Luxury yacht TATIANA was launched by Turkish shipyard Bilgin Yachts in February 2020, and at 80m/263ft it is the largest build from the shipyard to date. As the second Bilgin 263 model is sold and the third enters construction, it’s now possible to see the recently released imagery for TATIANA with reveals what has made this luxury yacht an instant success on the market even in such a tumultuous year.

The naval architecture and exterior styling both come from Unique Yacht Design, while H2 Yacht Design created her appealing interiors. The steel hull and aluminium superstructure have a masculine appearance created by sharp lines and a more traditional colour scheme of dark and light grey, most often associated with military vessels. With the increase in on board space comes a tendency to create a broad and bulky hull, however by elongating the deck areas M/Y TATIANA keeps a sleek and stylish profile that maximises space utilisation, particularly when adding swimming pools to the decks.

Outdoor living is prized, allowing the Owner and guests to savour every moment cruising in such destinations as the Mediterranean charter grounds, taking in the beauty of the Turkish Riviera and the Dalmatian Coast before cruising on to the heart of the summer social scene along the French Riviera .

Superyacht TATIANA is designed with large dockside gatherings in mind: Guests will disembark onto the large swim platform and enter the magnificent beach club within. The tenders and water toys are instead stored in the bow section beneath a flush foredeck cover, ensuring that space can still be used for such functions as exercise and sunbathing.

The main deck aft, meanwhile, hosts a desirable swimming pool of 8.5m/27.9ft in length and a depth of 1.4m/4.6ft – perfect for cooling off on hot summer days or exercising after dark when the water toys are safely stowed away. Although there are sunbeds running the length of both sides of the pool, the group might also like to rest and dry off on the sofa/sunbeds farther forward in the alfresco lounge area. Here, there is quick access to the bar where the talented crew can create a range of colourful cocktails and non-alcoholic beverages to suit all ages and occasions.

The upper deck aft is the main alfresco dining area and offers an extensive dining table with a bar to port and aft-facing seating behind to enjoy an aperitif or a nightcap while watching the blazing sunset. Canvas shades are available to keep off the midday sun and light sea spray.

The Owner’s deck is divided into fore and aft sections that also have optional canvas shades. The aft section is dedicated to lounging and sunbathing, with a plush sunbed along the stern and close to the glass sliding doors to the interior a sofa on both sides with a coffee table in between. The forward deck area is fitted with a sofa/sunbed on both sides and a forward Jacuzzi that will be coveted place to unwind while having uninterrupted views of the stunning Ionian Islands white cliffs, the regattas at Porto Cervo in Sardinia and the amazing cities of the Cote d’Azur .

Large windows and private terraces connect the interior and exterior spaces: At night, the warm glow of the lighting across the decks makes her as much of a show-stopper as a welcome home on the water during an extensive cruise. It is this lighting which draws guests into the understated elegance of the contemporary interiors by H2 Yacht Design, and the beach club is likely to be one of the first spaces guests and visitors enter by. The light and spacious interior are achieved using Macassar veneer and light eucalyptus. The top-quality marble is back-lit to bring out its details, further complemented by carved stone and emphasised textures.

A swimming pool runs through the centre of the aft beach club section, further illuminated by glass panels in the swimming pool on the main deck above. Farther forward, the beach club opens up to reveal a bar, plush lounges with top-quality TV entertainment and audio systems, a hammam and a spa massage room. Fold-down terraces further extend the space for sunbathing and lounging while simultaneously opening the interior up to the sunshine and fresh sea air.

Elsewhere on board there is an ambient cinema that has dark textures walls and two rows of matching silvery sofas. A coffee table also presents the possibility of using this space as another quiet lounge for close conversation.

Gym

The fully-equipped gym has a running machine, rowing machine and a range of free weights amongst its workout choices, and a widescreen TV will provide entertainment and motivation in the calm, bright white surroundings.

The main deck salon uses pale cream tones, slate blue and silvery mirror surfaces to create an ambience associated with the open sky. This is reflected in the colour scheme and subject matter of the surrounding artwork, adding to the serenity when dining beneath the sensational custom chandelier, or planning for the day ahead on the sumptuous sofas or armchairs. A widescreen TV separates the dining and lounging areas, and it can be viewed from both sides so that the group never misses a moment of the latest news and sports.

The skylounge is a dream-like sports lounge with an eye-catching back-lit bar, a pool table, grand piano and armchairs scattered throughout two semi-circular sofas and coffee tables create a cosy place to relax and watch live-action or a film on the widescreen TV, with the mirrored ceiling and matching walls creating an intimate environment after sundown.

The guest accommodation is just as beautiful and pristine in colour choice and furnishings. There are 8 en-suite cabins spread across the decks to sleep up to 14 guests: 1 Master suite, 3 VIP staterooms and 4 further guest cabins comprised of doubles and twins.

Owner Deck- Master Suite

The Master suite is placed on the Owner’s deck and has its own private office as well as a massive stately bedroom in white, grey, dark teal and gold. The king-sized bed takes centre stage, however, there is also a day bed for reading and unwinding beside the window, a massive widescreen TV integrated into the port and starboard walls, a seating area with table for casual meals and drinks, all with fantastic views out onto the aft terrace. The en-suite bathroom has everything the occupants could desire, with twin sinks, a bathtub and shower within the well-proportioned interior.

Main Deck VIP Guest Cabin

All three VIP staterooms are situated on the main deck and have queen-sized beds within each voluminous room. The windows are almost full-height, granting the occupants excellent views and natural lighting while maintaining privacy within. A widescreen TV is placed in the wall opposite the bed, and the storage is integrated seamlessly into the surroundings. The en-suite bathroom is finished in marble and has twin sinks and bathtub with shower.

Lower Deck Guest Twin Cabin

Lower Deck Guest Twin Cabin

The remaining guest cabins on the lower deck enjoy an abundance of space as well as cutting edge amenities and en-suite facilities, making these bedrooms just as much of a tranquil haven after a busy day.

The crew of 23 are accommodated on the lower deck, and their areas have received just as much attention to detail. There is a crew mess for meals and downtime, and the team of professional chefs have plenty of space in the cutting-edge galley to prepare stunning creations for everyday meals or to mark a special celebration.

The engineering is just as impressive with a pair of engines and a generator producing a top speed of 19 knots, a cruising speed of 12 knots and an extensive range of more than 6,000 nautical miles. The fuel capacity draws on 155,000 litres and has an economical fuel consumption of approximately 250 litres per hour.

