Welcome aboard the 2020 Princess R35 "Little Princess". A combination of stunning design, quality and race-bred technology, the R35 is a revolutionary performance experience at all speeds. Twin direct injection V8 petrol engines with variable valve timing provide exceptional levels of torque and responsiveness to safely power her to an exhilarating 50 knots: the fastest-ever Princess.

Her windshield is a sweep of curved glass, tuned using Computational Fluid Dynamics. Together with deployable side wind deflectors, the airflow moves cleanly above the cockpit and passengers’ head levels to create a neutral ‘bubble’ enabling you to ride, protected from the wind, without getting wet. The aerodynamically tuned twin air outlets on the transom help supress any back spray on the stern of the boat. Aft of the cockpit a sun-pad invites you to soak up the sunshine before you step down to the elegantly proportioned swim platform to cool off.

Inside, the Princess Design Studio has thought outside the box. Traditional materials and craftsmanship combine with state-of-the-art manufacturing techniques to deliver an unrivalled experience for up to 8 people. Triple hand-stitched helm seats place you before twin 17” bespoke touchscreens from which you assert command of all engine performance and onboard living data. Below deck, wrap-around windows with carefully considered aerospace beadlighting surround an innovative screen that displays a panoramic view from the bow. Her well-equipped galley is complimented with a U-shaped sofa and dining table that can be converted to a double berth.

The R35 is the first Princess R Class performance sports yacht, with an impressive speed range of 45 – 50 knots making for a truly exhilarating experience on the water. Designed and hand-built by Princess Yachts International in Plymouth, England, she combines revolutionary performance with stunning design and quality, encompassing the recognisable Princess brand with a new breed of yacht. The R35 delivers a unique on-water experience at all times with power and handling at the forefront of the design.

Designed in partnership with the world-famous BAR Technologies and Pininfarina, the all-new R35 brings a craft unique to Princess and to the current yachting market. Combining the very latest in advanced technology and naval architecture, this game-changing yacht with its unique Princess Active Foil System (AFS) delivers the fastest and most efficient Princess boating experience to date.

Her powerful V8 petrol engines accelerate to an adrenalin-filled 50 knots, and when combined with her full carbon fibre constructed hull make for a smooth and efficient ride. Whether you’re slicing through the seas at top speed or cruising at a gentle 20 knots, you’ll find consistence in her stability, comfort and performance. The R35 is a symphony of curves and edges, with flowing lines and a contemporary eye-catching look. From her proud bow to the elegant swoop of her stern, you can’t help but attract admiring glances on the water.

ROOM TO ENTERTAIN

Not normally associated with sports yachts, the R35 has a wraparound Esthec walkway providing easy and safe access between the spacious cockpit and the bow. In the cockpit, a large U-shaped sofa provides ample entertaining space to relax, unwind and socialise with a smart removable table for dining. A large sunpad aft of the cockpit allows guests to soak up the rays whilst being able to socialise with the group on board. As for technology, you won’t find yourself short on board. Three beautifully upholstered sliding helm seats allow you and your guests to be up close to the action. Twin 17″ Volvo Garmin touchscreens display all engine and onboard data through a bespoke suite of interface pages, designed exclusively for Princess. The user-friendly system allows you to connect with the vessel, monitoring engine data, managine onboard environments and giving control and visual feedback of the AFS with electric switching.

LIVE IN LUXURY

Below deck, there is a deceptively spacious cabin with lots of natural daylight provided by wraparound windows. A wet room with a head and galley ensures comfort at sea, giving you the necessities you need to enjoy a home from home. The dinette seating with table converts into a double berth for overnight adventures, giving great flexibility in living space on board this sports yacht. The painstaking attention to detail recognised with Princess Yachts is certainly apparent in the design of the R35, from the forward facing camera on the bow providing a live feed to the Naim innovative audio system throughout, every little thing has been thought of. A choice of interior colour palettes and the finest materials create a bespoke and luxurious space to relax in, away from the elements and secluded.

Princess Yachts R35

Widely known as the leader in express yachts and luxury motor yachts, the design team at Princess has created what they are calling an entirely new class of yacht - the Princess R35. Described as the ultimate dayboat, the R35 has the Princess touch when it comes to styling and comfort on board, but the construction and speed is what will blow you away. This cutting edge model is built using carbon fiber which results in a much lighter day yacht. Add in twin V8 Volvo Penta 430HP engines that pushes the R35 to over 50 knots and you have one exhilarating experience. The Princess R35 will be the fastest model to date and can be a perfect complimentary day cruising yacht to your larger motor yacht or M-Class superyacht.

In their effort to break the mold in the luxury day boat market, the Princess team partnered with both BAR (Ben Ainslie Racing) Technologies and Pininfarina to help incorporate the latest in advanced technology and naval architecture such as the new AFS System. AFS, which stands for Active Foil System, helps to deliver the 50 knot speed while also making it extremely efficient in effort and fuel consumption. The foils on the R35 actually reduce water resistance by up to 30% and the R35 has a computer on board which is constantly calculating the pitch, roll, and heave acceleration through a high-resolution IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit) with consideration of boat speed, engine revolutions, steering input, and user-selected modes. All of these inputted measurements into the computer are all factored together to automatically adjust the port and starboard foils' positions independently of each other by plus or minus 5 degrees, creating the ultimate driving experience. The three models in the captain's controls from the helm include Optimal, Sport, or Rough Weather options, each with their own algorithm that is constantly adjusting itself to the ocean's conditions to achieve the best possible foil position almost instantly. Positioning itself based on these conditions results in the hull and foils meeting the water at the most ergonomic contact area at any speed for increased stability, efficiency, and comfort. Combined with the carbon fiber hull and the revolutionary, new Princess paint process (which saved over 650 lbs.), the R-35 weighs less than other day yachts in its class. By adding in the speedy V8's and the new foil system, owners will feel like they are driving a luxury sports car on the water.

While the stylish exterior and sporty performance are enough to get excited about, Princess also managed to create an exciting interior on the R-35 unlike any inside accommodations seen in its class. The cabin is incredibly spacious and boasts a very well-equipped galley and lounge area with wrap-around seating and a pedastal table. The table can be lowered to create a double berth if needed along with an en suite head. Windows line the interior along with a skylight for added ambiance when below deck.
