‘Below Deck’ Charter Guests Break Silence On Low Tip Controversy

Below Deck Charter Guests Break Silence On Low Tip Controversy [Credit: YouTube]

The charter guests of Below Deck Sailing Yacht are speaking out about that low tip. In the Monday, March 14, episode, the notorious charter guests only tipped $6,500, which is the lowest in the show’s history. The charter guests are already making history for all the wrong reasons. Fans called them the worst charter guests in Below Deck history.

Erica Rose returned with her mom, Cindi Rae Rose, and her husband, Charles Sanders. Chief stew Daisy Kelliher was not excited about her returning, and the two have been in a war of words ever since. In fact, the charter guests haven’t stopped talking about their time on the yacht.

Erica Rose explains the reason for the low tip

Erica made an appearance on the Another Below Deck podcast . She explained that her fellow guests refused to contribute to their tip. The group knew they were responsible for the tip. While they were aware of the rules, they didn’t want to tip the hard-working crew members.

“The whole group is responsible for tipping. We had to pick up the slack for everyone else because no one else tipped.”

As Below Deck Sailing Yacht fans know, the crew busted their behinds to make the charter guests happy. In a previous episode, Erica’s husband Charles received backlash for calling the food “disgusting” and that he had better at a “ballpark.” He claims that producers told him to call out Chef Marco Spaziani’s food.

Below Deck Charter Guests Charles And Erica [Credit: Instagram]

The couple said that all of the guests had to contribute to the tip. If that were the case, that would’ve brought the tip to $25,000. She claims they had a serious conversation about the tip before leaving the boat. Yet, her former friends have a different story as well as the proof.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 3 crew got the worst tip in history

Both Erica and Charles got called out for their lies. Per Monsters & Critics , fellow charter guests Rhett and Janelle Flatt said they have proof of a conversation she had with Erica. Janelle took to her Instagram account to share screenshots of their text message exchange. She claims that Erica lied about the tip.

In the text message exchange, Janelle asked Erica how much they should tip the crew. Erica responded, “Our price includes tip! We can bring cash and tip extra if we want. I over tipped last time. I think prices is ($) 5000/ per person including tip!! Not per couple. [SIC].”

Erica also seemingly wrote, “So it’s like ($) 3,000 per person, the $900 required tip and then ($)1,100 airfare is how it comes out to $5,000.”

Rhett became the hero of the show when he called out Charles for slamming the food. In another scene at their beach lunch, Charles called Janelle a “b***,” Rhett approached him and threatened to punch him out. Many Below Deck Sailing Yacht fans praised him for it. Janelle had more to say on Instagram and said they were never friends of Erica and Charles.

Janelle is a hairstylist and Erica was one of her clients. Erica invited her to the yacht trip, and of course, she wanted to go. But the moment they left the yacht, she fired Erica. The two are no longer speaking.

What are your thoughts on the tip? Do you agree that it’s the worst in the show’s history? Sound off below in the comment section. Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 3 airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET, on Bravo.

Haha, sure. You understand that no one believes your made up story.

Not just the worst guests, Charles, Erica, and Cindi are horrible humans. However, producers do pull people aside and give directions for story line. Charles may be telling the truth about that one thing, especially since he praised the dinner at first. Best dinner he ever had, apparently. I wish producers would stop. It doesn’t have to be drama all the time!!!

The most classless was LaQuisah from episode 13 season 10. She requested gold steak. She was a pain in the a– 7 a HUGE glutton. You can tell that she eats at Popeyes, and Red Lobster, and would take all the shrimp even if she didn’t eat it.

Below Deck Mediterranean season 9 episode 13: Recap and more details explored

Below Deck Mediterranean season 9, episode 13 aired on Monday, August 26, 2024, at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo. In this episode, Chef Jono made several mistakes, including one serious enough to be grounds for firing, which upset the Captain. Ellie was clashing with Chief Stew Aesha Scott, and the Captain was trying to find a fourth stew and a new Chef, but neither search was successful.

The episode ended with Bri and Ellie getting along with each other as they discussed their mutual topic, Joe. There was a tip meeting at the end of the latest Below Deck Mediterranean episode, along with an announcement from the Captain.

