For the fifth season of hit TV series Below Deck , the luxury yacht was bigger and more luxurious than ever before: 56.2m/184.5ft motor yacht THE WELLESLEY was named THE WELLINGTON on the show, and here is the tour through her cabins and cigar room right up to the sundeck – almost as good as being there yourself!

The Interiors

Built in 1993 by Oceanco , she received and extensive refit in 2016 that refreshed her appearance inside and out. Luxurious marbles are used across the decks, accompanied by plush leather furnishings and impeccable joinery in a range of high quality wood varieties.

The formal dining room is separate from the main salon for a more intimate dining experience between guests. A high-glass circular table sits in the centre of the room and the seating arrangement can be altered for up to 12 guests.

The inviting main salon is one of the first areas guests and visitors will encounter: Velvet sofas and armchairs form a cosy conversation area at the centre of the room, surrounded by mahogany panelling and top notch technology for entertaining day or night. Lighting plays an important part in the ambiance, and in addition to the numerous ceiling spotlights there are table lamps that fit seamlessly with the art deco-inspired surroundings.

What would be the skylounge aboard most vessels is the cigar room aboard this superyacht! Situated on the upper deck aft, famous cigar smokers of the past century adorn the walls of this distinctive gentleman’s lounge. An entire wall cabinet is dedicated to vintage cigars and a choice whiskeys accompanied by crystal glasses. Overstuffed leather armchairs are placed in the centre of the room and the widescreen TV for the latest sports and a large library of films. A desk in the corner lets the room be used as an office by charter guests who need to keep an eye on business matters.

The Exteriors

The main deck aft is unusual in providing a raised aft area extensively furnished with sofas, armchairs and drinks tables for outdoor relaxation in the sunshine or shade. Steps lead down to the grand alfresco dining area, and a staircase leads to the lower deck and the beach club in the stern.

Working out on the aft deck

The upper deck aft is fitted with a massive sunbathing area along the stern that can be covered by a bimini shade for use throughout the day. Farther forward, the seating arrangement provides comfort and great views as guests unwind with drinks and savour the fresh air.

Personalised massage on board

Those looking for the Jacuzzi will find it on the sundeck forward, surrounded by plush sunpads on both sides. Guests can soak up the sunshine on the sun loungers along the stern too, while the expert chef prepares a delectable lunch and cocktails are served from the wet bar.

The Accommodation

The accommodation is placed across the decks, with a Master suite on the upper deck benefiting from elevated views. White panelling and mahogany woods add to the sense of space and elegance with a simple and clean appearance. The room has an abundance of space for a king-sized bed and a lounge in front of a massive widescreen TV, and the en-suite bathroom is just as opulent with marble floors and wall panels.

Guest cabin

The twin cabin aft of the Master suite is the only cabin on board not to have its own sofa, although it does have large plush beds and its own en-suite.

Since the 2016 refit, the main deck forward has changed from an observation room to become the second VIP suite. Here the occupants have a gorgeous light-filled space thanks to the skylight panels arranged in a semi-circular formation, and at night these can be left open for stargazing or covered for complete privacy.

Master suite

The lower deck has the original VIP stateroom amidships and this highly desirable cabin is more the equivalent of a second Master suite: The full beam affords an abundance of space with a king-sized bed at its centre, a wall-mounted widescreen TV, a lounge to starboard and a desk to port. The en-suite bathroom has a bathtub in addition to a shower, and it connects through to the walk-in-wardrobe, which in turn leads back into the bedroom.

A double and twin en-suite cabin are also placed on this deck and both provide a generous amount of space with a sofa and widescreen TV for relaxing in comfort at the end of a busy day.

Additional Benefits

The collection of water toys onboard is vast, encompassing everything from high-speed jet skis and Seabobs aboard this Approved RYA Water Sports Centre, to Scuba diving equipment and inflatable and towable toys. The water slide will be a hit with guests of all ages, and when the group wants to stay on board there is a range of gym equipment including yoga mats for exercise, fresh air and panoramic views.

Among the crew there are trained jet ski instructors and a professional massage therapist, so guests can spend the morning learning how to use the water toys and exploring along the coast before returning to a delectable lunch and an afternoon of sunbathing and treatments.

Meet the Below Deck season 10 cast: who's who in the Bravo series

It's time to meet the cast of the superyacht St. David.

Below Deck season 10 key art

It's time to set sail on the largest boat in Below Deck history! Below Deck season 10 features the massive 197-foot superyacht St. David with Captain Lee, the "Stud of the Sea" at the helm.

In the 10th season of the beloved Bravo franchise, the St. David calls the port of St. Lucia home. Captain Lee has two familiar faces with him this season in Chef Rachel Hargrove and Chief Stew Fraser Olender. Together they'll navigate a new crew.

Bravo has provided brief bios for the returning crew members as well as the newcomers. So let's get to know the cast of Below Deck season 10!

