SCYC Marina on Long Beach Island

Membership at SCYC provides access to one of the most convenient and affordable marinas on Long Beach Island. Our marina has over 80 slips and can accommodate boats up to 25 feet, jet skis and wave runners, and everything in between!

LBI Marina Details

Surf City Yacht Club’s Marina is conveniently located centrally on Long Beach Island, NJ close to the causeway bridge and intercostal water way, providing unfettered access to Manahawkin Bay.

The marina has 80 plus slips ranging in sizes suitable for boats up to 25ft. Short term transient slips are available as well, subject to availability.

The boat yard also has dry slip spaces for boats and Jet Ski storage on trailers. Winter storage is available for the off season as well.

The Marina and Boat Yard amenities include:

• Men’s and Women’s Restrooms with Shower facilities
• Two 2500 lb Jib Cranes
• One 1,500 lb Jib Crane
• Trailer storage
• Boat and Jet Ski Storage
• Kayak Storage
• Access ramp for Jet Ski, Kayak, and SUP launching

Surf City has more full time residents and commercial establishments than any other Long Beach Island borough. It's development and contemporary make up have been strongly influenced by its location at one end of the causeway bridge. Everyone who visits LBI knows Surf City, whether you stay there or head north or south after crossing the bridge. It is also home to the Surf City Yacht Club .

Beach Badge Information

Badges are needed on the ocean and bay beaches for everyone older than 12. The season runs from mid June through early September. Beach badge fees:

seasonal - $35

weekly - $17, good from Saturday through Friday

Seniors 65 years young and over, no badge needed (proof of age IS required)

Other Beach Information.

The lifeguards are on duty from 10 AM to 5 PM, daily, through September 1, 2008.

The beach badge booth is open every day from 9:00 AM until 4:30 PM - every day.

Beach Access

The ocean beach is accessible from all the side streets that end at the beach. Parking is available on most of these streets.

The bay beach is located at 15th Street/Barnegat Ave.

Public restrooms are at the Borough Hall (9th St and Long Beach Boulevard).

A flagged surf fishing area extends north from the 23rd Street jetty to the 24th Street lifeguard station.

A flagged surfing area is located from the south side of the 1st Street jetty to the South 2nd Street lifeguard station. Surfers must wear leashes.

The Surf City YC is proud to be hosting the 46th Junior Commodore's Regatta on Friday, June 30, 2023. We are looking forward to a full day of racing, regatta t-shirts, lunch, post-race refreshments, awards, and FUN!! The classes invited this year are Optimist Dinghy (R/B/W), Sunfish, ILCA 4 (Laser 4.7), ILCA 6 (Laser Radial), C420 and RS Feva. 

Please be advised that registration will be online only via this clubspot site. the entry fee is $40 for singlehanded and $60 for doublehanded boats if received by june 21, 2023 - there will be a $10 late fee for entries received after that date. the first 80 entrants will receive a regatta t-shirt, this is one of the longest running junior regattas in new jersey and is the traditional kick-off of the lbi season., for further information, please contact junior commodore haley temme or andy temme at [email protected].