Luxury yacht TATIANA is built to IMO Tier III certification and at the time of writing is the cleanest yacht in her class: The special exhaust system aboard M/Y TATIANA produces 100% clean air emissions that further enhances her eco-friendly credentials for a greener future for travel.

Bilgin Yachts is also currently building a 50m/164ft and 74m/242.8ft luxury yacht both due for launch in 2022, plus a new 85m/278.9ft superyacht due for launch in 2023 when she will become the new flagship for the yard.

Tatiana: On board the 80m superyacht with a bow shaped like a bullet

Tatiana, a large, svelte yacht with a bow shaped like a bullet, is heralding a new era for Turkish builder Bilgin Yachts.

Tatiana , Bilgin Yachts’ graceful flagship, is born of a lengthy collaboration between a yacht enthusiast with the goal to build a small superyacht fleet and an ambitious family-owned shipyard rooted on the western shores of the Bosphorus.

It doesn’t seem so long ago that I went to Istanbul’s West Marina to take a look at 48.7-metre Clarity , a modern classic with bowsprit, faux stack and elegant hull lines. She was then the most recent launch from Bilgin, built with a steel hull but harking back to the romantic era of yachting.

Yildirim Bilgen, Bilgin Yachts’ sales manager, was multitasking, a smartphone close at hand as he showed me around the boat and discussed an important expansion – new sheds under construction that Bilgin would use to commission much larger yachts. The metal work would take place about 50 kilometres away in Yalova, across the Sea of Marmara, and the interiors, furniture and metal fittings would be done in another of Bilgin’s facilities in Istanbul.

A few months later, Bilgin revealed something radically different to Clarity , an 80-metre yacht concept with exterior design by Unique Yacht Design . By May 2016, Bilgin announced that the construction was underway, with several of the steel blocks for the hull already completed. “Not only does this superyacht meet the exacting performance standards of the luxury industry but [it] sets the bar for Turkey’s growing high-end yacht sector,” the shipyard said at the time about its forward-looking project.

Bilgen, still multitasking, is at the wheel of his car when I catch up with him to go over the history of the new flagship. The yard’s relationship with the client goes back more than 15 years. Bilgin Yachts delivered the first Tatiana , a 33.5-metre in 2006, followed in 2011 by a 45-metre yacht . Not too long after taking delivery of his second yacht, the owner expressed interest in discussing a larger project.

Bilgen travelled to meet the client and his team with naval architect Emrecan Özgün, founder of Unique Yacht Design. That meeting did not result in a new order, but it established a fruitful working relationship between Özgün and the shipyard. “We have been working with Bilgin Yachts since 2013,” says Özgün, whose passion for car design merged with his education in naval architecture and engineering to open doors in yacht design. He collaborated with Bilgin on 46.8-metre Giaola-Lu , 47.5-metre Nerissa (now Starburst III ) and 47.5-metre Lilium (now Snow 5 ) . Meanwhile, conversations with the owner of Tatiana continued and by 2015, he was ready to discuss a brand new project.

“As the customer knew my experience in the naval architecture and shipbuilding engineering area, he told me his expectations in terms of performance, comfort and productivity,” Özgün says. “Later on, we had a discussion about the general layout prepared for him. The most important point to him was the exterior design.”

In order to illustrate what he liked and disliked, he invited him outside of his office. “We went out on a terrace overlooking the Dubai Marina. He showed me a few yachts there and said that he doesn’t want a yacht with a high bulky appearance like these.” What he wanted was a yacht that was “sleek, aggressive, sexy,” he says, with a “bullet-like appearance.”

The owner was happy to trade volume for elegance, confirms Brahma Advani, the owner’s representative. Aside from an attractive exterior, among his priorities were a sizable pool in the beach club, a couple of cabins that could accommodate staff or guests, according to the yacht’s private or commercial use, compliance with IMO Tier III emission standards even if the rules did not yet mandate it at the time of keel laying, long cruise capability and low decibel levels for ultimate comfort.

From the get-go, they also had charter in mind. “The owner wanted to use the yacht for special conferences or board meetings besides using it for his and his family’s pleasure and also occasionally deploy the yacht on the charter market. His ultimate goal is to build a good size fleet of superyachts,” Advani says.

Back in Turkey, Unique Yacht Design worked around the clock for about three months, Özgün says. The resulting design was very close to Tatiana – a long hull with a narrow beam and attractive curves atop a sporty profile ending in a sharp bow. It also met the client’s desire for a fuel-efficient boat thanks to a displacement form developed by Unique Yacht Design, which was tank tested at the Maritime Advanced Research Centre in Gdansk, Poland.

“The Unique Displacement Hull Form doesn’t have dynamic trim at low or high speeds,” Özgün says. This form’s stability equates to efficiency. “This helped us reach 260 litres fuel consumption in total while cruising with two engines and a generator at the speed of 12 knots,” he says. This also means a range of around 7,500 nautical miles. However, if speed is required, with engines at 85 per cent load, CFD simulation and technical trials show that Tatiana can exceed 19 knots.

To meet the newest Tier III mandates that restrict NOx emissions in many areas of the world, Bilgin worked with both Rolls-Royce and Hug Engineering to come up with the most effective SCR solution available for the MTU 4000 series engines and gensets. Incorporating environmentally friendly features, incidentally, is high on the shipyard’s agenda for all new builds.

As far as its appearance goes, it has a long and pointed bow, “like a bullet” and a generous aft deck section, home to a stunning feature – in essence, a two-level beach club. The yacht’s lines incorporate wing stations that form an interesting architectural feature at the bridge level and the flush decks conceal hatches for two Castoldi tenders, four Jet Skis and mooring equipment, leaving nothing but a seamless expanse of deck forward. Emergency rafts are also hidden from view on the upper deck. A dual colour scheme brings lines into a pinch at the forward end, slimming the yacht and enhancing the pointed forward end, without sacrificing views through generous windows in the cabins and lounges. The required mast is telescopic and recedes out of view.

Although a lot of attention was paid to the aesthetics, the yacht’s operational side was not forgotten. For instance, the designer included two doors that allow the crew to oversee anchor operations and a service door for loading and unloading supplies. In total, the yacht has 10 shell doors.