What happened on Below Deck Mediterranean season 9 episode 13? Details explored

Below Deck Mediterranean season 9 episode 13 started with the guests facing a storm, forcing them to stay onboard. The Greek winery trip that Aesha planned earlier didn't happen. However, she got creative and arranged an "impromptu wine tasting," which worked, and guests enjoyed it.

"Aesha has some skills that you don't find on a CV. Not every chief stew can get the guests to smile when it's pouring out, and all their plans have been canceled," confessed Captain Sandy.

They were stuck at the dock for a night when crew members managed to keep the guests entertained with food.

Chef Jono: In trouble

On Below Deck Mediterranean season 9 episode 13, Chef Jono faced issues regarding what to prepare for the guests because a few had food allergies. While some guests on board requested sushi, a few couldn't eat raw food.

The first course the Chef prepared was Tuna Carpaccio, which is raw tuna. As soon as Aesha left the dining room after serving the dish, the guest with a food allergy shared,

"It looks beautiful. I would eat it if I could, but I can't eat raw fish cause it could kill me."

After learning about such a huge mistake from Chef Jono, the Captain said she would handle the situation, who then confessed,

"What the f*ck! This is unacceptable."

She then talked with the Chef and told him it was a "big screwup" and would go on her " preference sheet ." The chef admitted his mistake and apologized, but the Captain insisted that he apologize to the guests.

Captain Sandy confessed that never in her 35 years at sea had she had a chef who fed a guest something that could actually kill them. She added that it was a fireable offense. The Chief Stew, Aesha, referred to the situation as "a huge f*ckup."

Later, in the episode, Captain Sandy called the Yacht Crew Replacement.

"It's Captain Sandy, I need a new Chef. Time frame's, like, today," shared the Captain.

Ellie is getting in on more troubles on Below Deck Mediterranean

In the 13th episode of Below Deck Mediterranean season 9, Aesha also told Ellie to keep everything neat and that the white wine must be placed inside the fridge. Aesha later confessed that Ellie was a bartender on a five-star superyacht and didn't have to keep repeating herself.

Later, Aesha instructed Ellie and said, "Start clearing the plates." Ellie brought a stack of clean plates. Aesha then explained what she meant by that, to which Ellie was annoyed, and she shared that,

"I'm starting to feel like, ‘this big.' I read a lot about leadership nitpicking. Like, how does that make me try harder to please you?"

Below Deck Mediterranean season 9: A fourth stew?

Meanwhile, the Captain was on a call with the boat's owner, and they discussed getting a fourth stew. The owner agreed to her request, which Captain couldn't wait to share with Aesha.

While looking for the Chief Stew, the Captain found her eating while standing up. Captain Sandy asked Aesha if she had ever sat for a meal.

"I don't. I've got no time," confessed Aesha.

Captain then asked how she would feel if they brought another stew, which Aesha said would be amazing.

Later in the episode, Ellie was late for her shift. She came late and then asked Aesha whether she could go for breakfast.

"You start at 9:15, so you should have eaten before you started," Aesha shared.

One of the guests found Elli's phone in their cabin. Aesha was not happy about this, either.

Bri and Ellie getting along, Captain receives a text, and more

Ellie and Bri seemed to be getting well together in the latest episode of Below Deck Mediterranean . They talked about how when "Joe's out of the picture," they get along. Bri shared in the confession,

While going to bed, The Captain received a confirmation text from Norma about getting a stew. There have been no updates about the new chef yet.

Later, the Chef made another mistake: He prepared a "cookie/ chocolate cake sandwich" when he was supposed to prepare a soufflés crème brûlée.

When Captain learned about the "Dessert situation" from Aesha, she called the Chef and chatted with him. Captain Sandy confessed she would have to let the Chef go. She got the news from Norma,

"Sandy, so sorry. I can't find a chef available right now."

The episode ended with the Tip Meeting, during which, despite multiple issues with the food preferences, the crew received $25,000. Additionally, the captain shared that a new stew would soon be joining the crew.

About below deck sailing yacht.

Capt. Glenn and his comeback team Daisy Kelliher, Gary King and Colin MacRae resume their responsibilities aboard Parsifal III, along with new, dynamic crew members, as they set sail in Sardinia, Italy.

