Accommodation

 LEGEND's luxurious 11-cabin arrangement is perfectly equipped to accommodate any variety of groups up to 22 guests. With each suite assigned its own particular character themed to a specific destination around the world, guests will want for nothing when it comes to luxury accommodation onboard LEGEND.

The master or Paris suite on its own dedicated deck is meticulously appointed with a king sie bed, his and hers ensuites both with a bath and show, walk-in wardrobe, study and its own lounge area. There are three more VIP suites on upper and main deck (Moscow, Paris and New York suite) all en suites and accentuated by rich mahogany and plush materials to give an inviting feel. LEGEND is family ready for child and carers with two convertible twin suite on the main deck, the Sydney and Rio de Janeiro suites, both with ensuite shower room. The Panama suite on the upper deck can also be converted to a double room, also with an en suite shower room. 

From her Balinese style spa, choice of jacuzzis, fully equipped gym, 14-seater cinema to her piano and whiskey bars, LEGEND is designed to entertain guests of all ages. EXTERIOR This wonderful yacht offers three main deck levels plus a sky-high observation deck with 360-degree views thanks to the glass balustrade which can be enjoyed from the plush sun pads. The sun deck also boats supremely comfortable sun pads and a circular dining table making a sociable and convivial space.

Alternative al fresco dining can be hosted on the upper deck aft with adjacent sofas perfect for pre-dinner drinks. The expansive foredeck on this level is all about the pool which is accompanied by a wide sun pad.

On the main deck a curved built-in sofa and occasional chairs create sheltered lounge space under the shade of the overhang. Steps lead down to the water’s edge platform which is extended when the transom door is opened to reveal a lovely beach club.

INTERIOR The interior décor blends warm wood finishes with neutral soft furnishing. The collection of relaxed furniture creates elegant lounge and dining settings in the main salon and sky lounge.

LEGEND Specifications

The upper deck is home to the sky lounge and bridge, plus captain’s accommodation and convenient day head. The main deck is configured with the main salon aft – an open plan lounge and dining room – galley and pantry amidships, another day head and a stunning forward master suite.

The stern space on the lower deck is a wonderful beach club while four guest staterooms are amidships and the crew quarters forward.

Heli Operations

Legend’s fully commercial helideck is capable of supporting a range of heli-operations, from airborne arrivals and departures to heli-skiing and remote exploration. A helicopter can be chartered at an extra cost, with heli-pilot accommodated in addition to the crew.

The 34.14m/112' gulet yacht 'Legend' (ex. Charlatan) was built by Alloy Yachts in New Zealand at their Auckland shipyard. Her interior is styled by British designer design house RWD and she was completed in 1999. This luxury vessel's exterior design is the work of Ron Holland Design and she was last refitted in 2016.

Legend has been designed to comfortably accommodate up to 6 guests in 3 suites. She is also capable of carrying up to 5 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.

Range & Performance

Legend is built with a aluminium hull and aluminium superstructure, with teak decks. Powered by 1 x diesel MTU (8V 183 TE62) 496hp engines, she comfortably cruises at 10 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 12 knots with a range of up to 3,000 nautical miles from her 10,500 litre fuel tanks at 10 knots. Her water tanks store around 5,500 Litres of fresh water.

Next-Level Cruising: 2022 Palm Beach PB70 For Sale

Looking for a stout, finely finished, high-performing Downeast-style yacht with a thoroughly modern build? Falcon , a 2022 Palm Beach PB70, has just entered the market with Grand Banks at $4.999 million.

“Her lines are much sleeker than those of most other boats in her class, many of which tend to skew more classical and, frankly, more boxy,” Yachting previously reported . “This boat is sexy, with a raked windshield and gently curving sheer line that reaches aft toward a generous tumblehome.”

Construction is vacuum-infused E-glass with carbon fiber for structural areas. The deck and superstructure are built with infused carbon fiber for strength without added weight. Coring is Airex and Corecell foam.