Özgün says the owner contributed a great deal of ideas and he had listened carefully. “I was sure that the customer would agree with the shipyard after our presentation and so he did. He really loved every detail of the design,” he says. The size, naval architecture, appearance and the majority of the layout being settled, there remained the matter of the interior design and finessing the outer decks.

Bilgin has enjoyed a good working relationship with H2 Yacht Design . They have collaborated on five projects since 2012 and Bilgen introduced them to the client. The pursuit of pleasure is what yachting is all about and accordingly Tatian a’s interior is, says H2’s principal, Jonny Horsfield, “pretty hedonistic”. The focus was on impressive guest areas with multiple entertainment spaces, several bars, lounges, a formal dining room for up to 16 guests, a cinema as well as a private owner’s space with an office – all of this within a fairly slim envelope. “The styling is aggressive and sleek which meant that the interior had to work within this footprint yet offer everything the client wished for,” Horsfield says.

The yacht’s long lines are the first to catch the eye, but it does not take long to realise that the 110-square-metre beach club is one of the yacht’s main attractions. “This is the epicentre of the yacht and is directly connected to the main saloon via a dramatic staircase,” Horsfield says. This leisure space encompasses two pools, one above the other and two bars, one exterior on the upper level, the other on the lower deck at the forward end of the pool.

The largest pool is 8.5 metres long and nearly three metres wide (with a depth of about 1.2 metres) and occupies the lion’s share of the lower deck. When the yacht is anchored, the aft door and two side terraces unfold. “It emphasises the close connection between interior spaces and the marine environment,” Horsfield says. More light comes from reveals in the walls and small LED lights shining like tiny stars over a lounge adjacent to a shell door. Glass columns, Carrara marble and a backlit blue agate floor near the bar complement the teak deck that surrounds the pool. A cosy massage room with another shell door, for a massage en plein air , a shower and a steam room round out the luxurious space.

Backlit panels add drama to the eye-catching staircase in Macassar wood and Carrara marble that leads from the beach club directly to the entrance of the main saloon, one deck above. Here, the second pool, a large spa pool, features two skylights at the bottom, allowing natural light to shine down below. It’s worth noting that the water from the pool and spa pool is recyclable and can be stored in a heated holding tank.

In terms of design style, the owner wanted something modern and warm, Horsfield says. “The theme of the interior is based on a light but rich palette while the design is definitely crisp and contemporary in feel. There is an overall stunning interior that complements the modern exterior perfectly,” he says. “The design can be described as layers of modern luxury. We wanted to achieve an open airy feel for a clean, sleek look, so the best option was to use light and textured luxury materials.”

Accordingly, the interior is filled with silks, lots of textures – from carved carpets, many sourced from Stepevi, to panels worked with CNC machines – and accents of stainless steel and polished bronze. Light plays an important role in enhancing shapes and creating interesting shadows. Stones, such as onyx, are used in unconventional ways, for instance as headboards in several guest cabins.

Despite Tatiana’s relatively modest volume, the ceiling height is generous, 2.25 metres on the main deck and up to 2.6 metres in areas of the owner’s deck. This is not something that’s expected given the yacht’s lean exterior appearance. “All visitors are surprised when they get on the deck,” Özgün says.

This generous clearance allows for some nice features, such as a glimmering chandelier above the dining table, designed by H2 and made by Lasvit with glass rods and polished steel. Another renowned glass artisan from Bohemia, Crystal Caviar, made the light fixture in the staircase leading to the accommodations. The feature wall in the dining saloon is made with semi-precious amethyst. Counterbalancing these rich elements are more muted materials, such as European oak floors in a white finish and a light Tabu Tay with a straight grain. Details in Macassar ebony and Legnoquattro veneer on furniture add contrast. “We used quite a lot of Tabu,” Horsfield says. “The advantage for us is guaranteed quality and consistent colour, particularly if you go for a light finish.”

The furniture is either custom designed by H2 or sourced from brands such as Minotti and Boca do Lobo. Bilgin built the interiors and all fixed furnishings.

The upper deck is divided between the bridge by Simrad, captain’s cabin, officer’s cabin, staff cabin, the owner’s office and the upper saloon. This space has a welcoming surround of seats framed by decorative columns, a stage with room for a piano and a games room with a pool table by Porsche Design and, of course, a bar. The owner enjoys privacy on the top deck, accessible via a lift, with a lounge, an extensive wardrobe framing a private bath, large cabin, spa pool and terrace accessed through sliding doors. Guests are accommodated on both the main deck and the lower deck, where a gym, sauna and cinema are located.

The forward end of the lower deck and a great portion of the tank deck are dedicated to the crew quarters, crew lounges and service space, including ample cold and dry stores and a generous laundry.

“Our purpose was to create a yacht which is functional, easy to build, with all the comforts and luxury of a superyacht while having a beautiful look,” Özgün says. From the looks of it, they have ticked all boxes. And with this bullet-shaped yacht, Bilgin Yachts has hit more than one of its targets, raising its profile up high and proving itself a worthy contender in the superyacht segment.

FULL YACHT CHARTER REVIEW

Inspected by us..

Climb aboard TATIANA, one of the biggest yachts for charter in the Croatian Adriatic and have an adventure of a lifetime. Built by Bilgin Yachts, TATIANA offers the highest echelons of luxury for the true yacht connoisseur; she is also a not-to-be-missed chance to charter a yacht that is brand-new, since her maiden voyage was at the beginning of 2021.

TATIANA`s upper-tier approach to superyacht charter standards reflects in everything this luxury yacht has to offer, starting with her high-tech amenities, wonderful facilities, engineering feats and stylish interior.

Her 80 meters of length makes TATIANA the largest yacht to be built in Turkey to date, with a classical grey colour palette that helps her exterior blend into the horizon. This superyacht`s bulkier hull and incredible length enable her to super-size the deck spaces, both in the interior and the exterior. TATIANA`s superstructure profile truly is one-of-a-kind, with streamlined curves, smooth lines and sleek surfaces that are considered to be trail-blazers in naval architecture.

This divine behemoth is also an environmentally-conscious superyacht: while TATIANA is in her eco-friendly cruise mode, she can move at 12 knots and consume about 250 litres of fuel, the same level of consumption the yachting community has been used to on 40-meter yachts until now. Her enviable eco-friendly credentials grant this superyacht all the necessary classifications and certifications for a 100% clean air exhaust system, with a range of 7,500 nautical miles.

Turn precious moments into long-lasting memories on TATIANA yacht charter.