Captain Lee Rosbach

Below Deck season 10

"Captain Harold Lee Rosbach has spent more than three decades in the yachting industry. Born and raised in landlocked Michigan, he discovered his untapped love for the water while managing restaurants in Turks & Caicos. It was then that an acquaintance invited him to serve as a mate on a sailboat delivery to earn extra cash. At 35, Lee obtained his captain's license and left the restaurant business behind to pursue his newfound passion. Since then, the Running Against The Tide author has commanded more than a dozen super yachts. Lovingly known as the 'Stud of the Sea,' Lee values the special bonds he forms on deck and always puts the safety of everyone on board above all else. Lee is excited to return to the Caribbean this season with familiar faces Chef Rachel Hargrove and Chief Stew Fraser Olender as he adjusts to new super yacht, St. David."

Rachel Hargrove, chef

Chef Rachel Hargrove on Below Deck season 10

"Originally from Tampa, Fla., Rachel Hargrove is a cosmopolitan yacht chef with an extensive repertoire of culinary skills. Although predominantly self-taught, Rachel attended the Culinary Institute of America and held an apprenticeship at the Michelin-starred restaurant Quatro Passi in Nerano, Italy. After spending time in Thailand, Japan, India and Italy to expand her craft, Rachel revels in her wide range of cuisines — from molecular gastronomy to gluten-free pasta, she is unphased by almost any charter guest preference sheet. A talented and experienced chef, Rachel admits her demanding professionalism can be polarizing to others. No matter their opinion, Rachel is always sure to stand her ground on deck."

Fraser Olender, chief stew

Fraser Olender in Below Deck season 10

"With a passion for luxury hospitality and travel, it was a no-brainer for Fraser to join the yachting industry four years ago. He got his start on a motor yacht in Naples, Italy, and has never looked back. Prior to yachting, Fraser worked in commercial bookings for leading model agencies in London. In the off-season, he loves to travel to picturesque destinations, staying at the world's finest hotels with the dream to one day open his own. Returning to the Caribbean to work under Captain Lee again, Fraser is thrilled to be chief stew on St. David. However, when the charter guests get too demanding, he must prove his worth as a department lead."

Ross McHarg, bosun

Ross McHarg on Below Deck season 10

"Leading the deck team this season is Bosun Ross McHarg. Originally from the UK, the British yachtie has spent the last 15 years living all over the world. Most recently, his travels have landed him in Asia, where he has set up base. Twelve years ago, Ross found yachting through teaching ski seasons in Europe and abandoned the snow for the sand without a second thought. With his love of travel and meeting new people, yachting was the perfect career move. A seasoned bosun, Ross brings experience and wisdom to his team, but his flirty ways get him in hot water with the crew."

Luis Antonio 'Tony' Duarte, deckhand

Tony Duarte in Below Deck season 10

"Originally from Costa Rica, deckhand Luis Antonio 'Tony' Duarte is no stranger to the seas. An adrenaline junkie, Tony has experience as a dive master in South Africa, whale-watching guide in Costa Rica and a zip-liner in the Bahamas. When he's not working in beautiful, remote locations, Tony enjoys surfing, fishing and cliff jumping. A man of nomadic nature with a passion for travel, Tony adventures from place to place but is looking forward to calling St. David his home for the charter season. With prior experience on smaller boats, Tony welcomes the challenge aboard his first super yacht."

Ben Willoughby, deckhand

Ben Willoughby in Below Deck season 10

"Born and raised on the Gold Coast of Australia, deckhand Ben Willoughby is a self-described 'ocean child at heart.' Inspired by a childhood friend's yachtie lifestyle, Ben first took to the high seas in 2020 when he joined a mega yacht crew in France. Combining his passion for fitness with his love of the water, Ben has worked as both a deckhand and personal trainer on yachts for the past three years. A social guy who firmly believes 'a Pina Colada is always a good decision,' Ben is eager to bring the party onboard. This thrill-seeking Aussie is determined to stand out on the deck of the St. David."

Hayley De Sola Pinto, stew

Hayley de Sola Pinto in Below Deck season 10

"Hailing from Cornwall, England, charismatic new stew Hayley De Sola Pinto is excited to cruise the Caribbean waters. During most of the year, Hayley is an advanced aesthetics practitioner for her self-built business Classen Aesthetics. Her love of travel and meeting new people has led her to work on and off yachts since she was 23. With her humor and empathetic personality, Hayley specializes in making charter guests feel welcome and at home on St. David. However, her admittedly loud and over-the-top personality often gets her into the mix of drama onboard."

Katie Glaser, deckhand

Katie Glaser in Below Deck season 10

"Deckhand Katie Glaser first fell in love with the glamorous and fast-paced yachting industry when she moved from Colorado to Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. Since starting her boating career as a stew three years ago, Katie has built an extensive resume as a deckhand and first mate on a variety of yachts. While Katie has worked in different corporate fields, including IT recruiting, account management and beverage sales, she has always had an affinity for the service industry. Katie spends nearly as much time in the water as she does on it, being a fan of snorkeling, wakeboarding and swimming. Always up for an adventure, this extroverted yachtie is eager to prove she has what it takes."