Boarding Falcon via the teak swim platform, the cockpit is accessed through a transom door to starboard. The first things I noticed were the teak sole, fixed Bimini and al fresco space to entertain family and friends. Guests can relax on an L-shaped settee with a custom hi-low teak table or the aft-facing L-shaped settee with table to starboard. Grill a few burgers for lunch on the Kenyon electric BBQ before grabbing a few water toys out of the garage. Falcon ’s tender garage is currently used for stowage with the tender stowed on the hardtop. Rinse off using the cockpit shower with fresh hot/cold water and dry off in the sun on a couple sun pads or an inset settee for two on the foredeck. Some other amenities include:

• Garage w/built-in with electric door, ladder, custom paddle board holders, custom bike holders, custom storage box for snorkeling gear & Seabob
• Opacmare Transformer hydraulic swim platform (900-pound capacity) with stainless-steel staple rail and removable tender chocks

A set of double teak doors from the cockpit lead to the salon. A Burmese teak interior is illuminated by natural light flowing in through the windows that surround the salon. Relax on the portside sofa with a hi-low teak table that converts to an additional berth, settee with table to starboard, barrel chair and custom ottoman with flip fabric/teak lid. Solid teak cabinetry and lockers provide stowage space for salon accessories. Catch a game on the retractable flat- screen TV or nose into a book using the custom reading lights. 

Forward, and open to the salon, is Falcon’ s helm station. The helm has a custom Sisal “Samarra” carpeted sole on the raised portion of the helm, matching the salon, a teak sole through the helm companionway and a teak helm console. Optional. leather Stidd helm chairs were added along with a custom portside companion helm seat with a fixed armrest. Falcon has the following electronics and navigation tech:

• Cockpit aft-facing camera, starboard bulkhead
• Garmin WiFi

• Starlink SAT communication system

Falcon has a one-of-a-kind tender, a Palm Beach PB14, that is mounted on the hardtop and can be easily launched using a custom transformer davit with powered hoist and rotatable base built into the mast. The carbon fiber tender with a Honda 30 hp outboard includes one Garmin GPSMAP 753XSV, Fusion Marine black box MS-BB1100 entertainment system with bluetooth wired remote and NMEA 2000, Fusion 4″ speakers and custom upholstery.

Down a few steps and forward the helm station is Falcon ’s galley. It has a teak sole and teak cabinetry, large countertops and a stainless-steel sink. appliances include a Miele KM6320 3-burner induction cooktop, Miele DA 1260 with optional odor-free charcoal filter, DKF 18-900 range hood and Miele H6200 BM speed microwave/convection oven. Other galley amenities include the following:

• Sub-Zero ID-24R refrigerator/freezer
• Water purification system
• Hideaway pull-out disposal bin at inboard end of galley
• Overhead locker above cooktop on forward bulkhead of galley
• Plate rack with cup holders
• Drawer stowage

After a long day on the water, retire to one of three staterooms. The amidships master stateroom has a king-sized island berth with under-berth stowage and an en suite head. The sole is covered with a custom Sisal “Samarra” carpet with acoustic underlay and the teak cabinetry has a satin finish. Owners will find plenty of stowage for their personal belongings in a hanging locker with mirror, stowage lockers with positive locking hardware as well as a Diplomat hotel P25EN safe. Catch the rest of the game on the flatscreen smart TV or turn on one of the six custom reading lights to finish the chapter before falling off to sleep. The VIP has a queen-sized island berth with en suite head. Personal belongings can be stowed in a dresser and stowage lockers with teak cabinetry. The guest stateroom has two single berths with teak cabinetry and custom portholes. Stowage lockers, dressing cabinet with mirror and custom teak shelves provide stowage for personal belongings. The guest stateroom could also be used as crew quarters.