TATIANA`s designers made sure that every inch of interior space got as much natural light as possible, by putting in plenty of window surfaces, that create a wonderfully inviting, bright and airy interior. Your luxury charter experience will be curated from the minute you open your eyes and find yourself in the totally private Masters`s deck, asking yourself where do you want breakfast served.

Consider having breakfast on the bridge deck aft, taking advantage of a beautiful shimmering sea and faint islands in the distance. Enjoy the panorama half-covered with a thin veil of dissipating heat rising above the surface of the sea, beckoning travellers to explore and discover Croatia.

You could also enjoy the most important meal of the day on the upper deck aft. Sip your morning coffee as a swift cloud passes over the sun, creating a sudden shadow, which completely changes the colours of the sea for a brief moment. Be amazed by this angelic sight and feel the serene atmosphere of the Croatian Adriatic.

Looking back to your table, a wonderfully arranged breakfast offers a rich choice of classical breakfast-buffet items, like freshly-made savoury or sweet pastry, lots of fresh fruit of all shapes, sizes and types, freshly-grounded coffee, premium tea and milk, either dairy-based or plant-based, as well as Croatian breakfast meats combined with olives, native cheeses, and excellent local olive oil. Enjoy your breakfast as you plan for days ahead, wondering what you could experience on your superyacht charter holiday in Croatia.

After breakfast, choose lounging in the lower deck, enjoying the wonderfully-appointed beach club and its swimming pool. Afterwards, book an appointment with one of the members of the crew for a fantastic spa and wellness treatment.

Relax with full-body massage therapy, then go for a quick hammam session, before jumping in the crisp blue Adriatic from the hydraulic passerelle that doubles both as an observatory and a springboard for high leaps into the sea. Experience a refreshing swim as you feel your pores clearing out and the stress of everyday life leaving your body.

As lunchtime approaches, let your dedicated crew set up the alfresco dining table on the bridge deck aft, where you will enjoy delicious mouth-watering delicacies made by a team of Michelin-level chefs for the singular purpose of your enjoyment.

Wrap your lips around a paprika, tomato and red pepper salad, followed by thyme-roasted chicken with fennel & rosemary and roasted sweet potatoes. Continue with grilled chicken breasts with steamed rice, soy sauce and wok-fried cauliflower and broccoli, finishing off with a lemon, lime and strawberry granita with a mango sorbet for dessert.

After lunch, spend some time in the excellently-appointed sky lounge, where you can play an exciting game of pool. Line your shots with an incredible background of the beautiful Adriatic panorama. Play against the people from your charter party or from the members of the crew; you could even ask your expert crew to organize a tournament. The loser has to sing one song after dinner, accompanied by a professional pianist, as a part of the evening’s entertainment .

After playing pool, switch gears and sit at the games table; ask one of your hard-working crew to deal blackjack or poker. Or get into a relaxing game of chess. TATIANA yacht charter has it all, and only for your pleasure and enjoyment. If you are more into relaxing with a favourite movie or show, head on over to your superyacht charter`s cinema room, for a unique yacht movie experience.

Lie back on incredibly comfortable sofas and feast your eyes on a razor-sharp image and surround sound quality comparable to IMAX cinemas. Do all of these things before getting ready for a themed dinner party on the bridge deck aft. A formal dress code will perfectly suit the entertainment your dedicated crew has planned for this evening.

First, enjoy dishes that your hard-working chef lovingly prepared, like a spinach, sesame and lemongrass salad with parsley oil, followed by crumbed prawns with cherry tomatoes, baby spinach and parmesan. Continue with a sea bass fillet paired with basil, steamed vegetables and black pepper and finish with a chocolate fudge tart with white chocolate syrup drizzle for dessert.

Then, retire to the sky lounge to enjoy a special musical evening, perfect for post-dinner cocktails and a cigar. Taking full advantage of TATIANA`s amenities, your knowledgeable crew hired a pianist and a soprano vocalist, so they could perform a heavenly duet.

Magnificent music will fill your ears with bliss, making you enter a state of pure relaxation, surrounded by magnificent Croatian nature on the outside and TATIANA`s comfortable design on the inside. After performing some of the more popular musical notes, the artists will bid you goodbye, so you could continue with your superyacht charter soiree.

Grab a change of clothes so you and your charter party could continue your gathering in a more informal setting, either near the main deck alfresco pool or the beach club pool. Ask your crew to open the transom door, so the beach club could transform into an open area, with a view of the endless sea from a warm and enclosed pool. Let your dedicated crew serve drinks and snacks, as the evening rolls over midnight.

With some of your guests tired and ready for bed, you declare an afterparty on the Master`s deck, making full use of the private jacuzzi on the Master`s private bow terrace. Completely cut off from any intrusions, a stunning view of the black night sea and the starry sky above create a wonderful contrast, that is even more beautiful if you watch it form a warm jacuzzi on a superyacht charter like TATIANA.

For dessert, you can enjoy a ripe mango with grapefruit and lime sorbet or a hand-made vanilla ice cream with a classic tiramisu. Prepare to experience only the most fantastic culinary delights, made by a whole host of chefs and sous chefs, ready to please your taste buds on levels not reachable by similar establishments on land.

During the day, the artwork chosen to further accentuate the stylish atmosphere really complements the tons of natural light coming in through big windows on both sides, or the subtlety integrated artificial lighting. Beige colour tones, combined with azure blue patterns, polished surfaces and mirrors invite the outside in.

Electrically powered and operated canvas shades enable guests to shut off the noon sun on the bridge deck, if they so choose. A double-bar island acts as a divider between the entertainment area and the stairway placed amidship. Another day head ensures guests do not have to make the long trip to their cabins so they could wash their hands before an alfresco dining experience.

YACHT MASTER DECK

The Master deck is an innovative and brilliant addition to an already fantastic superyacht. One floor above the bridge deck, you can find yourself in a totally private deck, dedicated entirely to a sumptuous and glamorous lifestyle.

Choose living life to the fullest and start from the aft: an O-shaped island sofa complements the rest of the private aft terrace furniture, made out of a coffee table, parallel sofas in the centre and a small circular table and 3 chairs, for enjoying coffee in the morning or a nightcap while starring in the beautiful Adriatic distance.

