Every aspect of the DragonFlite 95 V2 has been developed with very latest radio sailing design concepts , construction , and components for a first-class radio sailing experience, right out of the box! --- at a fraction of the price of other models in the 1-meter class.
Everything needed to sail is included in the kit, all you need to do is add AA batteries and go sail!
The DragonFlite 95 V2 uses cutting edge components not found in other manufactured RC Yacht models including:

The DragonFlite 95 V2 is a yacht designed to be a convenient size, on and off the water. It’s light weight and long, narrow hull is designed to cut through the water with minimal drag; and give it the kind of light wind performance most other radio yachts can only dream of. The downside of this lightweight design approach would normally be an inability to perform in strong winds. The DragonFlite 95 has countered this by designing low aspect, lightweight rigs with careful sail plan development that underwent rigorous performance and functionality testing, to ensure perfect handling and balance. Even when the boat is overpowered it still remains easily controllable to windward and always has astonishing speed downwind with almost no tendency to ‘nosedive’. The unique “kick” in the main boom is designed to prevent dragging in the water at extreme lean angles.
The DragonFlite 95 V2 is an officially recognized class by the American Model Yachting Association , the national governing body for US Sailing .

I sailed a 22’ Venture many years ago as a novice and decided to give RC a try. The DF95 was the first to show up in my search and am I glad! Mostly excellent assembly instructions except for one or two skipped steps in the documentation. First time out she handled beautifully with zero problems! I’ve even purchased a second one for the winter home. Highly recommended!

I’ve sailed full sized boats before but this was my first try at RC, it was a breeze! This seems to be a well designed and carefully thought out product. There was an error/omission of a step(s) in the instructions but otherwise they were well done and one small eyelet ring was missing from the parts. I can highly recommend this boat, even for newbies!

Excellent. The product arrived in less than a week, perfectly packaged. The instructions and photographs were very clear and complete and the assembly/rigging went very well. Not "easy" but doable with care and patience. She then had her maiden voyage in the community pool and worked extremely well. I am very happy with the product and the final result. Now off to the races.

Advice on Batteries
For those skippers who choose to use 4xAA Rechargeable NiMH batteries in the boat, they will only charge to 1.2v per cell, so 4x1.2 = 4.8v max and discharges to lower voltage with use, and sometimes will affect your Range because of this. Also, your Rudder or Sail winch may begin to operate with a jitter when at minimum level. So many have upgraded to the LiFe 6.6v 850 mAh battery which maintains voltage all day, giving consistent range and operation.
Also 4xAA NiMH Batteries weigh approx. 90 to 100 grams, and the Life battery is approx. 56 grams and as low as 47 grams, where DF rules specify minimum battery weight is 45 grams.

Available in both PNP (no transmitter or receiver) and RTR (includes transmitter and receiver) versions, these models arrive highly prefabricated and ready for final assembly and rigging.

The new V2 Dragon flite 95 is the next logical step in providing a high performance, competition yacht at a fraction of the price of normal models in the 1 metre class. This yacht is unique in concept from nearly every aspect. The sleek and narrow hull is designed to cut through the water with minimum drag. The fin is moulded from ultra-rigid carbon fibre to provide the correct balance of low drag and high strength. Above deck, the entire sail rig has been optimised through careful testing for both area & shape and the sails are made from durable Mylar with all necessary re-inforcements. The unusual ‘kick’ in the main boom is designed to prevent it dragging in the water at extreme lean ngles.
The kit includes a high power sail servo and a metal-geared servo for steering.

DragonFlite 95 (DF95)
A larger version, the DragonFlite 95 was sanctioned in 2019. It is 95cm and weighs around 2.0 kg.
After rigorous performance and functionality testing the designers have produced a well-balanced and fast yacht. It is constructed of several cutting edge components and composite materials not found in similar priced RC yachts, with carbon fibre keel fin, advanced design keel bulb, shroudless one-piece carbon mast, and mylar sails. 4 rigs are also used to suit the conditions.
The Australian distributor is Hobby Warehouse based in Sunshine, Victoria.