Capt. Glenn realizes that his laid-back leadership style has allowed his crew to become too comfortable and starts taking charge of quality control in the interior department, much to Daisy's dismay. In the galley, Chef Ilesha's cooking impresses the guests, but her indecisiveness and co-dependency lead to time-management issues between courses, which causes her to self-destruct. On deck, strong personalities collide, and a power struggle results in a near mutiny, as Gary clashes with his new overconfident deckhand, Chase.

Two overlapping love triangles further complicate the dynamics on-board, and a shocking hookup puts Colin, Daisy and Gary’s friendship in jeopardy.

With a near collision, fire, crew rebellion, gruesome guest injury and two different potentially season-ending engine failures, this is the most captivating and unpredictable season yet of Below Deck Sailing Yacht.

‘Below Deck’ Sailing Yacht Shares Chilling Link To Sunken Morgan Stanley Billionaire’s Boat ‘Bayesian’

The plot thickens...

‘Below Deck’ Sailing Yacht Shares Chilling Link To Sunken Morgan Stanley Billionaire’s Boat ‘Bayesian’

Much has been made of the tragic events that unfolded earlier this week off the Sicilian coast, with the Morgan Stanley international chairman initially missing before being found dead alongside tech founder Mike Lynch. Adding more intrigue to the tale, a strange link between the sunk Bayesian yacht and hit show Below Deck has been uncovered…

The Italian shipyard Perini Navi, which built the PARSIFAL III — the yacht featured in the popular reality show Below Deck that rammed a pier due to an engine malfunction — is also the maker of the Bayesian , which tragically sank on August 19.

PARSIFAL III Misadventure

Below Deck is an American reality TV series that made its debut in 2013 on Bravo TV . The show, to date, is running on season 11, with a new cast of crews on every luxury superyacht during its chartering season. Their challenges while catering to wealthy guests are depicted on the show. The PARSIFAL III , a 177-foot yacht, suffered a big mishap during an episode of the show’s second Sailing Yacht season which first aired on May 17, 2021.

below deck sailing yacht episode 13 guests

While trying to maneuver in bad weather, the yacht hit a dock because its engine broke down. In an explanation, Yacht’s Captain Glenn Shephard said:

“I was using a different maneuver mode. And there’s a computer in between the throttles and the propeller that adjusts the load on the engine. Maybe my inputs were too much for the computer and it kind of, I don’t know, froze or didn’t react in the right way. I’m not really 100 percent sure. But I was pushing ahead and it was still moving backwards, which is not normal.”

Some of the wreckage was visible floating in the sea after the accident. Luckily, no serious damage was caused in this crash. Launched in 2005, PARSIFAL III can accommodate up to 12 charter guests in a master suite, two double cabins, and two twin cabins. The yacht also has a Jacuzzi and two Open Bic sailboats for guests to play with.

Not So Lucky

The Bayesian , also created by Perini Navi, was not as lucky. Sailing in a sudden and strong squall that created too much wind and conditions for the yacht to handle, the vessel sank after its mast broke in half off the coast of Sicily near the fishing village of Porticello   in the early hours of Monday.

below deck sailing yacht episode 13 guests

Of the 22 people on board at the time of the tragedy, 15 were rescued, while six others lost their lives, among them being the chairman of Morgan Stanley International, Jonathan Bloomer, and tech tycoon Mike Lynch.

His daughter Hannah Lynch, 18, is still missing, and rescuers are frantically searching for her. Lynch was a British technology entrepreneur who achieved fame through his software company, Autonomy Corporation, which Hewlett-Packard bought for over $11 billion USD in 2011.

Below Deck Mediterranean Season 9, Episode 13 Recap: Greece Lightning

Welcome to the  Below Deck Mediterranean  Season 9, Episode 13 recap! In this week’s episode, called “Chef Woes and Cabin Blows,” the Medicane rages on. Trapped at the dock by the wild weather, the crew has to get creative with entertaining the guests. Bri and Ellie make peace with each other while Ellie’s resentment for Aesha grows. Chef Jono commits a “fireable offense,” and Sandy finally hires a new crew member. Here are some of the highlights from Below Deck Med Season 9, Episode 13.

Onboard winetasting

Stuck at the dock by the storm , the guests can’t go anywhere or play in the water. Aesha planned a trip to a Greek winery, but they had to turn back when the streets were flooded. So now the chief stew must come up with some other way to entertain them. She asks if they’d like to do an impromptu wine tasting on board, and they happily agree. Alcohol fixes everything (to a point).