Stepping inside, a marvellous king-size berth has the benefit of a wonderful aft view, providing a magnificent panorama. Your captain will constantly have this view in mind, always turning TATIANA yacht charter to face the appropriate cardinal direction, so as to provide you with the best sunsets or sunrises in Croatia. The tones and colours used, primarily white, grey and gold, illustrate the exclusivity and luxury of this marvellous suite.

To port is a single day bed, nestled closely near a window and providing a perfect place to read your favourite book with a view in the background; there is even a designated sitting area for meals and beverages. Continuing forward, to port is a day head and to starboard is a U-shaped sofa arrangement, excellent for relaxing in a conversational surrounding.

The centre of the interior space is reserved for the ensuite, wonderfully decorated in white marble. You can genuinely feel the coolness of the marble lowering the temperature in the ensuite, an ideal property to have on hot summer days. A separate rainfall shower and a jacuzzi bathtub both offer options for relaxing in hot water, before getting ready for dinner under the stars.

Continuing onward, a port sofa and a starboard walk-in closet lead guests to the private salon, overlooking the bow terrace. Guests can enjoy wide windows which give a 270-degree view of TATIANA`s surroundings and her cruising destination and path. Stepping outside, the marvellous private terrace is covered with teak and encircled on all sides by sofas and a large sunbed to starboard.

The cinema room uses smart artificial lighting, to create two separate atmospheres. One light setting transforms the cinema room into a gold and black private viewing room with an exclusive vibe, suited for viewing any kind of film or show.

The other light setting bathes the room in silver glass, with azure and aquamarine overtones, suiting a more serene and peaceful vibe. An enormous flat-screen TV adds to the experience of a sophisticated enjoyment of blockbusters, Netflix series or documentaries about Croatia

When it comes to accommodations, each cabin on the lower deck has its own en suite, including a day head in the foyer which connects the cabins with the gym and the cinema. TATIANA`s lower deck interior design is rich and sumptuous in feel, with stone and marble used extensively throughout the interior, to create a sense of sturdiness and stability.

Yacht Charter Accommodation: The double cabin

The double cabin features an exclusively white theme, with faint traces of light blue. Polished details and some narrow surfaces reflect everything in black, to create an impression of contrast and dynamicity. Also for your considerations are two Yamaha jet skis and an accompanying jet ski inflatable platform, so you can swap the jet skis instantly, with other members of your charter party. 4 bodies found inside the Bayesian, Mike Lynch family yacht, amid search

Four bodies were recovered inside the Bayesian superyacht on Wednesday, more than two days after it sank off the coast of Italy , setting off an exhaustive search for six missing people, including British tech entrepreneur Mike Lynch .

Two of the bodies discovered earlier on Wednesday were brought to shore. One body recovered was a heavily built man, Reuters reported.

Six of the ship's 22 passengers, including Lynch and his 18-year-old daughter, went missing after the yacht plunged under the water just before 5 a.m. on Monday as a storm swept across the area. Americans are among the missing, officials have said.

The U.K.-registered yacht belonged to Lynch's wife, Angela Bacares, who was also on board and was rescued. The tech tycoon was recently acquitted on fraud charges after a year under house arrest.

Ricardo Thomas, the ship's cook, was found dead on Monday, according to the coast guard.

The rescue mission saw a diving team, helicopters and multiple coast guard ships deployed to search the water. Fifteen people were pulled from the water on Monday, and eight were hospitalized in stable condition.

A 'black swan event'? Experts puzzle over why Bayesian yacht sank

An investigation opened by local prosecutors into the cause of the disaster is ongoing. Experts have pointed to a water spout, a tornado over the water that can travel up to 120 mph, that formed during the storm, as well as the heavy weight of ship's mast, one of the largest in the world.

The 184-feet-long ship was made by Italian ship manufacturer Perini in 2008.

Lynch set off on the cruise late last month to celebrate his acquittal on fraud charges in the U.S. that marked a decade of legal challenges, the Associated Press reported .

One of his lawyers and a character witness for Lynch during the trial were also on board and vanished when the boat went down. Authorities have not yet disclosed the identities of the four people found.

Here are the passengers who were declared missing.

Mike Lynch and Hannah Lynch

Mike Lynch, 59, is co-founder of Britain’s largest enterprise software, Autonomy, which was sold to Hewlett-Packard in 2011, and founder of venture capital fund Invoke Capital.

Sometimes known as “Britain’s Bill Gates,” Lynch was slapped with charges after HP said it had uncovered deceit and a major accounting scandal within the firm. He spent a year on house arrest after being extradited from the UK.

In early June, at the end of a 12-week trial, a San Francisco jury acquitted Lynch of wire fraud and conspiracy to commit wire fraud. He was also cleared on a charge of securities fraud later that month.

Lynch and Bacares have two daughters and six dogs, all named after engineering parts, according to the U.K.’s Sunday Times in a profile of Lynch from last month.

Lynch’s 18-year-old daughter, Hannah, was also among the missing. She was preparing to study English literature at Oxford University, according to the Sunday Times.

Hannah is the younger of Mike Lynch’s two daughters, the Times reported . Mike Lynch told the outlet that his daughters had grown up with their father being publicly accused of fraud.

Jonathan Bloomer and Judy Bloomer

Jonathan Bloomer is the non-executive chairman of both Morgan Stanley International and the insurer Hiscox, among other companies. Bloomer acted as a character witness on Lynch’s behalf during his fraud trial.

Hiscox Chief Executive Aki Hussain told Reuters in a statement that the firm was deeply shocked and saddened and their thoughts were with all those affected.

Bloomer’s twin brother, Jeremy, told BBC that he is processing the news and the family is waiting to hear updates.

“He was my elder by half an hour, so, it means a lot when you lose a twin brother,” Jeremy Bloomer told BBC. “We’ll still wait and see, so it’s fingers crossed.”

Jonathan Bloomer’s wife, Judy, is a psychotherapist of nearly three decades and former teacher. She specializes in anxiety and stress. She studied English language and literature at Homerton College in Cambridge.

Christopher Morvillo and Neda Morvillo

A lawyer with Clifford Chance, Chris Morvillo was among the team that represented Mike Lynch during his trial. Morvillo is an American citizen.

He was an assistant U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York from 1999 to 2005, and he worked on the criminal investigation stemming from the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

Morvillo was a graduate of Fordham University School of Law and Villanova University.

Neda Morvillo, his wife, owns a hand-crafted jewelry company under her maiden name, Neda Nassiri. The company’s website said she has been designing and making jewelry for over 20 years.

