Return and Refund Policy

Payment & cancellation policies.

We hold reservations with a 50% deposit of the charter. We charge the full boat price if you cancel within 72 hours of the charter. It is recommended that you reserve your day on the water prior to coming on vacation, especially between November and July.

Payment balance is due at the completion of the trip.  We accept Cash, Visa and MasterCard. * Please note that we charge a 3% processing fee on all credit card transactions.

If you’re interested in taking a boat out on your own time, we recommend yacht rentals in the British Virgin Islands.  These rentals provide you with a luxury yacht you can take out whenever you please, giving you more flexibility to enjoy your vacation the way you want.  These yacht rentals start around $350 per day, with weekly and extended rates available if you want to make the most of your time on the water.  While you don’t need any certifications to rent a yacht, we do require you to fill out a sailing survey to determine your level of experience before agreeing to a yacht rental.

For a truly unique experience, we can customize your private day sail for your convenience.  With so many Islands just a short sail away, we offer a variety of itineraries and destinations to suit your needs. Sail to the top-rated sailing attractions with us to snorkel and hike, such as Norman Island, Peter Island, Copper Island Beach Club, Willy T, the Baths and lastly White Bay, Jost Van Dyke.

We are able to start your day sailing adventure from any Island where you may be vacationing in the British Virgin Islands.

We offer private charters for many occasions:

The catamaran charters typically start at 10am and the power boat charters start at 9am.  Both return to the dock by 4pm.

On our private charters we offer an upgraded mid-morning snack menu

In addition to our regular snacks, we have the following available. Please choose two from the following selection for the entire group. ($30 per person).

• Mango salsa bites (with avocado and goat cheese served in a golden pastry)
• Shrimp cocktail
• Homemade hummus with pita bread and vegetables
• Grilled shrimp with melon and pineapple salsa, served with a French baguette
• Jerk spiced chicken wings
• Bite sized chocolate truffles or eclairs (served on the afternoon sail home)

We prefer cash payment on the day of the charter and can process credit cards which will incur a 4% convenience fee

A 15% gratuity will automatically be added to the balance due on the day of the sail. Please bring cash for gratuity.

The Bight Being the prime anchorage on Norman Island, The Bight has an awesome sheltering as it hosts a lot of sailing charters.  The eastern end of the harbor possesses reefs that are perfect for snorkeling. Extending for over a hundred yards, the reef is healthy as it floats above the sponges and the garden of sea fans. This prehistoric site has a lot to show when it comes to the beauty of nature.