Kyle Hines retires: The four-time EuroLeague champion calls it a day

He spent 14 seasons playing in the EuroLeague across four different clubs

One of the most legendary players to ever grace the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague has decided to hang up his sneakers. After 425 games, 3,339 points, 1,855 rebounds, 510 assists, 287 steals and 320 blocks, Kyle Hines has called time on his professional basketball career.

"Today I officially announce my retirement from professional basketball. A career that started in 2008, I could have never imagined that basketball would have taken me this far. When I didn't get drafted, what I thought would be one of the biggest disappointments in my life turned out to be my biggest blessing... Coming to Europe gave me the opportunity to grow as a person, it allowed me to compete at the highest level. It allowed to become a competitor, a leader, and a champion. Off the court, it has given me the opportunity to travel the world, meet so many great people and share in some amazing moments that will last a lifetime.

"My journey has been nothing short but amazing. My dreams of playing professional basketball, while the individual and team accomplishments mean a lot, they weren't the reason I played the game. I played the game for the work, the love, and the opportunity to compete with my teammates every single day. My grandfather once told me: do the best you can be possible, do with the tools you have been given. That was my goal every day I stepped on the basketball court.

A EuroLeague legend

The 37-year-old, who played for four clubs across a 14-season stretch in the EuroLeague, went out on a high, too, after lifting the Italian League championship with EA7 Emporio Armani Milan on Thursday night. That is his third straight Italian League title, while he helped the team win the Italian Cup in 2020-21 and 2021-22, as well as the Italian Super Cup in 2019-20. The veteran big man was also a key factor in guiding Milan back to the EuroLeague Final Four in 2021, ending the club’s 29-year wait to return to European basketball’s showpiece event.

Hines made his EuroLeague debut with Brose Bamberg in 2010-11, then spent two seasons at Olympiacos Piraeus (2011-13), seven campaigns with CSKA Moscow (2013-20), and four years with Milan (2020-24). In that time, he became a EuroLeague champion on four occasions – in back-to-back years with Olympiacos in 2012 and 2013, before lifting the trophy in 2016 and 2019 with CSKA. Then, in 2020, Milan’s No. 42 was selected to the EuroLeague 2010–20 All-Decade Team.

Renowned for his play on the defensive end of the floor, Hines was chosen as the recipient of the EuroLeague Best Defender award three times – in 2015-16, 2017-18 and 2021-22 – and holds the all-time record for games played with 425 EuroLeague appearances. He ranks fifth in all-time minutes (8,789:32), 11th in points (3,339), second in two-pointers made (1,332), first in offensive rebounds (824), eighth in defensive boards (1,031), second overall in rebounding (1,855), 11th in steals (287), third in blocks (320) and fifth in accumulated PIR (4,299).

It is not just in the EuroLeague where Hines has left his mark on European basketball. Domestically, Hines has lifted 18 trophies during his illustrious career. While his EuroLeague start came with Bamberg in 2010-11, he spent the first two years of his professional career with Veroli in the Italian second tier. There, he twice won the Italian Second Division Cup (2008-09, 2009-10) before moving on to Bamberg, where he secured the German League, German Cup and German Super Cup titles. In Greece with Olympiacos, Hines was part of the team that won the 2011-12 Greek League title, then at CSKA he lifted six VTB League titles between 2014 and 2019. Now in Italy, Hines has three Italian League titles to his name, as well as two Italian Cup triumphs and one Italian Super Cup.

In addition to his play on the court, Hines has shown his compassionate side by being a positive force and active presence for Euroleague Basketball’s One Team program. He also appeared on Euroleague Basketball's "Overseas" documentary featuring Olympiacos's Shaquielle McKissic and AS Monaco's Donatas Motiejunas. EuroLeague fans have been able to hear Hines’s journey into the media, too, thanks to the A Quarter with Kyle Hines podcast and his occasional appearances on The Players’ View.

Kyle Hines is and forever will be a EuroLeague legend. Here’s to a wonderful career, Kyle!