In a post on LinkedIn after the conclusion of Lynch’s trial, Chris Morvillo acknowledged his family for their support during the case.

“And, finally, a huge thank you to my patient and incredible wife, Neda Morvillo, and my two strong, brilliant, and beautiful daughters, Sabrina Morvillo and Sophia Morvillo.  None of this would have been possible without your love and support. I am so glad to be home.

And they all lived happily ever after…."

Divers find 5 bodies in Mike Lynch's sunken superyacht

  • Five bodies were found in the shipwreck of a luxury superyacht off Sicily's coast.
  • Six people, including British tech tycoon Mike Lynch, are missing.
  • The superyacht sank on Monday after it was hit by a sudden storm.

Insider Today

Divers searching the shipwreck of tech tycoon Mike Lynch's superyacht have found the bodies of five missing passengers.

The 183-foot Bayesian superyacht was carrying 22 people when it sank during stormy weather near Porticello, Palermo, on Monday.

Fifteen people were rescued, including Lynch's wife, Angela Bacares. The body of Recaldo Thomas, the vessel's chef, was found shortly after the yacht sank.

Lynch, his 18-year-old daughter Hannah, Clifford Chance lawyer Chris Morvillo, his wife Neda, Morgan Stanley's International chair Jonathan Bloomer, and his wife Judy remain missing.

Two bodies, one of which is that of a "very powerful man," were found in the hull of the boat behind two mattresses, La Repubblica said.

Another two were found inside the wreck of the Bayesian yacht, Sicily's civil protection agency told the BBC .

A fifth body was also found by divers inside the yacht and was being retrieved, Sicilian authorities told the BBC on Wednesday.

The identities of the bodies have not yet been publicly released.

Italian authorities are investigating the exact cause of the sinking while search crews continue to look for the missing passengers. They've also been gathering evidence for a criminal investigation, though no formal suspects have been publicly announced, the Associated Press reported .

Italy's Coast Guard said it deployed a remotely operated robot to scan the seabed and take underwater pictures and videos to reconstruct the events for the prosecutor's office.

Reuters has published images showing rescue personnel carrying what appears to be a green body bag off the port of Porticello, near the Sicilian city of Palermo:

The search and rescue operation for the six people missing has been ongoing for three days since the 183-foot superyacht capsized.

A spokesperson for the local fire department told The Independent that the search is "complex," adding that divers operate in 12-minute underwater shifts.

"We are trying to advance in tight spaces, but any single thing slows us down," Luca Cari, a spokesman for the fire rescue service, told the AP. "An electric panel could set us back for five hours. These aren't normal conditions. We're at the limit of possibility."

"It's not a question of entering the cabin to inspect it," Cari told the AP. "They've arrived at the level of the cabins, but it's not like you can open the door."

Italian news agency Ansa reported that the vessel capsized when a sea tornado, or water spout, hit the area during sudden storms.

It cited witnesses saying that the boat's mast broke while it was anchored in the storm, causing it to lose balance and capsize.

Lynch is one of the UK's leading tech entrepreneurs, having founded the software company Autonomy, which was sold to Hewlett-Packard for $11 billion.

The sale resulted in a legal battle, with Lynch acquitted on fraud charges in the US in June.

According to reports, Lynch was celebrating the acquittal on the yacht trip before it capsized.

Parlemo's municipal authorities and Italy's Coast Guard didn't immediately respond to Business Insider's request for comments.

Emma Bubola reported from Porticello, Sicily, and Elisabetta Povoledo from Piedmont, Italy.

After three days of searching the hull of a sailing yacht that sank off the coast of Sicily, divers on Wednesday recovered the bodies of four passengers who were believed to have been trapped inside their cabins when the vessel went down, officials in Sicily said.

The yacht, the Bayesian, with 12 crew members and 10 passengers, was caught in what some witnesses described as a waterspout , essentially a small tornado on water, during a sudden and violent downpour in the pre-dawn hours of Monday.

The recovery of the four bodies was confirmed by Salvatore Cocina, head of Sicily’s civil protection agency, but officials have not yet identified them publicly. Body bags were lifted from a firefighting vessel in Porticello, Sicily, on Wednesday afternoon as a large group of rescuers stood by in their uniforms.

On the dock, a crowd of reporters and bystanders watched on in near complete silence, as a church bell tolled in the background.

Although 15 people made it to safety and the yacht’s cook was confirmed dead, the fate of the remaining six people , including a British tech entrepreneur, Mike Lynch, had been formally unresolved until the update on Wednesday.

In addition to Mr. Lynch, the remaining people who had been identified as missing by the authorities were his daughter Hannah; Jonathan Bloomer, the chairman of Morgan Stanley International; his wife, Judy Bloomer; Christopher J. Morvillo, a lawyer at Clifford Chance; and his wife, Neda Morvillo.

They were part of a group of people celebrating a legal victory for Mr. Lynch, who was acquitted in June of fraud charges tied to the sale of his company, Autonomy , to the tech giant Hewlett-Packard.

The body of the yacht’s cook, Recaldo Thomas, who held Canadian and Antiguan citizenship, was recovered earlier from the water, the Sicilian civil protection agency said.

Deep sea divers with the Vigili del Fuoco, Italy’s firefighting corps, were able to reach the bodies after dealing with what Luca Cari, their spokesman, described as “very difficult” conditions.

The yacht had settled on its side, about 165 feet below the surface, and divers could only remain underwater for a limited amount of time. To complicate matters, they had to navigate through broken furnishings and electrical wiring that blocked the tight spaces inside the hull.

Five bodies found inside superyacht that sank off Sicily

PORTICELLO, Sicily — Divers recovered four bodies Wednesday from inside a superyacht that sank in a sudden storm off Sicily , Salvatore Cocina, director of the island's Civil Protection Agency, confirmed to NBC News.

Cocina later confirmed to Sky News that a fifth body had been found and was being brought to shore. One passenger remains missing.

The identities of the bodies were not immediately released. Their recovery follows a dayslong search in the deep waters off the Italian coast where British tech tycoon Mike Lynch  and several others were believed to be trapped in the hull. Fifteen of the 22 people aboard survived.

The rest had been missing since early Monday, when the Bayesian was caught in the storm while anchored off the coast of Porticello, a village near the Sicilian capital city of Palermo.

The body of the the ship’s cook, identified as Canadian-Antiguan national Recaldo Thomas, was recovered Monday.

