Over the past week, Queen Mary and King Frederik have been enjoying a royal tour across the Baltic Sea, the first of which since their successful succession to the throne. Yet, for many fans of the royals , it’s their matching outfits which has left them gushing, but it also opened an unexpected can of worms.

Many experts claim that the couples' coordinated outfits including the brown pants, beige blazers, and collared sea shirts they have been seen dressed in, are a mark of unification after a year troubled with questions over their marriage, according to the MailOnline . Yet, other royalists believe it's nothing more than a ‘clever trick’ to calm the waters suggesting there is still tension behind the scenes.

'Nothing is accidental' about the couples matching outfits believes one historian and royal house expert, Sebastian Olden-Jørgensen. He added the choice shows an act of ‘togetherness’ whilst on Danish news B.T, according to MailOnline .

Meanwhile, on social media, the co-ordinated couple have left fans in a tear. One person said 'The first pictures look completely like something from the Romance in the 18s,’ yet another commented, 'It would be cuter if he was even looking at her’.

He revealed to the MailOnline , 'There is no doubt that it fits very well with their brand, which is very much about appearing as a couple - as a royal couple and not that it is only the King who is highlighted all the time.’

Queen Mary and King Frederik started their royal vogue in high spirits as they arrived at the Royal Yacht Dannebrog on Monday, with Mary opting for an elegant white and navy outfit for the departure from Bornholm. The royal donned a smart navy fascinator, which perfectly coordinated with her white and blue striped waistcoat. Upon their arrival, the King and Queen were greeted by Bornholm's Mayor Jacob Troest in the harbour of Roenne, where they looked to travel to Bornholm in the Baltic Sea.

They then travelled to the island of Ærø , on Tuesday, where they continued to impress with their summer style sporting a smart sunhat and simple black sunglasses. Photographs reveal the couple having a splendid time on the island, with one even revealing Frederik giving a loving gaze to Mary after an afternoon stroll to Voderup Klint, a stunning viewing spot on the coast of the island. Then, later in the evening, the royal couple hosted a royal reception onboard the Royal Yacht Dannebrog.

The couple's most recent visit on tour was to Assens, a small town on the southeastern coast of Denmark. The duo stepped foot into the town, which is host to 6,000 people, on Wednesday.

What are the MSC Yacht Club perks?

All stays in the Yacht Club include priority check-in and checkout; priority disembarkation and boarding on shore excursions days; free premium alcohol and Wi-Fi packages; a bathrobe and slippers; complimentary access to the Aurea Spa thermal suite; 24-hour concierge and butler services (dining and spa reservations, unpacking and repacking, morning coffee delivery, etc.); a free daily in-cabin newspaper of your choice, delivered; and the ability to change your cruise one time without penalty.

Yacht Club cruisers are also entitled to discounts of 10% on spa treatments, 20% on specialty dining packages and 40% on spa packages.

In addition, passengers booked in the Yacht Club have access to their own dedicated bar, lounge and restaurant, as well as a semi-private outdoor bar, pool and hot tubs, all on an exclusive sun deck. The largest Yacht Club in the fleet is on MSC World Europa, offering 152 suites. The second-largest is found on the line's two Seaside EVO Class ships, MSC Seashore and MSC Seascape, which each have 131 suites.

MSC Yacht Club cabins

All accommodations in the Yacht Club are labeled as suites, even though they comprise some standard cabin types. The specific stateroom types offered will vary by ship, but in general, they range from windowless interior cabins and deluxe balcony rooms to Executive and Royal Suites with more space, walk-in closets and bathrooms with both showers and bathtubs.

New to the fleet with the line's World Class are 1,600-square-foot Owner Suites, which include multi-room layouts, walk-in closets, bathtubs and balconies, each with a whirlpool and alfresco dining area.

Also new are Duplex Suites, offering two decks of space, with the bedroom and bathroom upstairs and a dining area, living room and guest bath downstairs. These also include two private sun decks with loungers, one of which boasts a whirlpool.

How much does it cost to stay in the MSC Yacht Club?

As you might expect, the cost to stay in the Yacht Club depends on several factors, including cabin type, the length of the sailing and where you're going and when. However, in line with the rest of the brand's pricing, a stay in the Yacht Club is an excellent value when you compare it to stays in other lines' dedicated suite areas or to luxury cruise prices.

I priced out several sailings departing over the next two years on some of the line's newest and largest ships. This is what was available at press time. (Note: MSC Cruises' website will only allow me to choose a general Yacht Club designation when booking. That means a guaranteed suite within the Yacht Club, but you won't know what type it is until closer to sailing.)

The Norwegian king’s eldest child, Princess Märtha Louise, will marry American self-professed shaman Durek Verret on Saturday in a picturesque corner of southern Norway.

The wedding comes amid widespread criticism of the couple's actions and waning support for the Scandinavian royals, who have been plagued by negative reports about an unruly family member who faces preliminary domestic violence charges.

