Sanlorenzo SP110

Designers Bernardo and Martina Zuccon are revealing details about their new model for Sanlorenzo : the SP110.

SP stands for Smart Performance, with the model marking Sanlorenzo’s entry into the sport-boat arena. The product manager for the design is Tilli Antonelli, with décor by Piero Lissoni.

“The SP110 tries to question some of the classic features of performance boats as we have come to know them,” Bernardo stated in a press release. “While maintaining the style features that, through the years, have come to characterize this type of boat, including the aerodynamic and highly organic surfaces, we reached a compromise with Antonelli and created a boat that makes a point of the dialogue between dynamism and livability that is not normally perceptible on a yacht this size.”

The SP110 is built of carbon and fiberglass. It has a minimalist design theme, with elements such as an anchor that is partially hidden.

Sanlorenzo’s seriously smart performer

The super-sleek SP110 is making waves around the world with its triple waterjets, 40-knot top speed and 4ft draft, but Sanlorenzo’s first ‘Smart Performance’ sports yacht is as notable for its efficient propulsion and energy systems, and attractive atrium-style interior. And it’s coming to Asia, with a sale already secured by Simpson Marine.

Exterior designer Bernardo Zuccon says the knife-like profile of the SP110 was inspired by the great white shark. Sanlorenzo Art Director Pierro Lissoni says “one feels its architectural power” when inside the atrium-style interior. Tilli Antonelli, Product and Development Manager of Sanlorenzo’s SP line, describes the shipyard’s first Smart Performance model as an “elegant, powerful, absolutely unique yacht” and a “major driver of innovation”.

Certainly, Sanlorenzo’s quest for innovation shows no signs of slowing down with the SP110, its first open coupè and its fastest yacht to date.

In fact, the two-deck design is so far removed from the SL, SD and SX flybridge yacht ranges that it’s reaching a new sector of owners, including one who switched to an SP110 from a sailing boat. Sanlorenzo Asia, represented by Simpson Marine, secured a sale in this region soon after the model’s world premiere at the Cannes Yachting Festival.

Upon closer inspection, it’s a model that possesses plenty of the shipyard’s DNA along with plenty from Antonelli, an industry pioneer behind brands such as Pershing and Wider. His influence is evident in the choice of three MJP waterjets, which work with triple 2,000hp MAN V12 engines to produce a top speed of 40 knots or even 43 knots with the 2,200hp options.

They’re impressive figures for a superyacht and a credit to hull designer Marco Arnaboldi – another member of the SP110’s all-star design team – who optimised the 108ft-long, 27ft-beam planing hull for use with hydrojet propulsion.

Another key contributor to efficiency is the use of lightweight materials, with a fibreglass hull topped by a superstructure in carbon and epoxy. The hull design, waterjets and light materials all contribute to a super-shallow draft of just 1.3m at full load, so you can pretty much go wherever there’s water.

“The waterjets give the yacht its very shallow draft, incredible comfort and flexibility in navigation, with full respect for the environment,” Antonelli says. “This is what characterises SP110 and its originality.”

LEAN AND GREEN

In an era with increasing focus on fuel emissions and a huge push for greener propulsion and operational systems, even Sanlorenzo Chairman Massimo Perotti admits that the high-speed SP110 may be a more niche offering than more voluminous models from the well-established SL, SD and SX series.

But that’s where the ‘Smart’ in Smart Performance comes in. Sure, the SP110 can seriously shift when it needs to, but Sanlorenzo says its performance is matched by impressive efficiency, the driving force behind the boat’s fractional propulsion system.

To improve efficiency at slower speeds, the yacht can use just one engine or only the two outer engines, which is each paired with a steering waterjet as opposed to the central thruster.

“Personally, I think the best performance in terms of economy is at 10 knots, with the two side engines running at about 800-900rpm and consumption at about 110-112 litres per hour,” Antonelli says.

Furthermore, the SP110 incorporates a solar-electric energy system to help power onboard systems. High-efficiency 6kW monocrystalline solar panels cover the forward half of the roof and work with a package of lithium batteries to potentially run hotel functions for a few hours each day without the use of generators.