Since the Mustique is stuck at the dock for the night, the interior crew has to knock it out of the park with food and entertainment. Chef Jono is struggling with what to make for dinner since a couple of the guests have food allergies. Some of them requested sushi, but others can’t eat raw food, so he has to be very careful.

Captain Sandy walks by as Aesha is “rapping” descriptions of the wine they’re tasting. It’s kind of hilarious.

“Aesha has some skills that you don’t find on a CV,” Sandy interviews. “Not every chief stew can get the guests to smile when it’s pouring out, and all their plans have been canceled.”

Everybody enjoys Aesha’s wine tasting, but now they’re hammered. Are they even going to be able to stay awake for dinner, much less be able to taste it?

Chef Jono makes a major mistake

For their first course, Aesha serves tuna carpaccio, which is raw tuna. Isn’t there a guest who can’t eat raw fish?

After Aesha leaves the room, the allergic guest says, “It looks beautiful. I would eat it if I could, but I can’t eat raw fish cause it could kill me.” Yikes! How could Jono forget that?!

When Sandy hears about the error, she’s incensed. “I’m gonna handle that,” she says, heading to the galley.

“What the f*ck!” she interviews. “This is unacceptable.”

In the galley, she tells Jono, “One of the guests … raw seafood will kill her. And it’s in front of her. That’s a big screwup. It was on her preference sheet.”

“Yeah, it was,” Jono admits. “I apologize.” Sandy tells him to apologize to the guest.

“I’m really f*cking pissed,” Sandy interviews. “Never in my 35 years at sea have I had a chef feed a guest something that could actually kill them. This is a fireable offense.”

Aesha’s devastated. “This is such a huge fuckup,” the chief stew interviews. “I should be double-checking everything for Jono. But I am spread so insanely thin right now, I don’t know how I can functionally do that.”

“I feel terrible,” Chef says in a confessional. “I don’t know how I let that slip … [Though] I also have the rest of the dinner to get through, so I’m trying not to let it throw me off too badly. But I can’t help feeling sh*tty.”

Meanwhile, Sandy’s on the phone with Yacht Crew Replacement. “Norma, it’s Captain Sandy,” she says. “I need a new chef. Time frame’s, like, today.”

Ellie gets irritated

At the bar, Aesha reminds Ellie that she needs to keep things neat. No rags left lying on the counter, the white wine should be returned to the fridge, and just generally make it look nice.

“You’re not [working] at the local pub,” Aesha interviews. “You’re a bartender on a five-star superyacht. I don’t have time to keep repeating myself. At this point, I feel like I’m a one-woman show.”

When Aesha tells Ellie to “start clearing the plates,” even I know she means to go clear the dinner table. But here comes Ellie with a stack of clean plates. Why?

When Aesha explains she meant “clear the plates on the table,” Ellie gets annoyed. “I can’t win,” she interviews. “I’m starting to feel, like, ‘this big.’ I read a lot about leadership nitpicking. Like, how does that make me try harder to please you?” Um, maybe if you could just retain some of the instructions she gives you that would help.

Meanwhile, Captain Sandy’s on the phone with the boat’s owner. She asks if she can bring on a fourth stew now that they’ve fixed the leak in the forward cabin.

He says, “Let’s make that happen.” Aesha’s going to be thrilled!

Sandy catches Aesha eating standing up again and asks her, “Do you never sit for a meal?”

“I don’t,” Aesha admits. “I’ve got no time.”

“How would you feel if we brought in another stew?” Sandy asks.

Aesha thinks that would be “amazing.” She really needs someone with experience to take the load off. She went over 18 hours the previous day without a break. That’s insane.

“Let’s see what we can do,” Sandy smiles, and Aesha hugs her with gratitude.

Ellie complains some more

Sandy sees a window in the weather and decides to get the boat off the dock. Let’s give these people what they’re paying a LOT of money for!

On top of everything else, Ellie overslept. She shows up for her 9:15 start time at 9:25. After apologizing for being late, she asks Aesha if she can go eat.

“You start at 9:15, so you should have eaten before you started,” the chief stew says. But then she relents and says Ellie can go eat. “Just clear the breakfast table first.”