On Wednesday, NBC News witnessed what appeared to be at least three body bags being lifted from fire department boats after they pulled into port at Porticello. It was unclear whose bodies they were. Some were later transferred to ambulances and driven away from the dock.

Lynch’s 18-year-old daughter, Hannah; Morgan Stanley International Chairman Jonathan Bloomer and his wife Judy; and Clifford Chance lawyer Chris Morvillo and his wife Neda, are also missing.

Bayesian yacht accident in Sicily

The Bayesian is owned by a firm linked to Lynch’s wife, Angela Bacares, who was among the survivors rescued by a nearby vessel after getting into a lifeboat.

Built by Italian shipbuilder Perini Navi in 2008, the U.K.-registered yacht could carry 12 guests and a crew of up to 10, according to online specialist boating sites. Its nearly 250-foot mast is the tallest aluminum sailing mast in the world, according to CharterWorld Luxury Yacht Charters.

Regularly described in U.K. media as “Britain’s Bill Gates,” Lynch was  acquitted of fraud by a San Francisco jury earlier this year, stemming from the 2011 sale of his software company Autonomy to Hewlett-Packard for $11 billion.

The Mediterranean sailing vacation was designed to be a celebration for Lynch, who brought Bloomer, who testified in his defense, and Morvillo, one of his U.S. lawyers, on the trip.

Lynch's co-defendant Stephen Chamberlain was not aboard the Bayesian, but in what appears to be a tragic coincidence, a  car struck and killed  Chamberlain on Saturday as he was jogging in a village about 68 miles north of London, local police said.

Claudio Lavanga and Claudia Rizzo reported from Porticello. Henry Austin reported from London.

Four bodies in Sicily have been found after searches inside the wreck of a luxury yacht. Body bags were seen being taken to the port of Porticello on Wednesday afternoon after the sinking of the yacht Bayesian on Monday morning.

The head of Sicily’s civil protection agency Salvatore Cocina earlier confirmed two bodies had initially been found. Two more were discovered later in the afternoon.

Mr Cocina has announced there will be an investigation at the right time. Now, however, he said the priority is to find those who are still missing.

Dozens of emergency services staff were waiting as the three body bags were taken back to the port of Porticello. Those missing include technology tycoon Mike Lynch and his 18-year-old daughter Hannah.

Among those also missing are Morgan Stanley International bank chairman Jonathan Bloomer; his wife, Judy Bloomer; Clifford Chance lawyer Chris Morvillo; and his wife, Neda Morvillo. Inspections of the yacht’s internal hull took place on Wednesday morning.

A helicopter was dispatched to help the search effort. That came as divers from the local fire service were seen entering the water with torches attached to their headgear.

A police boat and divers were also seen going into the water this afternoon. Firefighters from the Vigili del Fuoco said they have been accessing the vessel through natural entrances, without making openings.

Remotely controlled underwater vehicles have been in use today. Naval units and cave divers have also been taking part in the search, the Italian Coastguard has said.

The yacht was moored off the coast of Porticello when it sank. Vincenzo Zagarola, of the Italian Coastguard, has previously said the missing tourists are feared dead.

Four bodies retrieved from sunken yacht in Sicily

Reuters Staff

PORTICELLO, ITALY -- Four bodies were found on Wednesday aboard the sunken wreck of a yacht belonging to the wife of British tech magnate Mike Lynch, sources close to the rescue operation said.

The identities of the victims were not immediately given by the authorities. Three of the bodies were brought ashore and taken to nearby hospitals for formal identification. The fourth corpse was being taken to land as evening set in.

Britain's Daily Telegraph reported that two of the dead were Lynch and his 18-year-old daughter. Local authorities in Sicily declined to comment on the report.

The British-flagged Bayesian, a 56-meter-long (184-ft) superyacht was carrying 22 people and anchored off the port of Porticello when it was hit by a fierce, pre-dawn storm on Monday.

Lynch, 59, was one of the UK's best-known tech entrepreneurs and had invited friends to join him on the yacht to celebrate his recent acquittal in a U.S. fraud trial.

Besides Lynch and his daughter, the other people unaccounted for after the disaster were Judy and Jonathan Bloomer, a non-executive chair of Morgan Stanley International; and Clifford Chance lawyer Chris Morvillo and his wife Neda Morvillo.

Specialist rescuers have been searching inside the hull of the sunken yacht for the past two days. The victims were believed to have been trapped in cabins, which have proved extremely hard to get to, with divers only able to stay in the vessel for 8-10 minutes before having to re-surface.

Fifteen people managed to escape the yacht before it capsized in the pre-dawn tempest, while the body of the onboard chef, Canadian-Antiguan national Recaldo Thomas, was found near the wreck hours after the disaster.

The Bayesian is lying on its side at a depth of around 50 meters, apparently largely intact.

Besides the diving team, the coast guard has deployed a remotely operated vehicle to scan the seabed and take underwater pictures and videos that it said may provide "useful and timely elements" for prosecutors looking into the disaster.

The coast guard has been questioning survivors, including the captain of the Bayesian, and passengers on the yacht that was moored next to it who witnessed the ship going down, judicial sources said.

No one is under investigation at the moment, sources added.

Experts have been at a loss to explain how a large luxury vessel, presumed to have top-class fittings and safety features, could have sunk within minutes, as recounted by witnesses. The yacht anchored next to it was unharmed by the storm.

The Bayesian, which was owned by Lynch's wife, was built by Italian shipbuilder Perini in 2008 and last refitted in 2020. It had the world's tallest aluminum mast, measuring 72 meters, according to its makers.

Lynch has been referred to as Britain's Bill Gates. He built the UK's largest software firm, Autonomy, which was sold to HP for $11 billion in 2011, after which the deal spectacularly unraveled with the U.S. tech giant accusing him of fraud, resulting in a lengthy trial.

He was acquitted on all charges by a jury in San Francisco in June. Morvillo had represented him at the trial, while Bloomer was a character witness on his behalf.

Bayesian's captain James Cutfield, a 51-year-old New Zealander who survived the shipwreck, was a "very good sailor" and "very well respected" in the Mediterranean, his brother Mark told The New Zealand Herald.

Matthew Schanck, chair of the Maritime Search and Rescue Council, a UK-based non-profit organization that trains sea rescuers, said the Bayesian was the victim of a "high impact" weather-related incident.