The foredeck offers access to a concealed working area

On a summer day in Mediterranean waters, over 60kW a day can be produced, which can run hotel loads for 4hrs based on an average of 15kWh. However, the deckhouse roof offers more than just solar panels, also featuring a full-width sunbathing area and even a cleverly disguised helm station that can fold down flush into the black superstructure.

OUTDOOR SURPRISES

While Antonelli is focused on the Smart Performance line, the SP110’s exterior and interior designers, Bernardo Zuccon and Piero Lissoni, are common to many of Sanlorenzo’s other series and models. In fact, Zuccon admitted it was a “complex task” finding the balance between the SP110’s dynamic performance and the need for elegant, comfortable outdoor and indoor spaces.

“While respecting the stylistic features that historically characterise this type of boat, such as the aerodynamic and extremely organic surfaces, with Tilli Antonelli we arrived at a compromise: a dialogue between dynamism and liveability not normally perceived on boats of this size,” said Zuccon, whose parents Gianni and Paola founded Zuccon International Project.

Outdoor social areas include the foredeck, which includes a five-person sunbathing area and a further island sunpad forward, while all the technical equipment is neatly hidden in the forepeak under a foldup cover. Just below, the top section of the almost-vertical bow can lift forward to deploy the retractable anchor.

However, the main outdoor zone is the vast aft cockpit or terrace, an area whose increasing importance on Sanlorenzo models was highlighted by its significant size on the SX series and which has been replicated on smaller models by sister brand Bluegame.

On the SP110, the aft terrace is an almost square space measuring about 7m by 7m, so offering about 50sqm of space for outdoor furniture, water toys and whatever else an owner might wish to use it for. It also includes not one but two party tricks, starting with the 5m-wide aft transom folding out to become a waterside swim platform and reveal integrated steps leading down to it.

However, unveiling the hidden tender is even more fun to watch. Firstly, three thin, long panels – one on each side and one aft of the outdoor furniture – open to allow a three-sided davit to electronically rise to an almost vertical position, where it looks like the posts and crossbar of a football goal.

After that, a roughly 5m by 2m deck panel pivots up and forward to reveal the tender, which is hoisted in the air, moved aft and then lowered into the water by the moving davit.

LIGHT AND BRIGHT

If the exterior makes it obvious that Sanlorenzo is entering a new sector with the SP110, the sliding aft doors show the shipyard is also not standing still with interior design.

Having already worked on the interior of the SX88, Piero Lissoni was appointed as the company’s in-house Art Director in 2018, the year of Sanlorenzo’s 60th anniversary. Since then, he has overseen many of the interior layouts of the builder’s models but the atrium-style design of the SP110 interior may be one of his finest works yet.

Whether you’re standing on the aft terrace, swim platform or even the dock, you have a clear view through to both the lower lounge and the main deck above.

Both decks are connected by what Lissoni describes as a “hyper-technological staircase” to starboard and both are far more relaxing, comfortable and welcoming than the minimalist exterior might suggest.

Antonelli is full of praise for the connectivity of the outdoor and indoor areas. “The SP110 is designed to be social,” he says. “When one guest is reading a magazine on the main deck, another is watching a movie in the lower lounge and others are sunbathing or playing on the aft deck, they can all communicate. They’re in separate areas, but they’re all connected.”

Inside, Lissoni themes include long sight lines, big windows, large openings and clear deck spaces that can be dressed by owners how they wish. Sanlorenzo prides itself on its customisation, which is illustrated by the interior of hull one, Almax , being notably different to the furniture layouts on the model’s original deck plans.

In essence, the main deck is designed to start with an open saloon, while forward is a dining area flanked by huge sliding doors on both sides for a pleasant cross breeze and beautiful sea views.

On Almax, a port side door leads to a day head and a large galley to starboard, while forward is a zen-like helm station, with a single, adjustable helm seat and a simple sofa and foldable table to starboard. To port is the staircase to the crew quarters, which has a captain’s cabin and two twins.

On the lower deck, the interior starts with a lower lounge in a design reminiscent of the larger Bluegame models. However, instead of three steps down from the aft platform, it’s five on the SP110, so there isn’t the visual connectivity to the aft deck you might hope for.