A short time later, one of the guests says someone left a phone in their cabin.

“Oh, that’s Ellie’s,” Aesha says. When she returns it to her, she tells Ellie she shouldn’t be walking around with her phone. Aesha needs hers for provisioning, but the rest of the crew should leave their phones in their cabins when they’re working.

“I’ve been working my ass off this entire season,” Ellie complains in a confessional. “I am aspiring to be a chief stew, so I wonder if she doesn’t like that? Aesha seems to be taking me for granted now. She’s recognizing my efforts less and less. My chief stew, instead of mentoring me, she’s treating me like I don’t belong here.” Ellie is starting to get on my last nerve.

A dessert disaster

While cleaning the guest cabins, Ellie and Bri decide they regret ever fighting over Joe. They’re both over him.

“Have you noticed how well we get along when Joe’s out of the picture?” Ellie asks. “I regret allowing a random man to make me look like a dumb bitch. He really did go back and forth between both of us. Played with your head, played with my head. That’s f*cked up. That’s not how you treat women.”

“This is the best interaction Ellie and I have had since the beginning of the season,” Bri interviews. “I do feel really guilty about ‘the bathroom incident’ with Joe. It can just never be spoken about. Ever.” Oh, but we will .

As Sandy heads off to bed, she gets a text from Norma. “Found you a stew that could start tomorrow,” she says. “Still no chef, but I promise I’ll have someone by tomorrow.”

The 25th-anniversary dinner goes well … until they get to dessert. The guests are hoping for a chocolate soufflé or maybe crème brûlée, but Aesha is disappointed to see what Jono has prepared.

“It’s a cookie/chocolate cake sandwich [and it’s] gluten-free,” Jono explains.

“It’s a cookie on a cake,” Aesha says with dismay. The scoop of ice cream doesn’t add a lot of excitement. Come on, Jono, your job is on the line. Can’t you do any better than that? That’s underwhelming.

And the guests agree with her. “That’s not what I wanted,” moans the woman whose anniversary it is. “You know what? Just take it back, ‘cause I don’t even want it.”

“To see a cookie with ice cream on it,” she continues, “when we all had on our preference sheets ‘soufflés, crème brûlée.’ Come on! It’s our anniversary.”

Chef dodges a bullet

After the guests leave, Sandy pulls Aesha aside for a chat. “How was dinner?” she asks.

“It was fine,” the chief stew responds. “But then for dessert, he did a chocolate chip cookie … Janie was pissed. It was so embarrassing.”

“I don’t blame her,” Sandy agrees.

When Aesha leaves, Sandy calls Jono to the bridge. Uh oh. Here it comes.

“I have to let Jono go,” Sandy interviews. “The fact that a cookie was served for a 25th-anniversary dessert. On top of everything, Jonathan served raw fish to the person who could die from raw fish. I should fire him just for that.”

But just in the nick of time, Sandy gets a text from Norma: “Sandy, so sorry. I can’t find a chef available right now.” Norma might just have saved Jono’s cookies.

When Jono arrives, they sit down. “So, serving the guests raw fish,” she begins, “that’s a fireable offense. I’m not gonna do that [today]. But this can’t happen.”

“Okay,” he responds, not realizing how close he came to losing his job.

“Now the dessert last night,” Sandy continues, “[the guest] was really upset. I’m not sure why a cookie would be served. Why didn’t you do a crème brûlée or whatever was on their preference sheet?”

He says he just ran out of time. They really should have a sous chef on these superyachts. It’s not fair for one person to be expected to create such amazing food without help.

But Jono promises to bring it for the rest of the season. He doesn’t know that the only reason he isn’t fired is that there’s no one to replace him.

The tip meeting

Despite the disappointment in the weather, the dessert, and Jono’s almost killing one of the guests, the tip is $25,000. Sandy also announces that now the forward cabin is repaired, they have room for another stew, who will join them later today. Ellie looks annoyed, but Joe smells fresh meat. Ugh. Keep it in your pants, Joe.

“Where is this coming from?” Ellie asks. “Do we need a new stew?” Um, hello. Did you not notice your boss working 18-hour days while you were sleeping late?

Bri just hopes for no more drama. And lucky Iain is getting his own cabin. Bri will bunk in with Jono, Gael will return to her original cabin with Aesha, and the new girl will move in with Ellie. Good luck, new girl.