"If it was a water spout, which it appears to be, it's what I would class as like a black swan event," he told Reuters, meaning a rare and unpredictable phenomenon.

Inside Story of Missing Billionaire Whose Luck Ran Out on Superyacht

Mike Lynch became one of the very few people to score an acquittal in his recent federal criminal case. But months later, that luck was wiped away.

Michael Daly

Special Correspondent

British entrepreneur Mike Lynch.

Henry Nicholls/Reuters

Less than half of 1 percent of federal criminal cases end in an acquittal, so billionaire Mike Lynch and his co-defendant, Stephen Chamberlain, seemed to be the luckiest of unlucky men on June 6 this year, when they were found not guilty of fraud charges that could have landed them in prison for 25 years.

But 2 months after that ebullient moment on the 17th floor of the federal courthouse in San Francisco, their fortunes took a tragic turn.

On Saturday, Chamberlain suffered fatal injuries when he was struck by a car while out for a run near his home in England.

And then, on Monday, Lynch was among the six declared missing after a tornadic waterspout sunk the 184-foot sailing yacht Bayesian, as it was anchored a half-mile off the coast of Sicily. Lynch’s younger daughter, 18-year-old Hannah, who had recently earned a place at Oxford, was also missing. So were one of the defense attorneys in the case, former federal prosecutor Christopher Morvillo, and his wife.

“In the course of 48 hours, I can’t process what has happened, but both of our clients, as well as Chris and his wife, are gone,” law partner Gary Lincenberg told Business Insider .

A paper trail indicates that the ill-fated yacht is owned by Lynch’s wife, Angela Bacares. It is apparently named after the Bayesian Inference, an approach to probability that was both the focus of Lynch’s PhD thesis and the underpinning of the software that made him Britain’s first tech billionaire.

The very fact that Lynch ever got a doctorate from Cambridge was an improbability in itself. He is the son of Irish immigrants. His mother was an intensive care nurse from County Tipperary. His father, a firefighter from County Cork, advised Lynch not to enter a profession that involved charging into burning buildings. Lynch was bright enough to secure scholarships at an exclusive private school and then a university. His genius was not so much in engineering itself, but in applying it.

He studied machine learning before it was fashionable, and co-founded a series of start-ups. One was Autonomy Technology, which he sold to Hewlett-Packard for $11.7 billion after a secret meeting with its top executives in 2011. Hewlett-Packard’s then-CEO, Léo Apotheker, had hoped to turn it from a faltering computer hardware clunker into a high-profit software giant. He ended up taking the combined companies towards an $8 billion loss.

The new CEO, Meg Whitman, alleged that Lynch and others at Autonomy had cooked the books before the sale to make it look more profitable than it was. Hewlett-Packard sued Lynch civilly in England in 2019 and he spent 20 days testifying. Then, in early 2022 , Justice Robert Hildyard issued a 1,700-page decision finding that Lynch and Autonomy had committed fraud. The Crown sought $4 billion in damages that are still pending.

At the same time, federal authorities in the U.S. sought to extradite Lynch on criminal charges. Lynch fought it for two years before he arrived in San Francisco in chains in May of 2023. He was released on $100 million bail and consigned to house arrest in a rental home with cameras installed in every room and two armed guards on duty around the clock.

The judge in San Francisco was Charles Breyer, brother of U.S. Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer. Charles had also overseen the trial of Lynch’s right-hand man, Autonomy Chief Financial Officer Sushovan Hussain, on fraud charges, in the same courtroom some months before. Hussain had been convicted. Lynch and Chamberlain seemed all but sure to suffer the same fate as their trial commenced in March of 2024.

British entrepreneur Mike Lynch leaves the High Court in London, Britain March 25, 2019.

British entrepreneur Mike Lynch leaves the High Court in London, Britain March 25, 2019.

The prosecution plodded through seemingly endless exhibits culled from 15 million financial documents and emails obtained for the case. One juror repeatedly dozed off.

“I know it’s not fascinating, but you’ve got to tell me whether you can stay awake for eight more weeks during this testimony,” Breyer said, according to The Times .

“That’s a negative,” the juror replied. “I can’t.”

The juror was replaced with an alternate and the case crept on to when Lynch took the stand on his own behalf. He testified that his first job had been cleaning floors in the hospital where his mother works.

“I’m still a demon mopper,” he testified.

He also described being Irish in England during the war with the IRA.

“You had to learn to run fast,” he said.

When it came to the decision to sell Autonomy, he said Hewlett-Packard was so anxious to make the deal that it had offered double the usual takeover price margin.

“The normal premium on the London market was about 30 percent,” he said. “HP was offering 60 percent. That would be like trying to stop a herd of elephants in terms of shareholders agreeing to it.”

His attorney, Chris Morvillo, asked what the trial had been like for him.

“It’s surreal,” Lynch testified. “I’ve heard comments from people that just don’t paint the picture of the company that I and my colleagues and friends worked at for 15 years.”

Lynch added, “I’ve sat and watched a parade of witnesses that I’ve never met and some that I may have just shaken their hand, and I’ve heard about a series of transactions I have no involvement in.”

At the end of the 11-week trial, the jury acquitted Lynch and Chamberlain of all charges. Morvillo joined in their tearful exultation at being among the lucky very few.

Chamberlain’s luck ran out Saturday with a fatal encounter with a car. Lynch and Morvillo were on the Bayesian at 4:30 a.m. on Monday when the freak storm suddenly struck. An emergency flare went up into the darkness, but the boat had sunk by the time help arrived. The body of the cook was recovered, but there was no sign of six others, including Lynch and his daughter and Morvillo and his wife.

Fifteen of the passengers and crew were rescued. They included Lynch’s wife. There was also a 1-year-old child, Sophia, and her mother, Charlotte Golunski, a partner at another Lynch venture, Invoke Capital. The mother recounted her ordeal to the Italian press, saying she had been on deck when the raging storm tore her child from her arms.

“For two seconds I lost my baby in the sea,” the mother told Giornale di Sicilia . “Then I immediately hugged her again amid the fury of the waves.”

She summoned the fury of a mother.

“I held her afloat with all my strength, my arms stretched upwards to keep her from drowning. It was all dark. In the water, I couldn’t keep my eyes open. I screamed for help, but all I could hear around me was the screams of the others.”

A man in an inflatable lifeboat pulled her and Sophia to safety. They were joined by the child’s father. And they were now Monday’s luckiest of the unlucky.