Like the main saloon, the lower lounge can be dressed and laid out to the owner’s taste. On Almax , this includes a bar and leather chair to starboard, and a carpeted side to port with sofas facing the mirrored wall, which features a cleverly disguised TV screen.

A central hallway leads first to identical VIP suites on each side, each with a forward-facing bed and en-suite bathroom, while forward to port is a flexible guest cabin, also with en-suite.

The master suite is on starboard side and features an inward-facing bed, with an elegant walk-in wardrobe aft and the en-suite forward.

When Massimo Perotti summoned his press conference in 2018, at Düsseldorf boot, held by Pershings’ and Widers’ father Tilli Antonelli, the idea was to unveil electric diesel and hybrid projects. And the question was: “Ok, electric, but any Open?” After three-year research, what Sanlorenzo need for a new product in their own style, and one to build her, here we are with SP 110: a new, shocking, unprecedented product, displaying best technology and perfect sustainability. SP stands for Smart Performance. Smartness everywhere, in design, layout, hull. And details, of course.

A five-specialist team was set up for the result: Tilli Antonelli for general conception, Bernardo and Marina Zuccon for design and layout, Piero Lissoni for décor, high speed magician Marco Arnaboldi for hull and propulsion. The team was Perotti’s winning weapon to launch the nth successful product, bound to join the best Oscar prizes in nautical industry.

Sanlorenzo SP110

A sporty cut is found for the first time on a Sanlorenzo boat, which doesn’t go with losing the brand’s fil rouge. “it was hard job to create a new style” says Bernardo Zuccon “we drew back on the yard’s history on the one hand, on the other one we designed a new recognizable identity to naturally combine new design processes with a familiar conception of range and products”.

The Studio cooperated with Tilli Antonelli, whose name made history in boating, nowadays Sanlorenzo product and development manager. The other natural connection was with architect Piero Lissoni, the yard art director. “SP 110 tries to challenge the typical canons of high-performance boats, some of them at least. Still respecting their historically characteristic features, such as aerodynamic and organic surfaces.

And the compromise was found, with Tilli Antonelli: a boat where dynamism interacts with liveability, essential in this kind of boats the former, higher than thought on them, the latter”, adds Bernardo Zuccon. As imposed by the yard’s philosophy rather than commercial strategy, the boat appears simple and minimal, in many of her aspects. The hidden air vents for instance, stylistically following the glass bend. Or the disappearing anchor, with its ingenious system for expulsion and retraction, both solutions suggested by Marco Arnaboldi skillfully integrated within the design by Bernardo Zuccon. Zucconi penned an equally stunning internal layout, which somehow recalls Bluegame’s latest proposals, Sanlorenzo’s renowned property.

The living area stretches on two different levels, using the lower deck aft area. “A strong relationship between inner and outer space is felt onboard”, says Martina Zuccon, “the fundamental synergy between guests inside and outside was our basis to create a hermetic shell easily opened for space relationships. The terrace descends to water, and all technical information to lower ladder and walkway are hidden, nothing is seen.

The boat was modelled on this balance between motion and stillness: this element is hermetic while moving, it is closed and compact. Aero and Hydrodynamic performances are the core of the project, yet everything opens up when the boat is at anchor. A door opens from the cockpit to generate the ladder leading to the beach, to descend to the sea. And the cockpit itself is differently set up to become an extremely enjoyable area”. The cockpit, again, is the central point for the boat’s liveability.

The dining area can be separated from the kitchen, wall on the left, both with a solid or a see-through closure, which open the view on the bridge. Next page, the bridge. Electronics onboard have -apparently- reduced it to two large screens to control everything. The reversed windscreen, Bluegame style, makes the room look much bigger.

The five metre-distance between the gunwales, its lowered position to make the guest even close to water, the direct access to the living room through a completely opened glass door, make this area absolutely unique on a boat of this category. Featuring a very flexible lounge area, it easily adapts to different moments of life onboard. A tender can be laid beneath the walkway, which clearly disappears when not needed thanks to a beam-oriented invisible crane; this allows total fruition of the space, down to the sea level.

The kitchen is another highlight onboard, on the main deck between the living room and the bridge; it can be closed by thick or translucid walls, the latter allowing to visually reach the bridge through the glass, offering a space widening perspective. The luxury minimalism Piero Lissoni is excellent at creating characterizes furniture, perfectly embracing the project general philosophy. The challenge was to keep a refined elegance without indulging on details, sticking to a substantially essential finishing.

