Drumfire is a custom sailing yacht launched in 2007 by Jachtwerf Sudsee and most recently refitted in 2009.

Drumfire measures 24.00 feet in length, with a max draft of 3.40 feet and a beam of 5.60 feet.

Drumfire has an aluminium hull.

Her exterior design, naval architecture and interior design is by Hoek Design Naval Architects.

Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race 2024

Oroton Drumfire

A particularly attractive Hoek design, Oroton Drumfire is named for the long-distance desert race horse of the same name. She placed 65 th in 2019’s 75 th  Rolex Sydney Hobart and in her first Rolex Sydney Hobart in 2018, with updated rigging, sails and other modifications, the 24-metre yacht finished 45 th .

This luxury yacht’s exterior and interior are beautifully kept, and her timber interior has been personally designed. She features a double cockpit and double coach roof. Before she was purchased and brought to Australia in 2015, Oroton Drumfire , which draws admiring glances wherever she goes, won the 2011 Superyacht Cup Palma. Another interesting crew mix includes Adrienne Cahalan and Volvo Ocean Racer Stacey Jackson, who skippered Wild Oats XI to second overall in 2018.

Claasen sailing superyacht Drumfire back on the market with Fraser Yachts

The 24 metre performance sailing yacht Drumfire is now back on the market, listed for sale by Thorsten Giesbert at Fraser Yachts in Palma.

Built in aluminium by Dutch specialist yard Claasen Jachtbouw to a design by Andre Hoek and launched in 2006, she underwent a refit in 2012. She features a classic two cockpit layout, offering space and privacy for owners and guests – especially when moored stern-to. The aft cockpit is dedicated to steering and sailing gear while further forward the centre cockpit is intended for socialising. Below, a timeless interior design has panelling throughout in semi-gloss Swietenia mahogany and flooring in jatoba with maple inlays.

Accommodation is for up to seven guests in three staterooms consisting of an owner’s cabin aft with a double berth to port and a single berth to starboard. There are also two guest cabins forward of the saloon, one with a full double berth and one with upper and lower berths. All cabins have en suite bathroom facilities. Under power, a single 185hp Perkins Sabre engine gives her a range of 1,000 nautical miles.

Currently cruising in the Caribbean, Drumfire is asking €2,550,000.