While everyone else is happy to relocate, Ellie complains that she “can’t catch a break.” This is life on a yacht, Ellie. You don’t get a private room unless you pay for it.

For her part, Aesha interviews, “Someone new coming on board is good, ‘cause I’m being spread way too thin. But I know it’s gonna affect the dynamics of the crew. Ellie is seething in her cabin, and I feel this could mark the point where things go south with us. It could blow everything up. But at this point, I don’t care. I need the help.”

And as soon as he hears the new girl is coming down the dock, Joe rushes out to meet her. Down, boy!

Below Deck Mediterranean Season 9, Episode 13 Recap: Greece Lightning

Below Deck Med Season 9, Episode 13 recap.

Chief Stew Aesha Scott serves drinks on a Below Deck Med charter.

Chef Jono has not had an easy charter season on Below Deck Med.

Elena Dubiach needs to keep it neat on Below Deck Med.

Ellie Dubiach has a lot of complaints on Below Deck Med Season 9.

Captain Sandy has tolerated Chef Jono long enough on Below Deck Med.

“To see a cookie with ice cream on it,” she continues, “when we all had on our preference sheets ‘soufflés, crème brûlée.’ Come on! It’s our anniversary.”

Chef dodges a bullet

Chef Jono might need to rethink his career after Below Deck Med Season 9.

Below Deck Mediterranean Recap: Killer Tuna

Below deck mediterranean.

below deck sailing yacht episode 13 guests

Friends, Romans, countrymen, lend me your ears; I come to bury Jono, not to praise him … sorry, what? He’s actually still alive? Miraculously, Jono proves to be immortal and survives another week. But first, Medicane Daniel sends Aesha, Nathan, and the guests back to the boat, where they’re stuck indoors. I notice there are no welcome-back drinks ready for them, which seems indicative of how Aesha has to do everything for her team. She single-handedly entertains the guests by improvising a wine tasting, which is really just a pretentious way of saying “drinking a lot of wine.”

Tonight’s theme is merpeople, so Jono decides seafood is the move. This feels borderline cannibalistic to me. Ariel would never eat Sebastian or Flounder, right? Although one of their merman costumes includes a set of rubber balls dangling by the ankles, so I don’t think anyone’s thinking too deeply about it. On brand as always, Aesha loves the gag. She says anyone who knows her well knows that she loves balls. That’s a great setup for a misdirection joke that she loves basketballs, but no, she loves her fiancé Scott’s balls. I really did not need to know this.

During dinner, I’m on the edge of my seat as Jono serves tuna carpaccio to everyone, knowing full well that Jennifer doesn’t eat raw seafood. Jennifer is insanely chill about this and even says it looks beautiful. One of the other guests asks, “Why can’t you eat it?” To which she goes, “It could kill me,” and laughs. Sometimes, all you can do in an uncomfortable situation is laugh. Due to iron overload, also known as hemochromatosis, Jennifer can only eat cooked seafood, and it was on her preference sheet multiple times. This is like a shot to the heart of Jono’s career, and it gets worse: Captain Sandy is the one to check in with the guests and discover the mistake. Now that’s a head shot.

This is a fireable offense that Sandy’s never had happen before. I’m a little surprised that she lets Aesha off scot-free. The chief stew usually double-checks things but is spread too thin and misses it. When Sandy calls Jono out, he hilariously bullshits that some people say when you use a lot of lime, it “cooks” the fish. Sandy: “No. ❤️” She reaches out to Norma at the yacht crew placement agency to look for a new chef who can start ASAP. At least the primary Pamela is too drunk to care about this attempted manslaughter, so it won’t affect the tip. It’s time to cut her off when Aesha feeds her via choo-choo train fork. Pam’s dead eyes show that the train has left the station.