The same approach was kept for the interiors,, lighter materials were used especially in toilets, where a lava-like stone was used instead of marble. “I tried to bring the other models print to this sporty one, said Lissoni, open spaces, interior-exterio connection, and high technology. One of the crucial elements is the double layer aft, which makes the main deck talk to the lounge on the lower one, through a hyper-technological staircase”. The hull was a fundamental step in SL 110 creation.

It was designed by Marco Arnaboldi, then optimized to waterjet propulsion. The latter brings considerable advantages compared with traditional propeller propulsion, being less affected by the boat weight variations and therefore more flexible. Studying water lines allowed for a surprisingly efficient hull, over 8 metres wide and 33 long in total. The doube edge flank reduces width at waterline to increase performances and comfort even in rough sea, as well as a major volume to use upwards.

Several solutions were also devised to reduce weight, and therefore enhance sustainability, performance and consumption. Lighter materials for instance, like stratified glass for the wide glass surfaces, covering nearly 80% of the boat. Glass resumes the hull tint outside, to make the whole surface homogeneous, while remaining bright and lit inside. “The entire hull and the deck are built in hybrid carbon-composite sandwich, explains Arnaboldi, to reduce weight without diminishing resistance; I have widely used this kind of technology and techniques all over my career. Sustainability and fuel saving have been so much dealt with lately.

the mid ship master cabin, with its prow oriented restroom, which also provides a noise reduction element between the suite and the crew area. The ceiling dark slats and the light ones close to the bed are Piero Lissoni’s signature, who uses them to visually enlarge volumes or pieces of furniture.

The smaller weight ensured by lighter and finely manufactured material abruptly decrease CO2 consumption per mile, such a frequently heard topic”. SP110 is equipped with am energy recycling system, based on 6KW mono-crystal high efficiency solar panels and a set of lithium batteries to keep hotel functions onboard active without using generators.

The deckhouse design has been studied to make room for the panels without altering the boat’s aesthetic balance. Three V12-2000 Man are found in the engine room; 12 90° V-cylinders for 2000hp, only weighing 2380kg each, for a perfect 1,62 kg/kw ratio. They are clearly coupled with two MJP 550 CSU side waterjets, directable and completed by a 550 central booster.

This power, along with the hull, reduced weight and waterjet propulsion, easily allows SP 110 to reach 40-knot maximum speed. Considering that each engine consumes 280 liters at 30-32 knots (75% of its power), 12000 liters ensure a 400nm range. Three-engine propulsion system proves economical as it allows to only use two, without the central booster, for normal sailing.

Giochi raffinati di asimmetrie e di luce: le ammiraglie a motore pronte a stupire il Salone

Tanta innovazione nelle proposte in mostra quest’anno: sono due unità della Sanlorenzo e una del marchio Maiora del Next Yacht Group

Il superyacht SL120 Asymmetric della Sanlorenzo, ammiraglia a motore del 64esimo Salone Nautico

Salgono sul podio delle ammiraglie a motore del 64esimo Salone Nautico , rispettivamente il Sanlorenzo SL 120A (36,92 metri) al primo posto, l’Exuma 36 di Maiora (36,90 metri) al secondo posto e il Sanlorenzo SD 118 (37,75 metri) al terzo posto.

Partiamo dal SL120 Asymmetric prodotto da cantieri Sanlorenzo di Ameglia , che in questi anni, come sanno bene gli appassionati del settore, si sono conquistati per caratteristiche e produzione il titolo di “Ferrari del mare”. Prima di raccontare la barca, vale la pena fare una parola su questo concetto di “asimmetria” portato avanti dal gruppo ligure a partire dal 2019. La natura, noi stessi, le nostre case, gli oggetti che il genere umano costruisce sono asimmetrici.