BVI Sailing Charter Here, the bay is very calm and it’s a wonderful place to enjoy snorkeling. You will have an awesome experience of snorkeling side by side with sea creatures like the rays, sea turtles and you may get to see a moray eel. It’s a beautiful spot with lots of nature to see. There’s a field of over a hundred orange sea stars among many other exciting attractions. The Norman Island Caves Though this Island is popular for its history of having lots of treasures buried, it is also an enjoyable spot for snorkeling, which also offers a different booty for snorkelers. It’s just a short trip away from the Bight where you get to see a school of friendly yellow tails, blue tangs, sergeant majors and much more as you pass through the caves. To have a total experience of the caves, a flashlight would be necessary as you go through exploring the caves shimmered with a delicate coating of orange cup coral and red sponges. The Indians This is a part of the National Park Trust and it is known for its series of jagged rocks off the Norman Island. It is a great place to enjoy snorkeling with a difference and also a place to find a mooring buoy. It is usually visited during the day, as a lot of cruisers come in here to spend several hours of the day exploring the Indians. Among its many attractions are 4 cone-shaped rocks of about 30 -40 ft rising above the surface of the pristine water. The fourth is separated, having a narrow channel where a large school of fish pass through. This spot is rich with a variety of reef fish and also the harmless jellyfish during the summer. Magnanimous in beauty, its features include the sea fans and corals being complemented by the ray of sunlight which brightens the colors and enhances the overall beauty. Buttonwood Bay This bay simultaneously serves as a snorkeling spot and an anchorage. It possesses a shallow coral reef of about 20 yards off shore and an in-depth of 8 ft. Its slope extends to about 18 feet and vertically returns to a depth of 40 ft. It also has an array of small marine life. The view of fish and the enticing noise made as they swim gives an exotic feel that you can only experience to understand. The Wreck of the RMS Rhone Being one of the most impressive shipwrecks in the Caribbean, the Rhone sank in 1867 off the Salt Island and before then, it was known to be the pride of the Royal Mail Steam Packet Company. It broke into two when it hit Black Rock during the storm and sunk. It now sits in 3 sections on a sandy base serving as home to various species of fish. The Rhone has become a marine park and a part of the BVI National Park Trust. It's not just a cool spot for snorkeling as a lot of diving takes place here too. Manchioneel Bay This bay is an anchorage serving as a home to the Cooper Island Beach Club. It has a wonderful sight of beach sand and palm trees with a lot of attractions on the islands to its west. The dinghy dock is a u-shaped reef with plenty of fish activities and fast flowing currents in the channel between Cooper and the Salt Islands with a proximity to the open sea. Manchioneel bay is rich with a variety of fish such as parrot fish, butterfly fish, blueheads, clownfish, among many others. At the sandy bottom, you may find sea stars, rays, and seahorses. It’s a perfect spot for snorkeling. Cistern Point On the south of Manchioneel Bay is the Cistern Point – a place where you can take your dinghy to enjoy a wonderful experience of snorkeling. You can anchor your dinghy on the line in-between both buoys as you engage in snorkeling. Around the reef, you will find a lot of reef fish, crabs, large barracuda, etc. you may be lucky to come across one or more nurse sharks.  Alice’s Backside Located on the northwestern tip of Ginger Island, Alice’s Backside has not been inhabited so it remains a good stop by as you sail towards Cooper Island or Virgin Gorda. It has just 2 buoys which are usually occupied by commercial dive operators, but if you are lucky to find an open buoy – it is worth taking a stop on your sailing charter. The beauty of this place is what makes it special. It has a huge sand patch that is dotted with large dots of brain coral as well as mushroom coral heads.   The Baths The bath is highly recommended as you plan your sailing charter around the BVI. It's known for its lovely attractions especially the tremendous boulder formation in Virgin Gorda’s northwest shore. It has a great landscape which awaits the small caves formed by the boulders which were once scattered by ancient volcanic activities. Large pools of water are formed as the sea washes between the huge rocks, making the pristine water sparkle as sunlight beams on it. The huge granite boulders make up tunnels and cervices as the meet towards the sea – making a home of a large school of tropical fish. Snorkeling from the Devils Bay to the huge rocks of The Baths is a great adventure you should consider. Great Dog This is another good stopping point for cruisers as they sail from North Sound to Jost Van Dyke. Here you will enjoy snorkeling in a spectacular way as you anchor on the Southside of Great Dog. The reef is parallel to the island towards east-west, approximately about 100 yards from 10 ft to 60 ft. it is a great habitat for crabs, lobsters, hordes of reef fish, etc. as you will find a lot of them in cathedral-shaped grottoes. Monkey Point You’ll find this beautiful rocky outcrop on the Southern tip of Guana Island. As you anchor at the National Park mooring buoy, you will notice that your vessel is gathered by yellowtail snappers and hordes of blue striped grunts. Snorkeling here is very interesting, as you swim towards shore – you will notice that the yellow tails will curiously come towards you hoping to adopt you as one of their own. Enjoy the experience of an exciting moment of swimming behind the sea turtles among other creatures to have a feel of the underwater life.

Planning your route…..

Below you will find an itinerary which is intended as a guide to help you plan your trip around the British Virgin Islands. It’s good to have an outline of places you would like to go and things you would like to see. However, we do advise you to remain flexible and allow for the unforeseen.

Once you’ve arrived at our base you will receive a full chart briefing, tailor-made to your trip. Moreover, we’ll talk you through all the ‘must-see sites’, things not to miss, and obstacles to avoid. Additionally we’ll fill you in on all our personal favorites! We will give you a good idea of which route to take based on your group, the weather and any events taking place. Of course you’ll need to decide if you want to join in the action or stay away from the crowds.

You will be provided with a ‘Cruising Guide to the Virgin Islands’ and a chart of the local area for use during your trip. A copy of The Cruising Guide can be purchased from CruisingGuides.com or you can receive a free digital version from onlinecruisingguide.com.