Jono may have had the worst night, but it’s a rough night for everyone in the interior. Bri can’t find her black evening dress, which brings her to tears. Aesha works 18 hours straight — hello, Bravo? I’d like to report a possible labor law violation — and she still has to remind Ellie to put bar towels away. Ellie doesn’t think nitpicking is a good leadership style, and her crankiness only increases the next morning because she oversleeps. Ellie also accidentally leaves her phone in a guest room. For a second, I thought the guest was going to see something they weren’t supposed to, but the phone itself is a huge no-no. Aesha says she shouldn’t have her phone on her at all while working. Rather than acknowledge that she has room to improve, Ellie thinks she’s being taken for granted. Aesha’s hopeful that a fourth stew will solve all their problems, and now that the leak in the extra crew cabin is fixed, Sandy’s ready to hire one. Aesha is elated by the news. I bet the labor lawyers and accountants handling her overtime are too.

The next day, the weather clears enough to go out to sea for some water sports. Gael and Joe butt heads over where to tie up the Jet Skis, and Joe thinks it’s because she doesn’t like him telling her what to do. I think it’s because deep down, Joe doesn’t like that she went for Nathan, showed him no interest, and can see right through how he’s leading the stews on. In the same vein, I doubt he’d be so nice about Bri missing one of his polo shirts if he didn’t still want to sleep with her. For her part, Bri tries to keep her distance from Joe and resist temptation by picturing him as an old man. Is it the eyebrows, or is anyone else picturing Joe as Carl from Up ?

The Mustique heads back to the marina for the evening to celebrate Janie and Steve’s 25th anniversary with a black-and-white theme and fireworks. Aware that his job is on life support, Jono double-checks the preference sheets for dinner and makes sure everything is cooked for Jennifer. His calamari octopus and king crab bruschetta go over well, but the dessert is a disappointment. Evidently, Jono should’ve triple-checked their requests because they were hoping for a crème brûlée or soufflé. Instead, he put ice cream on a cookie on a slice of cake. Honestly, I’d eat it in a heartbeat, but Aesha and Janie deem it not anniversary worthy. If the tuna got him fired, the cookie was the nail in his coffin. Or should we say the cardamom in his Mexican food? Jono’s more deflated than a botched soufflé.

Yet, Jono rises from the dead to make beignets for breakfast. It seems like they’re a last gasp for air since Sandy calls Jono to the bridge after the charter, prepared to fire him. Except, Norma can’t find a chef available right now. Jono’s hand bursts out of the ground: He lives! Sandy asks why he went with a cookie, and he admits it was easier after a challenging dinner. For now, Sandy would rather have a subpar chef than no chef, not wanting a repeat of season six’s Matthew debacle. As a viewer, I would love to see the crew try to cook, but I understand the decision. And forget the after-show; give Norma at the placement agency her own spinoff.

At the tip meeting, Sandy commends the crew for bringing the energy despite being stuck at port. They’re rewarded with $25,000; even better, the new stew will join today. Joe is too keen about this news, whereas Ellie is pout city. Aesha kicks off a cabin shuffle: Iain will take the solo cabin, Bri will move in with Jono, Gael will move back with Aesha, and the new girl will bunk with Ellie. She’s like a little kid who just got told they’re going to be a big sister and is pissed about it. I’m looking forward to Ellie’s reaction when she sees that the new stew is a blonde in a unitard. That’s basically Ellie’s whole thing!

The Fate Of Below Deck Sailing Yacht After Season 5 Isn't Promising (The Show's Reputation Is Damaged)

90 day fiancé: michael ilesanmi reveals shocking celebrity friend after leaving angela deem for new family, 90 day fiancé: loren brovarnik's sarcastic response to alexei's support exposes potential cracks in marriage.

  • Seasoned captain Glenn Shephard and crew were unsure if they would go through with the charter after crashing the boat twice.
  • Erica Rose, known for her appearance on The Bachelor, is now a lawyer and a partner at the Rose Sanders Law Firm.
  • Erica and her friends made quite an impression on Below Deck Sailing Yacht, bringing drama and excitement to the show.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 2 introduced charter guest Erica Rose, and it's time to learn more about her. She joined the Parsafil crew alongside several friends to enjoy a mini-getaway in Croatia. However, the crew was getting annoyed with her and her friends, as they were more demanding than the crew expected. Second stewardess Dani even had to give one of the guests a massage because she felt stressed out due to being on a yacht 24/7, surrounded by her friends. As fans await Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5 , previous charter guests should be revisited.

