“Every award is an incentive. But much more important for us at NOBISKRUG is the joy we afford Owners with a superyacht like ODESSA II.”
Creating a unique yacht experience was top priority in the design, planning and build of ODESSA II. It is a perfect success…
Designed as…
…a modern and spacious family superyacht for worldwide adventures, ODESSA II is a yacht for sun worshippers. On three levels, decks beckon sunbathers with generous seating and lounging areas. Innovative entertainment electronics turn the helipad into a lit up stage with innumerable ports for light and sound systems – it is all clear for live acts.
The lounge area…
...includes a whirlpool; a giant screen turns it into a floating open-air cinema. Should the voyage lead into cooler regions, up to twelve guests can enjoy a fully equipped high-end fitness centre, a private spa and a sauna.
The designers…
...and the interior design specialists thought of quite everything that might turn a yacht into a superyacht to ensure that every voyage will be a genuine experience.
NOBISKRUG ensured…
...that ODESSA II is a technical and structural masterpiece as well. The steel hull was built in Kiel, the structure is made of aluminium, the decks are laid in teak. Two MTU diesel engines type 16V4000M60 drive the yacht at a cruising speed of 15 knots, up to 17 knots.
Her performance convinced…
...the exclusive ”World Superyacht Awards” jury. ODESSA II was awarded “Best Displacement Motor Yacht in the class 1,300GT to 1,999GT“.
So much more important…
...than all the world’s awards is the joy that a yacht by NOBISKRUG will bring her owner.

The sundeck is the uppermost deck of the four decks onboard available to guest comfort. It is comfortable and prepped for relaxation. It is split between three areas with the forward section aimed for relaxation. This model from Nobiskrug features the ability to have a helicopter land touch-and-go style on the roof of the bridge but on Odessa II it is usually kitted out for outdoor furniture. Further back a Jacuzzi awaits the yacht’s guests and ample sunbathing pads are available on either side of the Jacuzzi. The wavy cut to the sunpad built-in area also provides an aesthetic appeal. Sun awnings can be erected by the crew to help partially shade the deck both fore and aft.
The interior by H2 Yacht Design focuses on light beige tones and contrasted in some rooms by dark veneers. Accommodation is offered for twelve guests in seven staterooms including a full beam master suite with panoramic views. Where ever onboard the owner and guests will appreciate her 40-foot beam offering a more-than-comfortable experience whether in the main salon, the upper salon, the sundeck or in the cabins, the space offered to the guests is evident. Makes little sense having a 70-meter-plus superyacht it is lacks adequate space.
Besides the grandeur, the interior is finished with a number of fancy and precious materials. One reoccurring theme in various rooms onboard is the use of back-lit stone. Ranging from the ceiling fixture in the main saloon, to the bar, to the feature wall in the spa/massage room. Back-lit stonework is utilized to turn the notch up on the luxury appeal for the owner. The floors also offer variety in the finish. There is a different look to the floors in most of the rooms onboard and it may range from exquisitely finished teak-like materials in a longitudinal fashion to a more intricate repeated ‘W’ style or try luxurious soft carpeting in the guest cabins.
The owner’s suite is on deck and forward in location. Other cabins for guests are spread around but primarily total seven onboard. There is the owner’s suite, two doubles, two twins a convertible cabin –if needed- and a single cabin. There is also accommodation for as many as nineteen crew-members if needed. The master suite is full beam and benefits from a flush-fit fold-down balcony large enough to hold the owner and partner on those days or nights at anchor in serene bay locations around the world. The main room features a very large bed and a large bathroom stunningly outfitted and finished in lavish materials. As nice as the master is, once the owner is onboard none of the other guests can access it so it’s back to the sundeck for more guest relaxation.
Last time (earlier) we only visited the forward portion of the sundeck. Midship on this particular deck is an enclosed/indoor room that houses the yacht’s gym! So you can sweat it out in air conditioned comfort if you wish, while shaving a few pounds off. Aft of this area is dedicated to sit-down relaxation. With the sun awnings installed this area of the deck shouldn’t be too hot and even if it is, the yacht is equipped with a fog/mist cooling system. More guest spaces are on the lower deck too.
One of these areas is the beach club. Odessa II’s beach club may not be the most expansive onboard a superyacht today but it sure isn’t that small either. It’s a decent space to give another option to the yacht’s guests to relax. The spa is down there too and if you want some of those kinks rubbed out, the massage bed isn’t far away. Odessa II is easily distinguishable from her sister hull Plan B with a grey hull ( Plan B has a cream-coloured hull). She has ocean-crossing range and can sprint to nearly 18-knots thanks to her pair of diesel-fed MTU 16V 4000 M60s. She has also engaged in charter and has watersports equipment to satisfy the avid waterman/woman onboard. Her main tender is a special vessel built by Hacker Craft. The deck of the main tender is constructed of mahogany and the hull and topsides of okume/epoxy/fiberglass. Thank you for stepping aboard superyacht Odessa II with us, now collect your shoes from the end of the passerelle!