SAMPLE ITINERARY FOR THE BVI:

The Bight at Norman Island makes the perfect anchorage to head for on your first night. After crossing Sir Francis Drake Channel you will sail past The Indians and Pelican Island. Dead ahead is a  protected anchorage to grab your first overnight mooring.

The Bight makes such a great first night stop as it is well protected, has loads of moorings, and offers good snorkeling. You’ll also find a lovely restaurant in the left corner called Pirates Bight and the historic Willy T, which is on anchor. Once you are secure on your overnight mooring, jump in the dinghy and make your way over to The Caves. You’ll find a splendid National Park site with natural caves to explore and teeming with sea life, therefore a great first snorkel.

As the sun is dropping in the sky, you’ll want to return to the boat, scrub up and dinghy ashore for dinner. Pirates Bight is a lively, family-oriented beach bar and restaurant. On the other hand, you could opt for the Willy T. This famous floating bar and restaurant made a name for itself many years ago. They offered a free T-Shirt to anyone who jumped off the top deck naked! Health and Safety stepped in to prevent this ritual but it still has a reputation for being fun and noisy. It’s not for everybody but if you are looking to party and have a good time, this a must do.

At first light, motor straight over to the Indians, as it is close enough to leave the sails at rest. Once you’ve picked up a National Park mooring buoy you can leisurely take in the spectacular rock formations before snorkeling. Take in the lavish corals, an array of sealife and colorful sponges which contrast with the rocky ledges and steep walls that rise to the surface.

Next, sail to Great Harbor, Peter Island. Here you will pick up a mooring for the night and either dine at Ocean’s 7 or fire up the BBQ. Peter Island has 5 gorgeous white sand beaches and offers great snorkeling and swimming with turtles popping up throughout. Just off of Key Point you will find one of the newest dive sites, established in 2019, the sunken original Willy T. This an underwater pirate-themed shipwreck playground for divers, complete with skeletal pirates going about their daily business. Don’t miss this one!

Following breakfast, sail to the wreck of The Rhone, sunk in 1867, just off of Salt Island for a stunning morning dive/snorkel. Next, tack up to Cooper Island in the early afternoon and grab your overnight mooring in Manchioneel Bay. Then swim over to Cistern Point for more snorkeling, relaxing on the beach or chillin’ by the bar at the Cooper Island Beach Club. For the evening, you can either dine ashore at the restaurant (be certain to call for reservations) or barbeque on your boat.

*Due to the plentiful turtle grass on the sea bottom, there is a strict ‘no anchoring’ policy in effect at Cooper Island. So be sure to get there early for a mooring or reserve one first thing in the morning.

Get an early start and tack up the Sir Francis Drake Channel to The Baths on the southern end of Virgin Gorda. Once there, pick up a National Parks mooring, dinghy part of way in and tie off at the dinghy line provided. From there you and your crew will need to swim to the beach. Do pay attention to the flag system on the beach  there is a north swell.

You can spend the whole day exploring the tunnels, caves and crystal-clear pools through the maze of massive boulders. By the way, they have been resting here for literally millions of years! Enjoy a little lunch on board before heading back across the channel towards Marina Cay. Although Pusser’s no longer have a presence at Marina Cay, there is still amazing snorkeling and swimming to be had. Another option is to stay at Scrub Island in the resort’s marina and enjoy their fantastic 2 story pool and restaurants.

Today you’ll be heading to North Sound, Virgin Gorda where you will find a little something for everyone. Why not break up your sail with a stop at The Dogs? An excellent snorkeling and diving site as with all National Parks, it is a cluster of three small islets.

After lunch, onward up into the North Sound, being sure to use the well-marked north entrance and not the shortcut next to Mosquito Island. Your destination, Leverick Bay, has everything that a sailor or landlubber could want. The amenities include: a full service spa that can even accommodate you aboard, a complete marina, pool, restaurant, beach bar, live entertainment most nights, water sports, shopping, and a market for provisions plus a deli. In fact, there’s too much to list, definitely worth a stop over!

If weather permits, sail to Anegada early in the morning (leave by 9 AM!), which is an easy 2-3 hour trip from the North Sound due North. Be sure you called the office first to get the OK!