Alissa Humber, stew

Alissa Humber in Below Deck season 10

"A born and bred Floridian, Alissa Humber found herself diving headfirst into yachting just over two years ago. Now residing in Miami, Alissa spends her time working as a stew on temporary yacht jobs. During the off season, Alissa loves to shop and is enamored by the gorgeous, colorful fashion in her city. She also embraces nature and enjoys kayaking or hiking in the Sunshine State. Working as a stew aboard St. David, Alissa prides herself on pleasing the charter guests and ensuring they have the best time onboard. However, when conflict emerges between her and another stew, tensions rise amongst the entire crew."

Camille Lamb, deckhand/stew

Camille Lamb in Below Deck season 10

"Coming from a family of merchant mariners, boating has always been in Camille’s blood. With sailing experience since she was 9, Camille is a natural-born yachtie with a love for the water, the beach and traveling. An avid singer and songwriter as well, Camille competed on American Idol last year. Upon her elimination, Camille found herself lost and returned to her roots on the water. With just her sailing experience from childhood, Camille secured a position on a day-charter yacht in the Virgin Islands. Since then, Camille has had more formal yachting training under her belt with work experience in Miami and Los Angeles. Camille joins St. David this season working both on deck and inside the yacht as a deck/stew, but when she's split between the two departments, she loses motivation on board."

Below Deck season 10 airs on Mondays on Bravo, with new episodes streaming on Peacock the next day in the US and on Hayu in the UK.

In the fourth spin off of Below Deck, the now infamous decided to spice things up a little. Instead of the usual Mediterranean or Caribbean routine, Below Deck went to the less explored (but extremely breathtaking) Norway.

For this new serie filled with adventure, Below Deck picked the motoryacht Mercury, ex Malibu and Kermit, to explore the Fjords Norway is famous for.

Mercury is a 50m motoryacht built by the dutch shipyard Amels, and designed by Terence Disdale.

She can accomodate up to 12 guests and 12 crew onboard. No doubt, that should be enough for this new exciting season.

Mercury is available for charter from $170,000 a week . Her current selling price is $13,500,000 .

Thalassa (keri lee iii): the motoryacht in below deck down under season 1.

keri lee III below deck down under season 1

Thalassa was the vessel of choice for the Australian Spin off of Below Deck. The real name of the yacht isn’t actually Thalassa but Keri Lee III.

The 181ft (55m) yacht was built by the American shipyard Trinity Yachts and features amenities such as a gym, a jacuzzi and 6 magnificent cabins. The perfect vessel to sail in style the waters of Northeastern Australia.

Keri Lee has a weekly charter rate that starts at AUD310,000 .

Northern Sun: the yacht in Below Deck Down Under Season 2

northern sun below deck down under season 2

Below Deck Down Under season 2 explored the coasts around Cairns, the gateway to access the great barrier reef and the Whitsunday Islands.

And it’s hard to imagine a better yacht than the Northern Sun motoryacht to explore this iconic area. The Northern Sun is a 50.8m (now yacht) that used to be a vessel dedicated for ice exploration. The refit work took two years but was clearly worth it when we look at the result displayed in this second season of the Australian Spin off.

Although the Northern Sun is built by the Japanese Narasaki shipyard, it surely is a boat that fits Australian waters quite well and could delight anyone looking to explore the most rugged locations in style, whether they are polar or tropical.

Northern Sun is available for charter from $161,700 / week . Her latest asking price was $15,000,000 .

Since 2013, Below Deck has been captivating TV audiences across the globe by offering a voyeuristic peek into life on board multi-million dollar luxury charter yachts . Taking readers behind the scenes, YachtCharterFleet identifies the yachts featured on the show, as well as those which have appeared on the celebrated spin-off series Below Deck: Mediterranean , Below Deck: Sailing , Below Deck: Down Under and the latest iteration, Below Deck: Adventure .

Bravo’s hit reality TV series Below Deck chronicles the lives of crew members who work and reside aboard a luxury yacht during the charter season.

Each season features a different crew configuration, and the episodes show how the crew members interact and deal with personal issues alongside their working lives. The seasons are filmed over six weeks, with every episode featuring a new group of charter guests.

IONIAN PRINCESS

Ionain Princess season 1 Below Deck Mediterranean

Premiering on 3 May 2016, the very first season of Below Deck: Mediterranean , a spin-off of the increasingly popular franchise, took to viewers' screens. This time the ‘yachties’ took care of their guests onboard the motor yacht IONIAN PRINCESS  in the Mediterranean  destination of Greece .

The starring yacht IONIAN PRINCESS was delivered from Christensen in 2005 and was later refit in 2016 and again in 2021. Truly opulent, she bears interiors that are sleekly finished with a range of warmly toned woods and plenty of comfortable furnishings. She also boasts one of the largest sundecks for a yacht of her size.

Below Deck: Mediterranean Season 1 yacht IONIAN PRINCESS is not currently available for private yacht charter vacations.

Below Deck: Sailing Yacht

This is the first time the Below Deck franchise branched away from gleaming motor yachts, with the various weather issues that sailing yachts have to contend with adding even more drama and excitement.