Märtha Louise, 52, and Verret, who claims to be a sixth-generation shaman from California, have attracted headlines with their alternative beliefs. She is fourth in line to the Norwegian throne but said in 2022 that she’ll no longer officially represent the Norwegian royal house in order to work closer with her American fiancé.

The princess — she has retained the title — has said she can talk with angels, while Verret, 49, claims that he communicates with a broad range of spirits and has a medallion which helps ward off spells and cure diseases.

They became engaged in 2022. Once married, Verret will not have royal titles or official duties.

In a 2019 deal, Märtha Louise and Verret agreed not to use her connection to the royal house or her title for commercial purposes.

But earlier this year Märtha Louise labeled bottles of gin with her title and launched the brand in time for the wedding, defying King Harald V's directive that she should not profit from her royal status. The label was eventually changed.

The couple also sold their wedding photo rights to a British celebrity magazine and the film rights to Netflix. The deals prompted protests from Norwegian media, which says it goes against local practices. The couple has often lashed out against the press while promoting themselves on social media.

Meanwhile Marius Borg Høiby, the eldest son of Norway’s Crown Princess Mette-Marit and Crown Prince Haakon's stepson, is suspected of causing bodily harm and criminal damage. He has confessed that he was intoxicated and was taking cocaine when he was briefly arrested Aug. 6 in Oslo. Borg Høiby, who is the son of Mette-Marit from a previous relationship, has no royal titles or official duties.

Haakon has called it “a serious matter.”

The scandal, along with the upcoming royal wedding, have seriously eroded support for the Norwegian monarchy. King Harald has remained silent about the issues.

A Norwegian political party known for its anti-royalist stance is using the recent scandals to campaign for a proposal to change the Constitution and abolish the monarchy.

“These cases show some of the fundamental challenges with the monarchy,” Andreas Sjalg Unneland, a lawmaker of the leftwing Socialist Left Party, told The Associated Press in reference to the royal wedding and the Borg Høiby case.

“Do we have to wait for a scandal that is so big that we abolish the monarchy, or can we give it a dignified ending?” Sjalg Unneland asked, adding that the nation should hold a referendum on the issue.

The proposal, expected to be tabled next month, is not likely to gain support from other lawmakers.

Saturday's wedding will be officiated following the Norwegian Church’s wedding liturgy. While it is labeled a private event and no guest list has been made public, the royal household in Oslo says Harald, Queen Sonja, the heir to the throne Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit will attend. Norway’s future king and queen will be joined by their children. Borg Høiby will not attend.

Sweden’s Crown Princess Victoria and her husband Prince Daniel also are reportedly attending the ceremony in Geiranger, 265 kilometers (165 miles) north of Bergen, Norway’s second-largest city. Denmark's King Frederik and his Australian-born wife Queen Mary, however, will not attend.

Reality stars, media influencers and TV personalities will round out the ceremony's guests in the scenic town of Geiranger, which sits on the shores of its eponymous fjord designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The Norwegian royal yacht, Norge, has anchored there, surrounded by mountains and rivers. The ship will serve as the dwelling of the king and queen, the royal household in Oslo said.

Märtha Louise has three children from her previous marriage with Ari Behn, whom she divorced in 2017 after 14 years of marriage.

Although she is the first child of the 87-year-old Harald, her brother, who is two years younger than her, will succeed their father as king.

The Norwegian Constitution was altered in 1990 to allow the firstborn, regardless of gender, to take precedence in the line of succession. The change does not apply retroactively and Haakon remains first in line to the throne. His oldest child, Princess Ingrid Alexandra, will one day ascend the Norwegian throne.

Essex Police marine unit saves storm-hit yacht in distress off coast of Clacton

A yachtsman rescued in heavy seas has praised a police marine unit for coming to his aid, saying: "I feel like my life has been saved."

Roy Harris and his partner Caroline Wilson were sailing back to the River Crouch from Kent on Sunday when a storm whipped up unexpectedly off the coast of Clacton.

With his yacht, the Samphire, damaged and taking on water, Mr Harris radioed for help to alert nearby boats and emergency services.

Sgt Alex Southgate, PC John Perry and special constable Scott Mccabe were nearby when they picked up the distress call and found the 40ft yacht near the Gunfleet Sands windfarm, four miles off Clacton.

“When Alex leapt onto the boat and said ‘You’re safe now’ it was such a comfort. I had been scared for my life," said Mr Harris

“The Essex Police Marine Unit turned up out of the blue – I wasn’t expecting them at all.

“The officers should be recognised for their bravery – they don’t just nick criminals, they save people’s lives.

“I can’t express my gratitude and appreciation enough. I feel like my life has been saved.”

“The Essex Police Marine Unit’s top priority is to keep members of our marine communities safe on land and water and a key part of our role is search and rescue," said Sgt Southgate.

“Thankfully, we were out on Operation Wave-Breaker patrols in the area that day and were able to locate Mr Harris and his partner in time.”

Operation Wave-Breaker runs from April to September each year and tackles anti-social behaviour and promotes water safety.