E molto spesso l’armonia di un corpo o la funzionalità di un oggetto è determinata proprio da queste asimmetrie. Con questa linea di yacht, Sanlorenzo punta proprio a conciliare armonia e funzionalità, con design non elegante ma non convenzionale. Gli yacht della Sanlorenzo si articolano in quattro linee (“range”) differenti: gli SL (come il 120 di cui parliamo qui) che sono gli yacht plananti - quindi come sanno gli esperti con una particolare forma della carena fa sì che la barca plani sull’acqua, rimanendo sulla parte superficiale, e facendo quindi diminuire l’attrito e la resistenza dell’acqua - lunghi da 24 a 38 metri; gli SD, semidislocanti ispirati alle linee dei transatlantici degli anni Trenta, da 28 a 38 metri; gli SX, crossover che mescola vari stili, e la generazione SP che concentra tutte le parole d’ordine progettuali della Sanlorenzo , ossia sostenibilità, comfort ed esclusività.

Con i suoi quasi 37 metri di lunghezza dunque l’SL120 Asymmetric è il secondo modello di maggiori dimensioni della linea SL, ed è nato dalla costante ricerca del cantiere sul concetto di spazio per garantire la massima vivibilità a bordo.

Si tratta del risultato dello sviluppo di un’idea del designer automobilistico Chris Bangle (che molti ricorderanno negli anni Duemila per aver rivoluzionato le linee della auto Bmw, che più o meno nei tre decenni precedenti erano cambiate poco o nulla).

Questa idea è stata portata avanti dai tecnici e designer del cantiere, e definita da Bernardo Zuccon dello studio di architettura romano Zuccon International Project. Sul Sanlorenzo SL120 Asymmetric la configurazione appunto asimmetrica viene applicata specificamente nella zona living (il “salotto” dello yacht) sul ponte principale di sinistra realizzando da un lato un’ampia sala da pranzo con vetrata a tutt’altezza e dall’altro un salotto vero e proprio che si apre su una terrazza sul mare.

Tra le altre particolarità del Sanlorenzo SL120 Asymmetric, i 15 metri quadrati della zona living esterna di prua alla quale l’armatore ha accesso dalla propria cabina, e che può essere allestita come prendisole oppure con una Jacuzzi che prende il posto del divano a prua della tuga. Sempre in tema di spazi sono 45, non pochi insomma, i metri quadrati del beach club, cioè le aree dello yacht che digradano sul mare, e questo grazie alle terrazze laterali abbattibili.

Il Sanlorenzo SL120 Asymmetric può accogliere 10 ospiti con sei persone d’equipaggio. È motorizzato con due motori Cat da 2.400 cavalli o con due Mtu da 2.637 cavalli: raggiunge la velocità massima rispettivamente di 26 e 27 nodi (circa 50 chilometri orari). Potrà essere visitato allo Stand H105.

All’insegna della luce è invece la seconda proposta del Salone in tema di ammiraglie a motore: il Maiora Exuma 36. Meno di tre mesi dopo il varo eccolo sulla passerella della 64esima edizione della kermesse genovese.

Maiora è uno dei due marchi del Next Yacht Group di Viareggio (l’altro è Ab Yachts). L’Exuma è lungo 36,9 metri, ultimo di una serie di successo che coniuga grande vivibilità a bordo con le prestazioni che derivano dalla Ab Yachts, che dei due marchi Next è quello famoso per i suoi yacht assolutamente sportivi.

Costruito in composito, l’Exuma 36 è frutto dell’esperienza del cantiere, che da 50 anni propone yacht che si distinguono per volumi, stile e prestazioni.

Il nuovo Exuma 36 è all’insegna della luce e del contatto con l’ambiente naturale grazie alle vetrate a tutta altezza nei saloni che realizzano estesi spazi in osmosi tra interno ed esterno. Per esempio sul ponte superiore, il salone si può trasformare in un flybridge (cioè quell’area nella quale è collocata la zona prendisole e una postazione di guida, tipica delle barche plananti) di oltre 130 metri quadrati.

La luce è protagonista, oltre che nei saloni, anche nelle cabine come in tutti gli interni realizzati su misura secondo i gusti dell’armatore, che ha la sua suite lungo tutta la larghezza dello scafo a prua del ponte principale, mentre quattro cabine matrimoniali per gli ospiti si trovano invece al ponte inferiore.