The design of luxury sailing yachts  also creates far more confined crew areas than we are used to seeing on the original Below Deck . In general, sailing yachts tend to feature smaller galleys, compact stew stations and cramped crew quarters which are in closer proximity to the guests’ living areas, putting crew under increased pressure to deliver their signature silver service.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 3

In addition, deck crew are placed in a far more demanding role, with sailing yachts requiring increased accuracy and precision to safely maneuver and plenty of deck duties taking place in the midst of guest areas.

Promising another round of crew antics and high drama, the bulk of the action takes place on board the classic explorer yacht, primed for adventure and boasting a wealth of luxurious amenities and an eye-catching exterior, charter guests will be in for a treat.

20 Best Reality TV Shows Right Now

Big brother 26 week 6 power of veto ceremony results (spoilers), the bachelor producers scramble to fix their mistakes in jenn tran's season by announcing grant ellis as the lead early (did it work).

  • Gary's sexual misconduct scandal has permanently tarnished Below Deck Sailing Yacht.
  • Bravo must remove Gary from future seasons for the show to regain its reputation.
  • Season 5 may be in danger of cancellation due to Gary's scandal.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5 is highly anticipated, but its fate isn't promising after Gary King 's sexual misconduct scandal was revealed. Captain Glenn Shephard leads the cast of the exciting spin-off aboard the Parsifal III, with Gary, Colin Macrae, and Daisy Kelliher's love triangle as the pinnacle of season 4's drama. However, after Gary's sexual misconduct allegations were revealed and later brushed under the rug by Bravo producers, the popular franchise staple could be in danger. Will Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5 return?

During Below Deck Sailing Yacht filming in the summer of 2022, makeup artist Samantha Suarez escorted cast members back and forth for confessional interviews, including Gary. After a talking head in which Gary was visibly intoxicated, Samantha walked him back to his quarters, at which time Gary prevented her from leaving, even grabbing her from behind. While Bravo issued a statement, the allegations were barely addressed, and Gary still allegedly filmed Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5.

Reality TV is more popular than ever. With so many to choose from, here are some of the best reality TV shows to stream or watch right now.

Gary King's Misconduct Scandal Has Put A Permanent Negative Stain On BDSY

Gary needs to go.

Gary's sexual misconduct scandal has put a permanent stain on Below Deck Sailing Yacht . He's openly struggled with professionalism and alcohol on the show for years. Additionally, this isn't the first time alcohol has gotten Gary in trouble with sexual harassment. While Daisy came to his defense, his love triangle with Daisy and Colin was also problematic, with Gary becoming distracted by the Below Deck drama. By casting Gary in Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5, Bravo indicated that sexual misconduct wasn't taken seriously by the network .

Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 5 Needs To Bring It For Bravo To Order Another Season

The series is in trouble.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5 has allegedly already been filmed, with rumors swirling that Gary's scandal has halted its release. Given his prominence in the series, it would be difficult to edit Gary out of the show or even reduce his role. Therefore, it would be better for Bravo to scrap the current season entirely and film a new charter season for Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5 .

It's the responsibility of Bravo producers to ensure the safety of the cast and crew during filming, and Samantha wasn't adequately protected from Gary's advances.

The cast and crew would need to bring it to revitalize the spin-off, or it's going to get canceled. Below Deck , Below Deck Mediterranean , and Below Deck Down Under are successful enough to continue without Below Deck Sailing Yacht . The popular cast members could go to another Below Deck series.

What Can Below Deck Sailing Yacht Producers Do To Fix The Show's Reputation?

They need to get rid of gary.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht is a sinking ship , but not all hope is lost. Bravo producers have already shown their understanding of the seriousness of Gary's sexual misconduct by disinviting him to BravoCon in 2023. However, they need to further distance themselves from Gary and fire him from future seasons. If it's impossible to decrease his presence in Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5, the season needs to be scrapped. Only then can Below Deck Sailing Yacht return in good faith and conscience for another installment.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht is available to stream on Peacock.

Below Deck Yachts

Yacht with Below Deck logo

If you’ve never seen the show, it follows the crew of a luxury yacht during peak “charter season.” The original Below Deck, for example, showed off the glitz and glamour of the Caribbean, especially around St. Thomas, the British Virgin Islands, and the Bahamas. The Mediterranean spin-off, on the other hand, highlights European hotspots, including Italy, Spain and Croatia.

The show is undeniably a ton of fun. From the drama in the crew quarters, to the incredible beaches, the show provides an entertaining look behind the curtain.

Yet, the chartered superyachts are the real stars of the show. Each season, Below Deck features a truly stunning super yacht. All of them measure over 150 feet and are decked out in opulent features, staterooms and amenities. And here’s something you might not know: The majority of the Below Deck yachts are available for charter!

Below Deck Charter Yachts

Through five seasons, Below Deck has featured some of the most magnificent super yachts in the world. Some of the yachts have changed ownership since the show, been renamed, or have undergone a refitting. Yet, most look like they did from the show.

But beyond the name and maybe a few changes to the interior, there aren’t many differences. All of the water toys, Jacuzzis and stunning outdoor dining areas are what you’ll find on the yachts available for charter! So which charter yachts are available?

