously paid dues go toward reducing the Membership fee, plus a 5% discount for each year of membership, to a maximum of 10 years (as specified in the bylaws).

4. Point Grey. Residents of Lyall Harbour Boot Cove should BOIL their drinking water until further notice. 3811 Point Grey Road . $72,000-$77,000 a year. The Jericho site includes a clubhouse, two restaurants, and berths enough for 350 as Moorage at a Short-Term Zone or at the Swartz Bay dock cannot exceed 72 consecutive hours in a 30-day period. Welcome! Whether you are visiting The Royal Victoria Yacht Club as a guest of a member, taking part in a function or as a reciprocal guest, we welcome you to our Clubhouse at Cadboro Bay.
Guests are required to sign in with the Administration office or Chartroom Bar upon arrival. Parking is available in our main parking lot to the right when you drive in the entrance. Wheelchair accessible parking and the wheelchair ramp are located through the Porte cochere towards the main exit.
Our main Clubhouse and Foreshore facility is situated at the southeastern tip of Vancouver Island, near the convergence of Haro Strait and Juan de Fuca Strait, on the Western Shore of Cadboro Bay. As you enter Cadboro Bay, RVYC is on your left. Go past the breakwater. Our visitors dock, 'V' dock, will be on your left. Hail the Foreshore on VHF 9A or contact them at (250) 592-3433. If there is no answer, moor where you can, come ashore and check in with the Foreshore Office or after hours in the Bar.
A designated Customs clearance zone has been reserved on the inside of V dock at Cadboro Bay. All vessels must go to the designated customs zone (Yellow line marked customs) and operators must call the CBSA to wait for further instructions before disembarking.
Visitor moorage is available to approved reciprocal clubs at our Cadboro Bay facility, from April to October, on the northern-most outer slips. Other slips may be made available from time to time by member vacancy.
All reciprocal guests must present a valid membership card and you must fly your club burgee during your visit. A $10 refundable deposit is required for the gate fob.
Reciprocal moorage is not available at our facilities at Tsehum Harbour or Long Harbour.
Complimentary Wi-Fi is available on the docks and in the Clubhouse, showers are located by the Foreshore office and ice is available to purchase.
Our main Clubhouse is located at the corner of Ripon Road and Beach Drive in the Uplands residential area of Oak Bay. Guests arriving by land are required to sign in with the Administration office or Chartroom Bar upon arrival. Parking is available in our main parking lot to the right when you drive in the entrance. Wheelchair accessible parking and the wheelchair ramp are located through the Porte cochere towards the main exit.