Notevoli gli spazi dedicati al tender, con il garage laterale che può accogliere un’imbarcazione di 6,5 metri e ai vari “giocattoli” d’acqua nel secondo garage di poppa. Motorizzato con tre unità Mtu da 2.000 cavalli e dotato di propulsione a idrogetto, il Maiora Exuma 36 raggiunge i 35 nodi di velocità massima: 65 chilometri orari, prestazione inusuale per uno yacht di ben 170 tonnellate. Sarà visitabile allo stand H115.

Terza ammiraglia proposta è di nuovo uno yacht asimmetrico della Sanlorenzo: parliamo quindi del SD118. Qui il cantiere ligure porta questo concetto progettuale anche sulla gamma di yacht semidislocanti. Primo modello a esibire questa organizzazione ideata da Zuccon applicata al suo ponte superiore è questa barca di 35,75 metri di lunghezza.

Alla particolarità dell’organizzazione asimmetrica che sull’upper deck realizza, a dritta, un salone direttamente affacciato sul mare, il Sanlorenzo SD118 aggiunge ampi spazi esterni con la zona di poppa, e il suo beach club che si sviluppa su quasi 20 metri quadrati, grazie alle murate laterali che si aprono sull’acqua.

Altro elemento distintivo del Sanlorenzo SD118 è l’area living, che si sviluppa su due livelli direttamente collegati tra loro attraverso il passavanti (la parte laterale del ponte di coperta) lungo la destra dell’imbarcazione, che dalla zona aperta verso poppa arriva alla zona relax di prua.

Il passavanti di sinistra invece conduce all’ingresso e al disimpegno che precede la suite armatoriale collocata a prua. Per gli ospiti, al ponte inferiore sono a disposizione quattro cabine matrimoniali mentre tutti i compartimenti di prua sono riservati agli alloggi dell’equipaggio e ai locali di servizio.

Quanto alla motorizzazione il Sanlorenzo SD118 può montare una coppia di motori Man da 1.400 o da 1.650 cavalli per velocità massime di 19 o di 18 nodi (circa 35 chilometri orari). Sarà visitabile allo Stand F151. —

16 settembre 2024 – Dal 19 al 24 settembre Sanlorenzo torna a Genova per il 64esimo Salone Nautico, il primo appuntamento italiano della nuova stagione nautica.

Saranno nove gli yacht che il cantiere metterà in mostra, ma due in particolare rappresentano la novità su cui la maison italiana della nautica ha deciso di puntare in questo inizio di stagione: si tratta di due modelli della Business Unit yacht, che segnano un’evoluzione delle rispettive linee, SL86A per l’asimmetrica e SP92 per la Smart Performance .

Al loro fianco, una selezione di yacht che hanno segnato la storia del brand e rappresentano al meglio l’eccellenza del gruppo in termini di confort, sostenibilità, performance, vivibilità e connessione con il mare.

Sviluppato in sinergia con lo studio Zuccon International Project , che ne ha curato le linee esterne e il design interno per la prima unità, SL86A testimonia una nuova evoluzione dell’applicazione del concetto di asimmetria , che ha l’obiettivo di massimizzare gli spazi interni ed esterni e assicurarne una maggiore fruibilità così da trovare soluzioni abitative inedite ed ottimizzate , capaci di mantenere una viva e costante relazione con il paesaggio marino esterno. Il tutto conservando intatte l’eleganza e lo stile distintivo di Sanlorenzo.

Dal punto di vista delle linee esterne, la vera innovazione dello yacht risiede nella configurazione della poppa , dove non ci sono scale visibili. Questo design minimal si fa portavoce della rivoluzione asimmetrica di Sanlorenzo: nascondere le scale alla vista significa rendere più omogeneo il layout  a poppa, dove l’introduzione di un elemento di trasparenza garantisce piena connessione fra chi sta nel pozzetto e le persone che nuotano a poppa della barca, sfruttandone la convertibilità.

Un’altra intuizione di successo applicata allo yacht è stata ridurre al minimo l’ingombro dei collegamenti verticali: l’eliminazione della scala che collega il pozzetto al fly aumenta lo spazio disponibile e consente di dedicare l’intero Main Deck alla convivialità degli ospiti . Ne nasce così una grande zona giorno pensata come un open space, dove un ampio salone a poppa è collegato tramite il passaggio di sinistra nave ad un nuovo spazio, unico nel suo genere: la zona dining di prua customizzabile, uno spazio aggiuntivo, dedicato alla vita di bordo, che nessuna barca di metrature similari può vantare . Nel complesso questo layout riduce al minimo le barriere visive ed esalta la grande vetrata che da poppa a prua crea una connessione privilegiata con il mare.