There is only one anchorage and make sure you go in between the red and green entry markers. By the time you’ve picked up one of the 30 mooring buoys, you and your crew will be ready to explore. Choose either a taxi or rented car for the day to visit Loblolly Bay, Cow Wreck and Anegada Beach Club. In addition to the beautiful white beaches, you will fall in love with the Roseate Flamingos, rare rock iguanas, manmade conch islands and splendid plant species like sea lavender. The fantastic outer reef, Horseshoe Reef, is rich in marine life and perfect for snorkeling or diving and dotted with shipwrecks. Anegada is the most scenic watersports playground in the region, especially for kiteboarders and paddle boarders alike.  And for Dinner….? Lobster of course!

As the sun rises get set to sail west, downwind, towards Jost Van Dyke. It’s important to realize that this will be your longest sail, therefore it would be a good idea to stop for a morning snorkel at Monkey Point, Guana Island.

Given that Monkey Point is another national park, you’ll find an abundance of marine life. As a matter of fact, yellowtail snappers, bluestriped grunts and yellow jacks, along with turtles and tarpon call this home. Next, continue to Great Harbor on Jost Van Dyke, home to Foxy’s where they are well known for live music and barbeques on the weekends. With this in mind, it makes for a great stop for the whole family. In fact, you can pick up your overnight mooring, then jump in the dinghy and head around the point into White Bay. Enjoy a ‘Painkiller’ at the Soggy Dollar Bar or a Delirious Donkey at Hendo’s Hideout before heading back around to Great Harbor for dinner.

Last but not least, you’ll have a long upwind sail ahead, so leave early (ish). You will be sailing around the West End of Tortola and up the channel to BVI Yacht Charters at Ritter Marina, Road Town by noon. Remember to give us a call before you arrive in order to check your docking details. Subsequently, we’ll have a taxi waiting once we have refueled you at our fuel dock and checked the boat back in with our team.

The British Virgin Islands (or BVI) are a collection of islands in the Caribbean, just East of Puerto Rico. They have been dubbed the “playground for the rich and famous” and are undoubtedly the perfect setting for relaxing and luxurious yacht charter holidays.

Comprising over 50 stunning islands, most visitors will be familiar with the main locations: Tortola, Virgin Gorda, Anegada, and Jost Van Dyke.

This itinerary guide will help you plan your trip to get the most out of your experience and ensure you don’t miss anything.

Our proposed route begins from Norman Island and concludes in one of the smallest and most interesting spots, Jost Van Dyke.

Arriving in the British Virgin Islands and embarkation at Norman Island

Most BVI visitors will arrive at Terrance B. Lettsome International Airport (previously known as Beef Island Airport).

You may also fly to St Thomas earlier and explore the area before making your way to Norman Island, where your yacht charter, crew, and captain will be waiting to welcome you on board.

This privately owned and uninhabited island is said to have inspired Scottish author Robert Louis Stevenson’s Treasure Island . It is a heaven for snorkeling enthusiasts, with options whether you are a beginner or not.

The association and history of piracy have led to rich pirate folklore.

Day 1 – Norman Island to Peter Island

As you sail from Norman Island , you’ll first notice the serene blue-green water. It’s like a dreamy swimming pool that goes on forever.

While on Peter Island , enjoy time lounging under the palm trees, or if you prefer something more active, snorkeling around the reefs.

Day 3 – spanish town to mountain point.

From Spanish Town, we make our way north to Mountain Point , between Saddle and Long Bay.

This lesser-known spot is home to the Kodiak Queen , a sunken WWII warship that has recently been transformed into an artificial reef.

A perfect spot for recreational diving and educational activities for children and adults.

Day 4 – Mountain Point to North Sound

The world-famous Bitter End Yacht Club is a must for watersport activities, as is a visit to Saba Rock , the iconic acre and a half islet, perfect for an evening cocktail.

Types of Charter Yachts

Day 5 – North Sound to Anegada

From North Sound, it’s time to head even further north. Anegada is the third largest barrier reef in the world and host to the famous BVI full moon parties .

The name Anegada was given by the Spanish and translates to “Downed Land” for its flat terrain.

The highest point is only 28 feet above sea level. Its dreamy, powdery beaches go on for miles, while the coral landscape makes this a perfect spot for underwater explorations.

The island is known for its fresh seafood, especially lobster , which you’ll find on offer on every menu.