Here’s a more detailed look at the yachts featured on the original Below Deck:

Honor – Season 1

Lumiere yacht

Honor (which is now LUMIERE) kicked off the first season, and she put on a dazzling display. The yacht, originally built by Benetti in 1999, is one of the largest yachts ever featured on the show, and it was actually booked for a five-week charter for filming.

HONOR benefited from the new-found fame of the show. She sold after it aired for nearly $15 million, and the new owners completely refit her interiors and renamed the boat. Today, LUMIERE is a masterpiece of nautical engineering.

She features luxurious accommodations for up to 12 guests and an abundance of deck space, including a sprawling sun deck. The yacht also features a wide array of water toys (the slide was a struggle for the crew all season!).

Ohana – Season 2

Yacht Rhino

Season 2 took the crew on a tour of the British Virgin Islands and featured some familiar faces. Captain Lee, Chef Ben, and Bosun Eddie were back, much to the pleasure of fans. Yet, the yacht was completely different.

OHANA (real name is RHINO) was featured on the second season, a stunning 154-footer, with beautiful decks, a horseshoe outdoor bar, and a stunning outdoor sun deck. After the show aired in 2014, Ohana underwent an extensive retrofit.

She now features an updated interior with a decidedly modern, airy vibe, as well as new hardware, including a state-of-the-art stabilization system.

Eros – Season 3

Yacht Mustang Sally

EROS took centerstage in Season 3, and the 161-foot yacht, originally built for the founder of Tim Hortons, was one of the most luxurious featured on the show. The beautiful tri-deck, featured a stately saloon, a sky lounge Jacuzzi, and sleek exterior styling.

EROS – which was sold prior to the third season – has since been renamed and was also remodeled. She’s now known as Mustang Sally, and unfortunately, this is one of the few Below Deck charter yachts that’s not available for charter.

Valor – Seasons 4 & 5

charter yacht tv show

The stately VALOR was a fan favorite in Season 4 and 5. Built in 1990 by Dutch-based Feadship, the 154-foot VALOR featured a sprawling aft deck, perfect for sunset dinners and afternoon lounges. Plus, the ship – when featured on the show – had a range of water toys, including dual jet skis and a sleek, boutique hotel-inspired interior.

Like Mustang Sally, VALOR – which is now known as simply BG – isn’t available for charter. Yet, fans will always remember all the drama that took place on board.

Below Deck Mediterranean Yachts

Below Deck Mediterranean premiered in 2016, and through three seasons, the show has featured some of the Med’s best yachts. All of the yachts from the Mediterranean spin-off are available for charter, exactly how you see them on the show.

Ionian Princess – Season 1

Yacht Ionian Princess

Season 1 of Below Deck Mediterranean launched with a bang, featuring one of the strongest premieres for the franchise. Although there was plenty of drama throughout the season as the crew traveled around Greece, the beauty of IONIAN PRINCESS couldn’t be missed. The ship, which was originally built in the U.S. in 2005, featured a sleek, streamlined tri-deck design and gorgeous interiors.

The sun deck – where guests partied all season long – is one of the yacht’s star attractions, featuring a Jacuzzi with world-class views. Her interior, though, is one of the most stunning, featuring a chic design. The yacht also includes six cabins with accommodations for up to 12 guests.

Sirocco – Season 2

Sirocco yacht

Season 2 took the crew to Croatia, aboard SIROCCO. The Dutch-built yacht originally launched in 2006, and thanks to its unique two-tone, third-deck exterior, she was remembered for her striking exterior. All of the yacht’s features made great TV. From her incredible sun deck, to the African chic interior, and all of the many water toys, SIROCCO’s impressive design and amenities stood out.

Today, she’s available for charter throughout the Mediterranean. A few unique features include a sun deck gym, an alfresco party deck, a theatre, and a wide array of water toys.

Talisman Maiton – Season 3

Talisman

Named for an island in Thailand, TAILSMAN MAITON is a stunning tri-deck that cruises the pristine waters of Italy and all of the Mediterranean. The largest to ever be featured on the show, TAILSMAN is truly incredible.

The yacht accommodates 12 guests, in 6 beautifully appointed rooms. There’s a master suite, as well as 1 VIP stateroom, and four smaller cabins. The yacht was built in 2006, but most recently refit in 2016 with a timeless Art Deco aesthetic. The yacht also features a sundeck spa pool with a beautiful bar, a full-service gym, and an observation deck with panoramic views.

How Long Are the Below Deck Charters?

Here’s a little-known secret about Below Deck: The “charter season” on the show is just a few weeks. In fact, the yachts are actually booked for about six weeks, and their regular crews are sent home. In other words, the charters on Below Deck are actually a charter within a charter!

Each of the Below Deck charters last just a few days, and each episode features new charter guests.

Below Deck Yacht Rental Costs

Hiring a yacht from Below Deck isn’t cheap. The majority cost in the neighborhood of $150,000 per week. Yet, that charter rate doesn’t include expenses, including fuel, dockage fees, and taxes.