Infine, con SL86A anche gli spazi esterni risultano ampliati e maggiormente fruibili , grazie anche due ampie zone prendisole, una a prua e una integrata nella tuga.

Con SP92 Sanlorenzo conferma la propria volontà di consolidare la ricerca nel segmento delle barche performanti e sportive . Nata dalla collaborazione con lo Studio Zuccon per il design esterno e con l’architetto Piero Lissoni, che ne ha curato l’interior design, SP92 vince la sfida di applicare al nuovo entry level il design tipico della gamma, ispirato al minimalismo e alla purezza delle linee , valorizzando ulteriormente la sportività e l’equilibrio all’imbarcazione e mantenendo intatti l’impareggiabile stile ed eleganza.

Fin da un primo sguardo colpisce l’ampia zona di poppa a disposizione dell’armatore : una beach area di quasi 45 mq personalizzabili con un portellone a scomparsa che nasconde il garage. Il ponte di coperta è ancora più vicino all’acqua per consentire la più profonda sinergia con l’ambiente marino, le grandi superfici vetrate perimetrali alla tuga fanno risaltare l’eleganza degli interni, ampliandone il volume, e consentono di valorizzare al massimo la connessione con l’esterno, abbattendo le barriere visive. Con un approccio del tutto inedito per un’imbarcazione di questo genere, gli spazi interni si distribuiscono poi su 4 livelli, caratterizzati da soluzioni che valorizzano l’ampiezza e la vivibilità degli spazi e rafforzano la stretta relazione con l’ambiente marino circostante.

Infine, SP92 unisce le caratteristiche di uno yacht altamente performante con l’impegno di Sanlorenzo per la sostenibilità . Dalle particolari geometrie della carena, che permettono di ottimizzare il coefficiente di resistenza alle velocità più utilizzate, alla progettazione degli elementi strutturali, all’impianto fotovoltaico con cella monocristallina ad altissima efficienza, fino alla scelta degli arredi, realizzati con materiali compositi e tecnologie aeronautiche, ogni componente dell’imbarcazione è stata pensata per minimizzare i consumi e ridurre l’impatto ambientale. Tutto ciò, permette a SP92 di consumare, a velocità di crociera, circa il 12-13% in meno rispetto alla stessa imbarcazione realizzata con i normali processi produttivi e materiali tradizionali.

Gli altri modelli al Salone Nautico di Genova 2024

Oltre alle novità rappresentate da SL86A e SP92, Sanlorenzo porta a Genova anche alcuni dei suoi yacht più iconici, che meglio rappresentano le diverse e innovative gamme che il cantiere mette a disposizione degli armatori:

  • SP110, innovativo open coupé, primo della sua linea, capace di unire sensibilità green, comfort e ineguagliabili performance; per le soluzioni all’avanguardia adottate ha ricevuto proprio quest’anno l’importante riconoscimento Compasso d’Oro 2024 da parte dell'ADI -Associazione per il Disegno industriale.
  • SL96A e SL120A , che incarnano la filosofia dell’asimmetrico per la loro capacità di ridisegnare gli equilibri di bordo, ampliando le volumetrie interne ed esterne, offrendo una maggiore vivibilità e una migliore connessione con il mare.
  • SD90 e SD118 , due modelli della linea di yacht semi dislocanti che esaltano la vivibilità a bordo attraverso la flessibilità degli spazi interni, e che consentono grandi autonomie di navigazione che permettono di raggiungere anche le destinazioni più lontane nella massima tranquillità e comfort.
  • SX88 e SX100, alfieri della linea SX, con cui Sanlorenzo propone una innovativa sintesi tra il motoryacht classico con flying bridge e la tipologia explorer; due esemplari di una gamma che ha rivoluzionato il concetto di vivibilità in mare.