 The leaders of the fleet of DF 95 racing at Chipstead SC Model Yachts Dragonflite 95 (DF 95)ts. The newest class of Model yacht to sail at Chipstead is the Dragon Flite 95 DF95 which is 95cm in length, is a fast, easy to sail restricted one design model yacht to be raced as supplied by the builder which must comply with the restricted class rules. It is sailed at many clubs in the UK and all around the world. The cost of this model encourages starters to get involved in the sport of model yacht racing as the purchase kit includes all that is necessary to be on the water for less than £300—and be competitive very quickly. This yacht has 4 rig sizes to suit the wind strength. Certificates and sail numbers are obtainable from the DF Racing UK National Class Association at no cost. Rules for the racing of this yacht are the same as for all classes. Copies of these rules can be obtained from the MYA or from the club. It was introduced to the club about a year ago and now has a fleet of 19 boats which sail every Monday morning at 10.00am. and on Fridays which is an open day for all classes. The concept came to fruition in 2013 with the DF65, based on the Ice RG65 by Mark Dicks. Produced by Joysway Hobby Co in China the DF65 was an instant hit and to date (early 2016) there are over 12,000 boats out there sailing and racing. Whilst the DF65 was finding its feet John Tushingham was approached again by Joysway to produce a large radio yacht. A great deal of development work on the DF95 took place. The original lines came again from Mark Dicks with JT and Buzz Coleman spending many hours perfecting the design and layout of the new yacht. Production prototypes arrived for testing and evaluation in August 2015 and since then there has been a flurry of activity to make sure that the final production boats are absolutely correct. The DragonFlite 95 is constructed of several cutting edge components and composite materials not found in similar priced RC yachts produced by any other manufacturer. With carbon fibre keel fin, advanced design keel bulb, shroudless keel step, one piece carbon mast and mylar sails this all new racer has the kind of light wind performance most other radio yachts can only dream of. Its lightweight and long, narrow hull would normally mean an inability to perform in strong winds, however this has been countered by designing low aspect, lightweight rigs with careful sail plan development to ensure awesome handling and balance. Even when the boat is overpowered it still remains easily controllable to windward and always has astonishing speed downwind with almost no tendency to ‘nosedive’. Likino-Dulyovo, Russia Tours, Attractions and Things To Do in Likino-DulyovoLikino-Dulyovo is a small town in the Orekhovo-Zuevsky District of Moscow Region which is best known for its exquisite porcelain now on display at Museum Dulevo Porcelain. It all started in 1832 when Terenty Kuznetsov, a member of a noble dynasty of ceramics producers, acquired a plot of land between the village of Likino and the Dulyovo moor and opened a porcelain factory there. Dulyovo (Dulevo) Porcelain Factory reached its heyday during the Soviet years after one of the factory’s artists received first prize at Brussels World Fair for his Falcon sculpture. The factory, now the oldest enterprise in the city, is one Russia and Europe’s largest manufacturers of paints and decals for enamelware and porcelain, faience and glass tableware. An excursion to Likino-Dulyovo Porcelain Factory and the accompanying Museum Dulevo Porcelain promises to be a colorful tour of a wholly unique establishment filled with sculptures, dishes, jewelry and other exquisite memorabilia. Likino-Dulyovo is likewise famous for LiAZ, a Russian bus manufacturer known for its high-quality city buses. The company was established in 1933 and has been producing buses for use across Russia since 1959. Visitors can learn all about the history and national impact of LiAZ, rated by many as “Best City Bus”, on a city tour of Likino-Dulyovo. Porcelain and public transport aside, this fascinating town promises quaint sights reminiscent of bygone Russia. One of its most striking attractions is Church of St. John the Divine, a 19 th - century structure built in the neo-Byzantine style. The church is massive yet also delicate and harmonious in its external appearance, while the interior decor amazes with striking frescoes. Likino-Dulevo Museum of Local Lore likewise deserves special attention, for its seven halls are filled with exhibits which detail the origin of the town’s name and its history, from the founding of an early settlement in 1209 up until the present day.