Yet, for that price, you’ll get a truly world-class experience. The crews of each of these yachts provide first-class service and all of the boats are fully loaded with amenities. There’s nothing quite like it in the world. And by hiring one of these superyachts, you’ll also have bragging rights for chartering a yacht featured on a TV show!

Below Deck superyacht My Seanna Starship

Inside My Seanna, the star superyacht of Below Deck season nine

Related articles, superyacht directory.

As season nine of Below Deck gets underway we take a closer look at the superyacht hosting all of the action with an exclusive interview from her charter broker and Captain…

The latest season of superyacht charter TV show Below Deck may be full of colourful characters but there is one star that undoubtedly takes centre stage amidst the drama; charter superyacht Starship . Known as My Seanna during the filming but now renamed Starship following her recent multi-million sale , the 56.4 metre motor yacht was first delivered in 2000 by Seattle-based shipyard Delta Marine .

The GRP and aluminium yacht was built in just two years to a design by Glade Johnson with naval architecture by Doug Sharp . She has undergone a number of refits and upgrades since but remains instantly recognisable with her sleek, silvered hull.

Stepping inside, Starship offers accommodations for 12 guests and 11 crew. Cabins and interior spaces have been finished in a classic style with touches of opulence; richly coloured, dark wood panelling, soft furnishings in cream with gilded edges, ornate chandeliers and exquisite marble and gold features in the ensuites. A piano adds the finishing piece to the lavish saloon in which entertaining takes place and meals and drinks are hosted.

"A short but extensive refit was completed since her sale, to brighten and update the interiors, without sacrificing the opulence which makes this boat who she is," says her captain, Steve Feldman, who has been with Starship since 2003.

Starship has spent much of her life chasing the warmth, cruising through the Mediterranean during the summer months and heading back west over winter for stop-offs from Florida to Puerto Rico. She is currently based in The Bahamas and this season will be taking guests on island-hopping charters between Nassau, Eleuthera the Exumas and the Abacos. To ensure guests can fully soak up the sunshine, there are a multitude of deck spaces on board from al fresco lounges and an outdoor dining table to dedicated sunbathing areas.

A highlight is the sundeck Jacuzzi, surrounded by a cocktail bar, while down below the expansive beach club offers shaded lounge space, access to a sauna and gym, a flatscreen TV and a small galley for prepping drinks and snacks. There’s even an outdoor cinema for movie nights under the stars.

"The owner specifically purchased this yacht with chartering in the Bahamas in mind," details her charter manager at Worldwide Boat, Rod Lindor. "Ample exterior deck space, plenty of storage for toys and most importantly the shallow draft of 2.4 metres are all important elements that make Starship a great charter yacht."

However, on board spaces are not the only important element of a successful charter on Starship . To ensure all guests can make the most of their time on the water, the yacht also boasts a well-stocked toybox filled with towable inflatables, kayaks, trampolines, fishing gear, a beach party set up and gear for waterskiing or wakeboarding. Since the refit, Captain Feldman adds that the yacht offers an "enhanced toy inventory," now offering "four jet skis, four sea bobs, dive gear including a dive master and a 12 metre Intrepid tender outfitted for fishing and diving." For exploring the surrounding coastline or for making a smooth entry or exit, Starship is additionally equipped with a helipad.

"The beauty of Starship is the versatility to accommodate groups of all types; from families and corporate guests to an all adults trip," explains Lindor. "With a mixologist, personal trainer, tea sommelier, and divemaster on board, there is a little something for everyone to enjoy."

With so much on offer, Starship perfectly sets the scene for the action of Below Deck to take place while still offering the ultimate luxury experience for charter guests on board. Lindor attests that her star appearances on the show have been a positive for the yacht, which was already "a bit of a celebrity in the yachting industry" even before her involvement.

" Below Deck has been great overall for the charter industry, as it has brought chartering a yacht more mainstream. Overall the publicity has been beneficial," adds Lindor.

Starship is managed for charter by Worldwide Boat with a weekly charter rate starting from $260,000. Episodes of Below Deck season nine air on Bravo every Monday at 21:00 ET, or can be streamed via Peacock TV the next day.

Vacationing Below Deck -style does not come cheap.

“Generally a boat that size, 150 foot -- this one's 160, Valor -- but around that price range, for seven days, is around $150,000,” star Kate Chastain spills to ET. “But that does not include airfare, fuel, food, wine, docking, tip. So, I would say for a boat like Valor, for a week vacation, it would be around a quarter of a million dollars.”

The hefty price tag, of course, comes with first-class service, largely courtesy of Kate -- especially this season.

“Not only was I picking up some slack for [my crew], but they didn't realize I was,” she laments. “They weren't, like, grateful for it, which was annoying. It was this horrible cycle … I actually am surprised I haven't gotten a few messages, like, 'Oh my gosh, Kate.' None, I don't think, so far.”

Tour the All-New Luxury Yacht From 'Below Deck'

‘When you've been in yachting for a while, you can tell if somebody steps on the boat, within five minutes, if they're a yachtie or not,” Kate notes. “It's very specific. There's something about being socially aware. The questions you ask, the questions you don't ask … you just know. So, I think Captain Lee can tell what we're dealing with.”