Nel suggestivo spazio del Waterfront di Levante progettato da Renzo Piano, gli yacht Sanlorenzo si affiancheranno a quelli dell’altro brand del gruppo, Bluegame, che condivide i valori di eccellenza, innovazione e passione.

Da oltre 60 anni Sanlorenzo è un’ icona del Made in Italy riconosciuta a livello mondiale, grazie alla produzione di motoryacht su misura e di altissima gamma , che combinano qualità, design e cura artigianale con le soluzioni ingegneristiche e tecnologiche più avanzate e sostenibili.

Il cantiere, primo mono-brand al mondo nella produzione di yacht e superyacht oltre i 24m, nasce nel 1958 a Limite sull’Arno, nei pressi di Firenze, da due maestri d’ascia, Gianfranco Cecchi e Giuliano Pecchia. Nel 1972 viene rilevato da Giovanni Jannetti, che nel 1999 ne sposta la sede ad Ameglia (SP). Nel 2005, Massimo Perotti – forte della ventennale esperienza nel settore – raccoglie il testimone acquistando l’azienda. Sotto la sua gestione Sanlorenzo conosce una crescita straordinaria: i ricavi netti da nuovi yacht passano da 40 milioni di euro nel 2004 a 840 milioni di euro del 2023. Nel 2019 la società si quota sul segmento Euronext STAR di Borsa Italiana.

Oggi, la Business Unit Yacht di Sanlorenzo (in composito da 24 a 40 m) e la Business Unit Superyacht (in metallo da 44 a 73 m) sono distribuite su 4 cantieri: La Spezia, Ameglia, Viareggio e Massa.

Il forte impulso all’innovazione che ha caratterizzato la visione aziendale ha permesso alla società di introdurre nel corso degli anni numerose soluzioni che hanno cambiato profondamente il settore dello yachting, come le terrazze a scafo, il layout asimmetrico o il concetto di open space a bordo . Fondamentale in questo percorso è stata la stretta collaborazione con il mondo del design e dell’architettura, sviluppata affidando la realizzazione degli interni delle imbarcazioni a firme autorevoli quali Rodolfo Dordoni, Citterio Viel, Piero Lissoni (dal 2018 Art Director dell’azienda), Patricia Urquiola e Studio Christian Liaigre.

Se design, innovazione e arte sono stati i driver del decennio 2010-2020 nella visione di Sanlorenzo, per la decade sino al 2030 il focus è dedicato a sostenibilità e rivoluzione tecnologica, attenzione alla filiera e servizi dedicati alla clientela.

La società ha delineato un percorso chiaro verso la carbon neutrality, la " Road to 2030 ", che si concretizza in accordi strategici in esclusiva con i più grandi player mondiali nei settori della mobilità e dell’energia sostenibile , quali Siemens Energy e Rolls-Royce Solution GmbH - Global Marine (MTU), per lo sviluppo delle soluzioni più innovative e a minore impatto ambientale per gli yacht di Sanlorenzo e della controllata Bluegame, come il metanolo verde e l’idrogeno, che rivoluzioneranno nei prossimi anni il mondo della nautica.

Nel 2024 saranno raggiunti due importanti traguardi legati all’innovazione tecnologica e sostenibile di Sanlorenzo. Il varo del Superyacht 50Steel , con la prima installazione del sistema Fuel Cell alimentato da idrogeno riformato direttamente a bordo dal metanolo verde,  per la generazione di corrente elettrica che va ad alimentare i servizi di hotellerie - risultato dell’accordo di esclusiva con Siemens Energy e certificato dal Lloyd’s Register - , e le consegne del tender Bluegame BGH , con propulsione esclusivamente a idrogeno e a zero emissioni, che a ottobre parteciperà all’America’s Cup come “chase boat” di supporto sia per il team New York Club American Magic sia per il team francese Orient Express.

In linea con i suoi valori identitari, l’impegno di Sanlorenzo per la sostenibilità e la promozione della cultura del mare si esprime anche attraverso due progetti di grande prestigio.

La Fondazione Sanlorenzo, voluta dalla famiglia Perotti, che, nata del 2022, realizza interventi finalizzati a sostenere le isole minori italiane e a migliorare le condizioni economiche e sociali delle comunità che vi abitano, a cominciare dai loro membri più giovani.