Before Erica and her group of girlfriends joined the yacht, seasoned captain Glenn Shephard and the rest of the crew were unsure if they would go through with the charter after crashing the boat twice. While Captain Glenn was parking the yacht by the dock, a mechanical error occurred that short-circuited the thrusters. This caused him to crash into the pier. Luckily, no one was hurt, but a significant amount of cosmetic damage was done to the back of the boat. However, Erica Rose and her friends were able to board the Parsifal. The drama on Below Deck Sailing Yacht is just one of the reasons all the shows in the franchise are some of the best reality TV shows .

Erica Rose Was On The Bachelor

Before Erica Rose was known as the second to last charter guest on Below Deck Sailing Yacht , she was known as a contestant on The Bachelor . Erica competed on The Bachelor season 9 in 2006. Prince Lorenzo Borghese was the leading man during that season. The lawyer exited the limo wearing a bejeweled tiara to prove to the Prince that she was ready to become his princess. However, Erica was not destined to be his princess, as she was eliminated after three weeks. Soon after being eliminated, Erica appeared on the first season of the VH1 reality series You're Cut Off! and later starred in two seasons of the now-canceled The Bachelor spin-off, Bachelor Pad (via Distractify ).

Erica Rose Is A Lawyer

Since her early days as a reality star, Erica has started a family and grown her career as a lawyer. After she left The Bachelor , she attended the University of Houston Law Center for four years and later obtained her Master's Degree in Entertainment Law from Southwestern Law School. Erica and her now-husband, Charles Sanders, are partners at the Rose Sanders Law Firm PLLC. Before she found love with Charles, she was engaged to fellow lawyer Galen Gentry. They welcomed a daughter, Holland Rose Madelaine Gentry, born in September 2016. After she married Charles in 2017, the couple welcomed their daughter, Aspen Rose Sanders.

Erica may have moved on from her The Bachelor days, but she still enjoys being on camera. Her time on Below Deck Sailing Yacht may have ended, but she and her friends made quite an impression on the show. Hopefully, there will be equally exciting games in seasons to come.

Who is Below Deck Sailing Yacht charter guest Erica Rose and what is her connection to The Bachelor?

The Bachelor alum Erica Rose appears on Below Deck Sailing Yacht.

If Below Deck Sailing Yacht charter guest Erica Rose looks familiar, that’s because she has a connection to The Bachelor.

Yes, Erica is no stranger to reality television. However, she has been off-screen for a while, focusing on growing her family and building her career.

Erica Rose was on The Bachelor

Erica was a contestant on Season 9 of The Bachelor, featuring Prince Lorenzo Borghese. The season was filmed in Rome, Italy. She made it to the top 10 but was eliminated in week three of the ABC reality TV show.

Bachelor Nation fans will remember that Erica also appeared on Bachelor in Paradise during Season 2 and Season 3.

After three stints in the Bachelor Nation universe, Erica went on to be part of the VH1 show You’re Cut Off! Erica also appeared alongside her mom Cindy Rose, on Married to Medicine Houston.

These days Erica is a happily married lawyer. Erica married her husband Charles Sanders in 2017 once she got her entertainment law degree. Charles is a lawyer, too, and the couple are partners in Rose Sanders Law Firm PLLC in Texas.

Erica has two daughters. Holland Gentry from a previous relationship and Aspen Sanders with her husband, Charles. The proud mama often features her little girls on social media.

What can fans expect from Erica’s Below Deck Sailing Yacht stint?

The Bachelor alum makes her Below Deck Sailing Yacht debut this week along with several of her girlfriends. No, Erica didn’t bring her husband or daughters on the Bravo show.

Although Erica has only promoted her stint on Below Deck Sailing Yacht, fans know drama is brewing. Jess Bryant Cimato, co-primary with Erica, overhears first-mate Gary King and chief engineer Colin Macrae talking s**t about the charter guests.

After giving Colin and Gary an earful, Jess lets Daisy Kelliher know she doesn’t appreciate crew members bad-mouthing the ladies. The guests literally just got on board before the drama begins.

Erica recently shared a photo of herself with the rest of the guests and chef Natasha, so the trip didn’t go too bad. Well, at least for Natasha, it didn’t go too bad.

There is one question fans are left asking about Erica Rose and her group of friends on Below Deck Sailing Yacht.

Will they be more demanding than Barrie Drewitt-Barlow and his family?

Only time will tell.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht airs Mondays at 9/8c on Bravo.