It’s not always easy dealing with demanding guests, either. The 34-year-old has had her fair share of not-so-nice charters -- all documented in her memoir, Lucky Charming , and in all her time yachting, she’s come up with one simple rule all guests should abide by.

“Just trust that your crew has it under control,” she adheres. “You don't need to be ordering the drinks [rapidly], because, actually, the only person you're hurting is yourself. Because if I'm running around making your crazy, you know, special ingredient mojito, I don't have time to plan this super amazing themed-party that you didn't even know was coming. Trust your chief stew.”

Below Deck airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo. Check out the video below for more from our chat with Kate.

Who are the worst Below Deck charter guests in franchise history?

Erica Rose on Below Deck Sailing Yacht and Jill Zarin on Below Deck

Below Deck Med just featured two of the rudest charter guests in the history of the hit-yachting franchise.

Mahisha Dellinger and Neysla Paltsev were dragged for their actions on Below Deck Med Season 9.

Meanwhile, Neylsa apologized for her actions o n the show but also threw some shade at the editing.

While Below Deck Med fans thought they were the worst, Neylsa and Mahisha are far from the worst guests ever to be on the show.

Let’s take a look at all the horrible guests ever in the Below Deck series.

Jill Zarin appeared on Below Deck Season 11 and earned serious backlash for her entitled behavior and for suggesting the crew have a bell she could ring whenever she needed something.

The Real Housewives of New York City alum wasn’t even the primary guest on the charter but certainly acted like she ran things.

Below Deck Season 8 guest Delores Flora will forever be remembered as the drunk who disobeyed Captain Lee Rosbach’s orders and got kicked off the charter.

It all happened because of her drunken late-night swim, which she did again after she was forced to leave the yacht.

Timothy Sykes was on Below Deck Season 2, showing off his wealth by flying a helicopter to the dock, wearing shirts with his name on them, and just being a jerk.

He even announced that he deducted $5,000 from the tip he was going to give because he had issues with Chef Ben Robinson’s food.

Below Deck Season 6, Kari Klein was demeaned the worst for her comments on chicken. Kari called out another guest for ordering chicken, claiming, “Chicken is what poor people eat.”

@andy.cohens.bussy I guess Im poor #belowdeck #bravotv #katechastain #captainlee #yachtlife #yachtie #belowdeck ♬ original sound – Andy Cohens Bussy (PK)

Chelsea Enright appeared on Below Deck Season 9 with her jaw wired shut. Chef Rachel Hargrove was forced to make all of her meals in smoothie form, and they were to be exactly what the other guests were eating. Yes, it was gross, and she got impatient at every meal.

Honorable mentions for awful guests go to Brandy Coffey for her drunken medical emergency and RHOC star Alexis Bellino for her PDA with a guy she’s no longer dating. Both of these guests were on Below Deck Season 7.

Below Deck Med and Below Deck Sailing Yacht

Leon Glore and Justin Thornton get lumped together for their Below Deck Med Season 5 stint. Leo went off on the lack of Oysters until Hannah Ferrier proved him wrong with the preference sheet.

@andy.cohens.bussy I love when a guest is proved wrong #belowdeck #belowdeckmed #bravotv #hannahferrier #captainsandy #customerservice ♬ original sound – Andy Cohens Bussy (PK)

Meanwhile, Justin and the group were slammed for a low tip, considering they were overly demanding and ran the crew ragged. Justin even brought along his dog Scout, who had to stay ashore where the crew would check on him at various times.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 2 introduced viewers to Erica Rose . While the crew were not fans and neither were viewers, Erica’s Season 2 appearance was nothing compared to her return in Season 3 with her husband, Charles Sanders.

They complained about everything, especially Chef Marcos Spaziani’s food. Charles said McDonald’s was better. Aside from being rude and ruining the white couch with self tanner, Eric and friends left a $6,000 tip.

Other honorable mentions from the spin-off shows include Below Deck Med Season 6 guest Athena Lucene and Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 3 guest Dr. Kim Nichols.

We have no doubt there are some we missed, so let Monsters and Critics know in the comments section who you feel are the worst guests in the Below Deck franchise.

Below Deck Med airs Mondays at 9/8c on Bravo. Seasons 1-9 are streaming on Peacock.

Below Deck Mediterranean Recap: Killer Tuna

Below deck mediterranean.

charter yacht tv show

Friends, Romans, countrymen, lend me your ears; I come to bury Jono, not to praise him … sorry, what? He’s actually still alive? Miraculously, Jono proves to be immortal and survives another week. But first, Medicane Daniel sends Aesha, Nathan, and the guests back to the boat, where they’re stuck indoors. I notice there are no welcome-back drinks ready for them, which seems indicative of how Aesha has to do everything for her team. She single-handedly entertains the guests by improvising a wine tasting, which is really just a pretentious way of saying “drinking a lot of wine.”

Tonight’s theme is merpeople, so Jono decides seafood is the move. This feels borderline cannibalistic to me. Ariel would never eat Sebastian or Flounder, right? Although one of their merman costumes includes a set of rubber balls dangling by the ankles, so I don’t think anyone’s thinking too deeply about it. On brand as always, Aesha loves the gag. She says anyone who knows her well knows that she loves balls. That’s a great setup for a misdirection joke that she loves basketballs, but no, she loves her fiancé Scott’s balls. I really did not need to know this.

During dinner, I’m on the edge of my seat as Jono serves tuna carpaccio to everyone, knowing full well that Jennifer doesn’t eat raw seafood. Jennifer is insanely chill about this and even says it looks beautiful. One of the other guests asks, “Why can’t you eat it?” To which she goes, “It could kill me,” and laughs. Sometimes, all you can do in an uncomfortable situation is laugh. Due to iron overload, also known as hemochromatosis, Jennifer can only eat cooked seafood, and it was on her preference sheet multiple times. This is like a shot to the heart of Jono’s career, and it gets worse: Captain Sandy is the one to check in with the guests and discover the mistake. Now that’s a head shot.

This is a fireable offense that Sandy’s never had happen before. I’m a little surprised that she lets Aesha off scot-free. The chief stew usually double-checks things but is spread too thin and misses it. When Sandy calls Jono out, he hilariously bullshits that some people say when you use a lot of lime, it “cooks” the fish. Sandy: “No. ❤️” She reaches out to Norma at the yacht crew placement agency to look for a new chef who can start ASAP. At least the primary Pamela is too drunk to care about this attempted manslaughter, so it won’t affect the tip. It’s time to cut her off when Aesha feeds her via choo-choo train fork. Pam’s dead eyes show that the train has left the station.

Jono may have had the worst night, but it’s a rough night for everyone in the interior. Bri can’t find her black evening dress, which brings her to tears. Aesha works 18 hours straight — hello, Bravo? I’d like to report a possible labor law violation — and she still has to remind Ellie to put bar towels away. Ellie doesn’t think nitpicking is a good leadership style, and her crankiness only increases the next morning because she oversleeps. Ellie also accidentally leaves her phone in a guest room. For a second, I thought the guest was going to see something they weren’t supposed to, but the phone itself is a huge no-no. Aesha says she shouldn’t have her phone on her at all while working. Rather than acknowledge that she has room to improve, Ellie thinks she’s being taken for granted. Aesha’s hopeful that a fourth stew will solve all their problems, and now that the leak in the extra crew cabin is fixed, Sandy’s ready to hire one. Aesha is elated by the news. I bet the labor lawyers and accountants handling her overtime are too.

The next day, the weather clears enough to go out to sea for some water sports. Gael and Joe butt heads over where to tie up the Jet Skis, and Joe thinks it’s because she doesn’t like him telling her what to do. I think it’s because deep down, Joe doesn’t like that she went for Nathan, showed him no interest, and can see right through how he’s leading the stews on. In the same vein, I doubt he’d be so nice about Bri missing one of his polo shirts if he didn’t still want to sleep with her. For her part, Bri tries to keep her distance from Joe and resist temptation by picturing him as an old man. Is it the eyebrows, or is anyone else picturing Joe as Carl from Up ?

The Mustique heads back to the marina for the evening to celebrate Janie and Steve’s 25th anniversary with a black-and-white theme and fireworks. Aware that his job is on life support, Jono double-checks the preference sheets for dinner and makes sure everything is cooked for Jennifer. His calamari octopus and king crab bruschetta go over well, but the dessert is a disappointment. Evidently, Jono should’ve triple-checked their requests because they were hoping for a crème brûlée or soufflé. Instead, he put ice cream on a cookie on a slice of cake. Honestly, I’d eat it in a heartbeat, but Aesha and Janie deem it not anniversary worthy. If the tuna got him fired, the cookie was the nail in his coffin. Or should we say the cardamom in his Mexican food? Jono’s more deflated than a botched soufflé.

Yet, Jono rises from the dead to make beignets for breakfast. It seems like they’re a last gasp for air since Sandy calls Jono to the bridge after the charter, prepared to fire him. Except, Norma can’t find a chef available right now. Jono’s hand bursts out of the ground: He lives! Sandy asks why he went with a cookie, and he admits it was easier after a challenging dinner. For now, Sandy would rather have a subpar chef than no chef, not wanting a repeat of season six’s Matthew debacle. As a viewer, I would love to see the crew try to cook, but I understand the decision. And forget the after-show; give Norma at the placement agency her own spinoff.

At the tip meeting, Sandy commends the crew for bringing the energy despite being stuck at port. They’re rewarded with $25,000; even better, the new stew will join today. Joe is too keen about this news, whereas Ellie is pout city. Aesha kicks off a cabin shuffle: Iain will take the solo cabin, Bri will move in with Jono, Gael will move back with Aesha, and the new girl will bunk with Ellie. She’s like a little kid who just got told they’re going to be a big sister and is pissed about it. I’m looking forward to Ellie’s reaction when she sees that the new stew is a blonde in a unitard. That’s basically Ellie’s whole thing!
